《Jacob WillBreaker》Chapter 13 Making killing fun again

This rat was the same size as the spear tail and had some kind of noise attack which I am sure would have sucked if I couldn't just lower my level of hearing and send fluffy into its face. I am about to inspect the body and try to replicate its sound attack when a group of the third type of rat surrounds me. These rats come up to my shoulder and have long black hair. Turns out the ‘screamer’ was calling for backup as well as attacking with its sound. There are currently five of these long-haired rats staring at me hungrily.
Recognizing the danger I am in, I do half a backflip so that my feet are on the ceiling while my legs are crouched. Launching off of the ceiling I land outside the circle of the new type of rat. Landing with my back to the enemy I spin in place while slashing with fluffy at the closest rat. As fluffy is about to hit the turning rat its long hair moves to intercept and grab fluffy, in my surprise I let go, and fluffy is flung away from me.
[Da fuck?] With my weapon lost I bring out my claws and lunge at the rat but the hair moves to block my claws. The hair feels like strong copper wires as it deflects my claws and wraps around them. Pulling just makes me more tangled as the rest of the rats start to get closer.
The rat that is currently trying to convince me to hug it and never let go moves its head and bites into my left arm going straight through my condensed muscles and hitting the bone. "At least buy me dinner first before you go inside of me you little shit," I growl as I disconnect the nerve endings in my body, and then explode my left arm in a mass of haphazard bone spikes. Exploding said little shits head in the process.
Repairing my arm and absorbing ‘little shit' I learn how their hair works but I do not have time to replicate it. But a useful thing about their hair is that it should share the same large weakness as regular hair. Fire. Coating my left arm in bone as I back away from the approaching ‘long-haired rat’ I retrieve the flame gem from the space ring and put it into my right arms retractable spike as I make it hollow and the tip has a hole into the now hollow interior. Filling the space with the wasted organic material such as fat I extend the spike and when all the rats are only a few feet in front of me I use the flame gem.

Fierce flames ignite the rats setting them on fire, almost instantly before the flame gem explodes taking my right arm along with it as well as burning my face. Well for better or for worse I can't feel the pain with no nerves. I watch as the rats burn to death the long thick hair working against them. Once they are dead or not able to move I absorb the first three rats to heal myself then split the last one with fluffy not counting ‘little shit’ as I already absorbed him.
Now healed and with no enemies around I reattach the nerve ending in my body as I walk over to the ‘screamer rat’ and absorb him. With this done I walk back the way I came to the metal grate and re-enter the smaller sewer tunnels. Now in a safer place, I sit down in a comfortable position [well as comfortable as a person can get when they are sitting in a city's waste disposal]. I begin to mold and modify my body.
First I decide to make the ‘screamer rat’ sound ability to do this I have to make an extra pair of vocal cords slightly under the first with a gland in between them. Then second vocal cord will give me better control over the sound I produce and was fairly simple to make. The gland was more difficult. It needed a type of energy that now that I was aware of it I seemed to have but could not control, yet. After a bit of practice, I could make the energy inside me ripple, like flicking a bowl full of water.
Deciding that meditation in a more suitable place was required to continue with the energy and the gland I decide to try and talk with the two pairs of vocal cords. “Wello thar” [great this may take a while] to practice my speech I began to list all things I will need to buy once I am outside again. While creating a shopping list and repeating it, I began to work on the hair.
The rat's hair and human hair for that matter are made from the same protein as nails, but the rat's hair I have grown and made from a six-sided shape that looks like the honeycomb the priest sometimes had at the church. While the proteins are condensed and grown in a honeycomb shape for strength some parts were made from iron found in the blood increases its strength.
I think evenly distributing the iron around the hair and making it part of the structure would improve its overall strength. I have a plan to make this hair into clothes and rope for me as well as make it into a lattice under my skin. It will be a strong and flexible material that would work as makeshift armor. The only problem is that it would be very flammable as shown with the rats but I could fill the gaps in the honeycomb with a little bit of water but not too much as to lose the flexibility, this should help with the fire problem.

But sadly I don't have enough of the material to make enough hair for these plans. Good news is I know where to get some, I just need to kill more ’hairy rats’ without burning off their hair. To do this I decide to reform fluffy into a thin and smooth, but strong spike, they shouldn't be able to grab onto fluffy if there is nothing to grab onto. With the problem of killing the rats hopefully solved I make my way back through the metal gate and into the big tunnel. To not get ambushed again I decide to bring the rats to me. To do this I sing at the top of my lungs all the things I am going to buy when I sell the corpses of their brothers and sisters. [I am such a nice little shit].
My first ‘fan’ was a spear-tailed rat, which I managed to kill with relative ease even with a new weapon. After a few more spear tailed rats I keep walking until a group of five ‘hairy rats’ and one ‘scream rat’ [I guess they do hunt in packs] “ hey look my first group of fans girls. Care to follow me backstage?”[Where am I getting these terms from? what the fuck is protein and backstage?] Running away I go back to the corpses of the ‘spear tail rats’, which I made into, a makeshift barricade so I wouldn't get overrun by numbers.
Once I reach my barricade I stand in between the two small walls of bones with spears protruding out of them and set up my choke point. It does not take long for the first rat to reach me and I stab it with fluffy in ‘smooth spike mode’, It sunk into the mass of hair and then into its flesh [It works] the hairs can't grab onto fluffs smooth body. With fluffy inside the rat, I can take moderate control over the part of its body. With this control I make the blood flow stop in that area with a massive blood clot. With its pulse decreasing the rat starts to slow down as I continue to stab it and make more blood clots. The rat dies so I make its body into a giant bone spike that launches at the ‘screaming rat not wanting to call reinforcements. Being impaled the ‘screaming rat’ loses its namesake while another rat takes its dead comrades place.
This pattern repeats itself until all the rats are dead. [Next time I come down here I should fight them head-on for practice] I absorb all the dead rats, splitting half with fluffy but keeping the hair. I decide to walk back to the surface to sell my rat-tails so I have more room in my bag and better equipment, and I was running low on water.
Walking back to the metal gate I make my hair clothes by braiding the hair together into a T-shirt a long sleeve shirt, a jacket with a hood, trousers and undergarments, I decide to make them all black apart from the trousers which I make a dark brown, as it was the color beforehand and was easier as well as it is a basic camouflage in the night (Don't lie we all know you are an emo). With my new clothes, I make the hair lattice under my skin in hopes that it will stop slashing attaches.
On the other side of the metal gate, I kill another 10 rats. I take their tails and eat their body’s. My bag is now full of rats tails and I am looking forward to getting my money so I can hunt and kill bigger things.
On the way back to the outside world I hear footsteps approaching returning fluffy back to its main form (meat cleaver) I absorb it but am ready to take it out at a moments notice. As I reach the ladder going up I look behind me and see a boy the same age I appear to be (12) he had the typical look of a person living in the lower sector, dirty face with brown hair and eyes. But what caught my attention the most was the knife pointed at me. “Give me all your tails or I will cut you into ribbons,” he says in what I think is meant to be a threatening manner. Cocking my head to the side I look at him as if to say ‘are you a fucking idiot’ Which I think if the dead rats could still think, would agree with me on this one.
