Tet was confused but quickly came to his senses as he saw the dead bodies of his comrades laying across the field, every single of them was killed with a single strike on their head, since it was done with a dagger it must have been penetrated through their skull and ended their life immediately.

At least they died painlessly, Tet told himself and let out a sigh as his attention went back toward Kai.

‘’Oi, what the heck are you?’’

Tet asked calmly.

Kai didn’t reply, it wasn’t because of he didn’t see Tet as a threat, not that he was petrified by Tet’s presence either, no, he was trying to analyze the opponent right in front of him…

No heavy armor, no helmet only a leather pants and chest guard but his scales will be hard to piece through.

Tet shouted then quickly pulled out his bow and used ‘’multishot’’ the shots were weak but It was enough to keep Kai busy dodging, even though Tet couldn’t see his opponent he could feel him moving around thanks to the high grass forcing Kai to disable his stealth as he realized that it’s slowly eating away his mana.

‘’Finally, out of that hole of yours huh? Fight me like a man instead of running! Where is that Lionel’s pride that I heard so much about!?’’

Tet taunted with a grin on his face, but what he didn’t expected was multiple fire lancers to appear on Kai’s side which are ready to launch at any moment.

A Taboo kid with magic?! Mid-tier of top of that…This explains everything, Tet told himself as he was trying his best to dodge the fire lancers.

Lowest tier magic, this can be used by most commoners with the unrefined mana in their body to do every days’ chores such as light up a candle or making hot water, normally lowest tier magic is ranged from lvl 1-2 at most.

Low tier magic, this can be used by those who has talents with magic, their mana is more refined and can start to form their mana to create things such as fire, water, earth etc. people ranged this from lvl 2-4 or even 5 in some very rare cases.

People that are able to use mid-tier magics are rare to find, that is why it’s easy to gain fame and status once you have became a mid-tier magician, your spells will become much more powerful than the previous tier, people tend to call mid-tier the pre awakening stage since those that are able to use high tier or even above that can only be describe as monsters, mid-tier spells are ranged from lvl 4-7, for a taboo child, a half Lionel on top of that to be using mid-tier magic, this is not making any sense at all…

This kid is not simple… B rank? no he can even beat most of the A ranks with his magic alone, I can’t afford to fight him at long range…

Tet told himself as he put away his bow and pulled out his lance to cut through the fire lance in half with an incredible amount of speed.

Noticing this Kai keep his fire lances coming even faster than before, but every time that he fired a lance, Tet made sure to cut through every single of them in half effortlessly.

I need to find another way to damage him or find an opening…

Tet taunted as he was cutting through another fire lancer, what he didn’t expected was Kai’s face suddenly appeared in front of him, surprised he put up his arms to guard his stomach and eyes then immediately shouted out.

The sounds something sharp hitting against a hard piece of metal can now be heard, it started slow but then the speed increased as every second went by, after several second Tet decided to use Tail whip, trying to shatter the ground beneath him to find an opening but the sounds didn’t stopped, it only continues.

I am going to run out of energy very soon if this continues… What is he trying to do? Trying to make me exhaust? Is he that confident in his mana pool?... I should focus… Listen to the sound, finding its rhythm only by then I can find an opening…

Tet told himself as he broke out of his shell, used quick thrust toward the direction that he predicted where Kai will be at.

Kai was surprised, the tip of the spear was only a few centimeters away from his very own eye, immediately he used Divine step recklessly to push himself away, if it wasn’t for his Perception skill, he would be dead by now.

Seeing an opportunity Tet immediately launched toward Kai, leaving behind a huge shockwave caused by his tail smash.

‘’Looks like the tide has turned!!’’

Tet shouted confidently while using multiple Quick thrust toward his opponent, every single thrust was as quick as a bolt of lightning, Kai could avoid most of them but in the end, he was forced to get away quickly as some of them were managed to cut through his flesh, but every time that he tried to get away Tet was able to catch up right away with his tail whip.

But it does not seem like that Kai was panicking, he was calm and showed no emotions on his face he wasn’t even looking at Tet, no, not at him but at his status window.

Kai is waiting for Tet to run out of energy to create an opening and strike the final blow.

Knowing that something is off Tet backed off immediately trying to recover his energy before charging in again but of course Kai didn’t let him rest, in less than a blink of an eye, Kai was right in front him this time he didn’t had his dagger on his hand instead he was murmuring something.

‘’Air claws…’’

What is he trying to do!?

Tet already had his hands up again, trying to protect his most vital parts, but it wasn’t the clank sound that came this time, instead he was immediately pushed off and slammed onto the ground leaving behind an enormous shockwave that shattered the ground in their surroundings.

Tet coughed up blood as his internal organs and bones got damaged terribly, his head was dizzy, he could barely move a finger, after a few second went by, he finally passed out, thinking this is it for me as he saw Kai’s emotionless face before closing his eyes.

Phew…

This one was tough, he almost had me back then, I was lucky this time…While he had no information about me, I can read his status like an open book, that was how I was able to win…

*Sigh*

Let’s just be glad that I wasn’t force to use Limit break, while it greatly increases all of my stats, it also put way too much stress on this small body of mine, which lead to several broken bones and internal injuries after the last time, in fact the reason why I am still here is all thanks to mother…
