When she said that they lives in a forest nearby, I didn’t expect them to live right under the mountain where I came from…

Unlike ours village’s tents the black panther uses leaves, branches and clay to build their houses.

This place looks pretty old, they must have lived here for generations.

We are now standing in the middle of the village looking for my mother’s best friend.

But something is bothering me… there were fresh scratches from big to small all over the gate.. monster must have been here recently…

“Eliz!! You came~!” (Unknown female voice)

A cheerful voice called out for my mother.

“Anna!!?!” (Eliz)

She replies with a surprised yet angry voice

“Eh???” (Anna)

Anna just stood there dumbfounded and wonder what she has done wrong.

“What are you doing out here with that kind of cloth?!? What if the baby catch cold?! Get inside now!!” (Eliz)

Can a child even get cold inside of its mother’s stomach!?!

“B-but”(Anna)

“No buts!”(Eliz)

Slowly but surely she drag Anna in the house…

“Kai-chan~ Wait for mommy outside nee~,it won’t take too long I promise!” (Eliz)

Who is this?...

A tall man with head similar to a panther and body covered with black fur began to walk toward me.

“O! Who do we have here? You must be Eliz and Val’s child, Hmm….Kai was it? Keke,It must be tough huh?.” (Dasti)

Honestly it is, they are way too overprotective!

He scratched his head while being dumbfounded by what I just said as if he didn’t get it.

The carefree Dasti put on a serious face as he finished the line.

As Kai start talking to himself, Dasti began to look at him with a raised eyebrow.

“...The king... of the mountain..AH!” (Kai)

Crap not again...

“YOU KNOW ABOUT HIM!?!” (Dasti)

Dasti shouted it out loud, but then covered his mouth with his hands since he drew everyone’s attention.

“A...uhm! a bit…I heard it from my father.” (Kai)

Once again Dasti’s face became serious as he heard the name “King of the mountain”.

“As you said… It must be the King of the mountain, it has been acting weird lately, that is why I have sent a group of 4 to see what he is up to… 4 days have passed but they have yet to return...” (Dasti)

This has become more of a serious matter…

If I remember right then the bear was corrupted by something… should I warn him?… no…

Who would believe in a 2 years old? I guess I will wait and see how things turn out… it was only lvl 33 last time I saw it...not to mention most of the people here are level 20-40 it shouldn’t be a problem for them.

Behind the 3 of them, the shade of an enormous bear looking like creature can be seen.

The bear is about 15 feet high on all 4 with 3 red glowing eyes and horn on each side which are made out of some short of black steel.

While letting out a loud roar 2 of its dagger like teeths can be seen.

“What do we do!?! At this rate we all are going to die!” (Paros)

“Tch! Paros and Kares, you guys go ahead and leave this place as soon as possible, I will hold him back!” (Lars)

“No! We are brothers I will never leave you behind...if we die, then we die together!” (Kares)

“Me too I won’t accept this!”(Paros)

“Shut up both of you! I need you guys to report this matter to our leader, got it!?” (Lars)

Paros and Kares already know that all of them are going to die if this continues.

When it come to stamina and endurance the bear surpassed all of them together, that is why no matter what, one of them have to sacrifice himself for the rest to get out of this situation.

“Worry not… I won’t die easily!”(Lars)

“M-may Karak be with you…. brother…” (Kares)

(Karak = the god the worship)

“Umu…you guys better get out of here alive!” (Lars)

Lars gave them a smirk then went ahead to face the monster all by himself.

As Paros turned his head to see Lars for the last time Kares stopped him from doing so.

“Don’t look back!.... right now we must fulfill our mission! The whole tribe’s future is on our shoulder!” (Kares)

Even though Kares said that, tears won’t stop coming out of his eyes.

“U-uhm…” (Paros)

Paros nodded carefully as his tears began to flow.

It was 2 days ago, after entering the mountain the group found the creature, the size of it surprised the group but the most disturbing thing is that, the bear kills everything in it’s path no matter big or small...

Knowing it will eventually go down to the their base, the group made a plan to eliminate the monster before it’s too late.. the ambush plan was perfect or so they thought.

After one of them got killed immediately, they knew that they don't stand a single chance against the monster, fleeing is the only option that they have left...

“ROOOAARRRRRR!”

“KEEP GOING!” (Kares)

“I know that already!!” (Paros)

It has been 3 hours already, and there is no sign of Lars coming back… right now his comrade is sitting under a tree to rest, after all it has been a rough day for them and the sun is about to go down.

“Lars-san…. I am sorry…*sobs*” (Paros)

“Oi...Paros that is enough he won’t be happy to see you like this…” (Kares)

“What do you expect me to do!? At least let me mourn for him… *sobs*” (Paros)

The corrupted horned bear appeared out of nowhere and swallow the rabbit in one go.

Something behind Paros send him off flying...or at least a part of him.

Didn’t realized what happened to his body, Paros is now trying to move but no matter how hard he try, he couldn’t even lift finger.

As his head turned around and about to drop on the ground he could see the rest of his body standing up without its head...

The head of Paros landed on the ground and rolled to Kares’ right foot.

“D-DAMNN YOUUUU!!!!” (Kares)

After watching his junior being killed, Kares can no longer keep his calm… without hesitation he rushed toward the monster, Betting everything he has left on his emotions.

But the bear paid no attention to Kares’ rage, as it began to look down at him, as if he is just some kind of insect in its view.

*SWOSH*

Air claws was used by the bear but luckily Kares dodged the most of it…

“Huh?… AGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!” (Kares)

Before he even notices the pain, his left leg reveals itself right in front of him as he lost his balance and felt. It wasn’t too long before fear starting to take over him.

“G-GET AWAY FROM ME Y-YOU MONS-!!” (Kares)

Yet again without giving any attention to Kares' words the bear bite off his head and eventually crushes it slowly with its enormous jaw.

Chapter 6 end…
