Days had passed and now was the time for the tournament to begin!
The sun was rising and people were getting out of their beds. Kiron was already awake, and he was currently sitting around a large table eating breakfast.
Shion came walking over to the table. He also wanted to eat some food before the tournament would begin! “Hey Kiron, how did the training with your Crimson Devourer go yesterday? I fell asleep while waiting for you to come back…” Shion said in a casual voice.
Kiron had spent half his time refining High Ranked Cores, and the rest was spent on getting used to the Crimson Devourer.
“I’ve been able to master the Crimson Devourer! I’m used to its weight now, and I know its limits.” Kiron continued, “But, when I get to the Profound Spiritual Realm, I will be able to train with Profound Skills!”
Shion finished eating a fried pig that was on the table, “You already got 2 skills from that Naro guy, are you going to use those? That Meteor Slash seems very powerful if used by a sword like the Crimson Devourer!”
“Yes, I’m going to learn both those skills when I get to the Profound Spiritual Realm!” Kiron spoke with a smile on his face. Whenever he thought about reaching the Profound Spiritual Realm he would start smiling.
He had also heard that comprehending and using the Profound Skills properly could take years for some, which instantly brought him out of his trance. But, while it might take years for some to comprehend and use a Profound Skill, it can also be done in weeks, depending on talent.
*Knock knock*
Kiron got out of his seat and started walking towards the door where someone just knocked. He opened the door, and there was a man wearing a white robe and a Tranos emblem. In other words, a servant of the Kingdom of Tranos.
“Come with me, you will be brought to one of the tournament grounds. There you will receive information regarding the tournament.” The man said.
Kiron and Shion followed the man.

They arrived at a large room that was located at the bottom of the castle. There was a small stage, large enough for one man to stand on and the room was filled with disciples from all kinds of sects and clans!
“Then, just wait here and someone will come and explain the details to you.” The man said as he walked away.
Kiron looked at the surroundings. It was a huge, black room filled with nothing but pillars and a small stage! A room this huge that’s not being used for anything? It makes one wonder.
“Hey, you’re Kiron right?” A small group of both men and women came up to Kiron and started speaking with him. They were all around 20 years old.
It made sense for almost everyone in this room to be at least 20 years old. Reaching the Profound Spiritual Realm before being at least 20 years old? And only the large clans and sects were invited to this tournament, so they would only bring out their best disciples. Kiron being an exception, considering he can already be compared to someone at the Profound Spiritual Realm!
Kiron couldn’t sense if there was anyone other than him who was still at the Profound Practitioner Realm, but right now he’s sure that he is the only one below the Profound Spiritual Realm.
“Yea, I’m Kiron.” He said with a hint of arrogance in his voice. He’s not going to treat every stranger with respect, especially not when they are his opponents.
Kiron realized after spending all his time with Shion, that he was way too kind to some people. Kindness can be a huge weakness.
“Then that must be Shion! It’s a pleasure to meet you!” The group bowed their heads slightly as the clapped their hands together.
Kiron stared at the group with a look of surprise on his face, “You know who I am?” He wasn’t one to spread his name around. Kiron hates being the center of attention.
“Of course, everyone knows! You’re the first guy aside from Baroona to have tamed a Divine Beast!” The group of people spoke with respectful tones.

Kiron’s face turned a bit angry, “I never tamed him. We’re friends, and we created a Spiritual Bond consensually. Don’t talk about Shion like he’s some kind of creature that I had to tame.” Kiron never had a good temper when it came to things like these.
The faces in the group instantly turned sour. Their plan was to build a good relationship with Kiron, thinking that he might be the next person to stand on top of this world! But they were instantly shut down.
Making a good first impression means a lot, but you only have one chance at doing so. The group then turned around and started walking away from Kiron. They simply didn’t want to dig their graves even further.
A lot of people came walking up to Kiron, hoping to befriend him… But they were all turned down. One by one.
Manda and Weila were both standing in a corner, laughing silently every time someone was turned down. They found it amusing that so many people were willing to try and kiss his ass.
Only disciples were allowed in this room, all the elders have to wait in another room where they will be given information regarding the tournament.
A small group of people started walking towards Kiron, “What’s so great about that brat? He’s only at the Profound Practitioner Realm! Nothing good about him.” The man walking towards Kiron had an angry look on his face. He was wearing a green coat with a snake emblem. He is from the Hidden Snake Sect!
“Hey, we really shouldn’t… There’s so many people here! We should just take care of him during the tournament, where no one is watching! Don’t you agree, Rovo?” A woman said. She obviously cared about honor to some degree. She didn’t want to be seen beating up a 16 year old kid of the Profound Practitioner Realm.
Kiron who was standing next to Shion, noticed the small group coming towards him with angry expressions on their faces. But, instead of worrying, a small smile appeared on his face!
“Kiron, how about a little match between us? I’m sure the guards would allow a friendly match!” Rovo tried putting on a friendly face, thinking that he might scare Kiron away if he wore an angry face.
Kiron started laughing. He had already realized Rovo’s intentions. “If you’re interested in tasting some pain, then go ahead.”
Rovo’s face started reddening from all the anger. But what Kiron couldn’t understand was, just why would Rovo be so angry? Jealousy? Sure, Kiron could see why some people might be a bit jealous, but to become so angry, just because of someone you don’t even know…
The reason why Rovo was so angry is because he considers Kiron to be nothing more than a weak ant, but the weak ant actually dares talk back to him in such a manner?
Everyone were already staring at Kiron and Rovo. A match between a prodigy at the Profound Practitioner Realm and the strongest disciple from the Hidden Snake Sect, who is also at the Profound Spiritual Realm? Everyone wanted to watch this!
“Hey everyone, make some room so that I and this brat can fight!” Rovo shouted out with an angry voice.
The guards were staring at Kiron and Rovo, “Hey, what should we do about this?” They sent a message to a person in another room using their spiritual sense.
“Let them fight!” The mysterious voice in the other room said back.
The guards then went back to their positions and started acting as if nothing was going on. But even they couldn’t help but feel a little bit excited. This was a match they wanted to see as well.
Everyone walked away from the center of the room, leaving a spot for Kiron and Rovo to fight in!
Shion walked up to the front row and sat down there. No one dared to get close to Shion. “Hey Kiron, are you going to kill him?” Shion said to Kiron through their soul. He wouldn’t mind if Kiron killed him or not. He would follow Kiron no matter what choice he made.
Kiron looked at Shion, “I’m not sure. We will first see how this goes!”

Ira’s Faithful
[On Hiatus due to health reasons] Synopsis: Fate has plans for everyone. There are many paths one can walk and many nodes one can unlock. Yet all mortal souls only start with one node. This has been the case for many years and while there are some records of people with more than one first node, these are as rare as wings on snails, roses made of air, or ropes made of dragon-hair. Elise Anker has two first nodes. She doesn't know why and the only one that could answer is an angry voice in her head. She hears it rarely and the voice is as helpful as a sword is effective against a Leviathan. She strives to become a mage, a knight or maybe something else entirely. The future is uncertain and unless she finds out what her nodes mean, she will never know what she wants to become. But her nodes won't unlock and the angry voice tells her that she needs to find a worthy foe to kill. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction.
