¨Useless¨

In a dark room, a little girl stands.

She plays, trains study and ages.

As she grows, one thing stays the same.

Those voices all-around around her, every year, every day, calling her useless.

¨Gasp!¨

I wake up with a jump, gasping for air.

¨Huff-huff...¨

Useless.

It's the single word that my family tells me regularly and the only word my dad spoke to me in a few years. I've tried everything but I never managed to make myself useful, so I decided to become a hunter. That way, as long as I hunt a lot I will be useful.

I look around me. I'm in my room. I remember the intense session I had with Natasha last night and I deduced she must have carried me here after I fainted. I looked down at my sheet.

¨Sheesh, they are full of sperm¨

I guess I was full of it and it leaked while I slept. I got up and remove the sheet from my bed and put them in the laundry basket. I glance at my clock, it was 8h12. I got into the corridor and started looking for Natasha.

I found her in one of the empty rooms sleeping messily on the bed. Suddenly, my phone rang, it was my father. I quickly exit the room and answered

I wanted to say some more but he hung up.

I thought that my relationship with Ren didn't mean anything to him but it make me useful? Then I shouldn't terminate it! I just need to pretend to be hypnotized and I'll be useful! But what do I say to Natasha?

Natasha's POV

I woke up to a phone ringing. I looked around and was about to get up when I overheard Julia's conversation. It seems her father wants to meet Ren, and I can't decide if it is a good or a bad thing. After thinking a bit about it, I got up and exited the chamber. Julia wasn't behind the door anymore.

I found Julia pacing nervously around the living room and called to her

¨AH! Natasha, you're already up, good good¨

The gate opens and I walk inside. Then turn around and grab Julia who was trying to slip away.

¨Dont run away. Don't worry I'll explain what happens, you just need to apologize to Claire when the time come¨

She reluctantly followed behind me

As we approached the door, it opened and Claire got out to greet me

¨Natasha! you're here! And... Julia? Why is she here? Oh no, don't tell me she didn't release you and now she wants to use you to attack us?¨

¨Wow, calm down sunshine, I'm free you don't have to worry. She's here to apologize and I've got a few things to explain. But first, congratulation on your awakening!¨

She look at Julia and said

We got inside and sat in the living room. Julia and I were on a different couch and Claire was on my lap.

I grab her face and french kiss her. I look over and see Julia half-covering her face with a heavy blush

¨That's great, since you have a healing skill can you heal my leg?¨

¨Hum? what do you mean? your leg is hurt?¨

¨I see. Wait... WHAT? Your leg is broken and you've been walking around like it's nothing? Are you crazy!!¨

¨Well it does hurt but it's healed enough that all it does is slow down the healing process.¨

She hops down off my lap and crouches down in front of my leg. After a little searching, she exclaimed

¨It's purple!! Your whole leg is purple!! And swelled!! There is NO WAY your leg would've healed naturally!¨

¨Oh, ok. so can you heal it?¨

¨Maybe? Even if its an epic healing skill it's still level one, but if it doesn't work I'll call a healer ¨

After a few moments of concentration, Claire's hand glowed green and she touched my leg. After 10 seconds it stopped. The swelling had reduced by half but the color hadn't changed

¨I can heal it but I don't have enough mana to do it in one try. I'll give you crutches so don't put weight on it until I've healed it enough, Understood?¨

¨Yes ma'am¨
