Chapter 8 – Retribution from the Sky
A fierce tension filled the air. A sense of blood lust was exploding from within the villagers who witnessed that savage youth turn Merry into ice and shatter her body into a million pieces. Not even a single piece of her body remained, it was nothing but dust!
Although Merry was at the seventh stage, old age had greatly affected her meridians and profound veins. She no longer had the strength to contend with this violent youth who seemed to have the strength of the fourth stage, possibly the fifth. Plus he had an Earthly weapon, this allowed him to compete with those a few stages higher!
The fairy princess whom was looking out from the window had witnessed the frightening scene. Those delicate eyes of hers were twinkling under the moonlit sky, as her fresh tears slowly began to pour down onto her crimson cheeks. “Merry... No! It's all over...”. Uriels tears solidified on her face as the Qi of the fourth stage of the Nursery layer exploded out from her body.
Moon grabbed hold of her shoulders which were as soft as silk, pushing her light body to the floor. “No you can't fight back! There's nothing you can do now, she's dead, and it's all my fault. I'm so sorry my princess, I'll take responsibility for what I've done. It's not your fault..”
The delicate silver haired beauty curled up into a ball on the floor, tears kept pouring out of her like a pearly waterfall. She looked up at Moon who was standing over her, his face covered in guilt. “M-Moon, you can't.. If you go out there then you'll suffer an even worse fate than Merry. They'll torture you and even more!”. Uriel pulled out a small blade from her backpack, holding it up in the air. It's patterns were intricate and the markings on it seemed to be masterfully crafted.
Moon thought that this weapon was something extremely strong and she was offering it to him to fight the mob with, but what his fairy princess said next made his heart shudder.
“We can end it quickly.. If they catch you then the pain you'll experience will be horrific. We can use this knife and end it ourselves in an instant.” Her eyes had turned a pale white, the look on her face was as if she had lost all reason and her sanity had dropped. The current fairy princess had become a frail shell of her old self, her usual energy and stubborn attitude had vanished due to their current miserable situation. She would rather die than lose her younger brother. After all, he is the only person she has left in this world she cares for!

Moon grabbed the blade from her, throwing it to the floor as it pierced into the ground. “Uriel, have you gone mad?! This isn't your problem, it's mine. I'll hand myself in and everything will be over, this has nothing to with you, understand?! I don't care if I have to receive torture, I'd rather experience the worst suffering in the world than see you die in front of me!”. Tears also dripped from Moon's eyes, his face filled with thousands of mixed emotions. As one of the tears fell onto the scar on the left side of his face, it glowed slightly, but only for a second.
Uriel clasped onto Moons hand, pulling herself up as she embraced him. The fairy's delicate hands grabbed onto Moons shoulders as she moved her face directly in front of his. Her peerless looks which would make empires fall made Moon completely forget about the hundreds of villagers outside that were out for his blood, the only thing that remained in this world was that beautiful fairy.
“Does this mean you're finally willing to become my wife?”, Moon joked whilst wiping a tear from his face. The beautiful fairy looked him in the eyes, her face had a complex look full of emotions.
“Moon, you're a fool!”
Before she could say anymore, his arms were around her. She yet again felt the same helplessness from before, the surging tide of warmth that made her body go limp. The handsome face of Moon was soon blurred and drowned to nothingness. His hand placed on her delicate silver hair, he kissed her, slowly at first, and then the intensity gradually increased as Uriels resistance faltered. He had finally willed his fairy princess into a kiss, and a fierce one at that.
His mouth, so insistent that it wouldn't dare leave hers, sent wild tremors along her body which made her feel feint. “Was this how a kiss felt?”, she thought. Never would she have expected it to be this intense.
“S-Stop, I can't.. I'm getting dizzy”, she whispered, trying to turn her head away from his, but it was all useless.
He pressed her head back hard against his face, his tongue entering her mouth as she dizzily glimpsed at his face. His eyes were wide and ferocious, her whole being was filled with new emotions she'd never experienced before, and the thought that she may never experience them again terrified her.
Finally his face unchained from hers, they stood together with their arms entwined, watching out the window as the flaming torches blew in the wind. Moon turned to look at her once more. That hair, so fine and silver, and those eyes. Each pupil seemed as if it told a thousand stories. He himself knew that this was their first and final kiss, and he treasured it deep in his soul. It would be something he would take with him to the afterlife, for he would tell stories to the gods of how beautiful his silver haired princess had been.

His arms left her warm embrace, it felt like he had the world in his arms and then he just let it go. It was a terrible feeling to describe, and something which he hoped to never experience again in his next life. Just as his arms left hers, he noticed that there was a small scar, with the exact same shape as his just above her breast. What could this mean? Was it a coincidence? It was too late to figure it out.
“I'm going now.”, he said. As he walked down to the stairs, he kept looking back towards her. That sense of longing, the feeling that he finally had her and he had to let her go was killing him inside.
“I love you Moon.” said the fairy princess, but it was too late. Moon had already left and had reached the front door of the house.
Outside, the large crowd of villagers holding their pitchforks and torches were growing even more violent. Their shouting and screaming was increasing by the second, they wanted to see blood!
“Come out you demon!”
“GIVE ME BACK MY CHILDS FUTURE!”
“Kill him, burn down the house!”.
Moon walked to the front door of the house. A look of regret filled his face, he truly regretted what he did to those four. He understood now that acting without thinking could only lead to misery. One bad choice had gotten Merry killed, and had also ruined his chances of being with his fairy princess!
“So, you've come, little demon”. That same sadistic looking youth from before stood outside muttered. A deep loathing was seen on his face, that lifeless aura he gave out made him seem as if he wouldn't hesitate to butcher an entire family without giving a second thought.
“I'm here. It's me you want, isn't it? It was me who destroyed Rudans cultivation. Take me and leave Uriel alone.”
“It's not that easy, you shit. I'm Beriel, and you crippled my brothers cultivation. I think it's fair that she suffers the same punishment as you, right?”, he let out an arrogant laugh. A twisted look was on his face, almost like he was enjoying the current scene in front of him.
“That girl was harboring a demon, so she must be one too!”. A loud yelling came from a member of the mob, belonging to a seventy year old man with a grey tuft of hair on his head. It was Gin, and in his hand was a flaming torch.
“Since she's a demon too she'll obviously have to die with you! May the heavens have mercy on her in her next life!”. The old fool Gin tossed that torch in his hand towards the house, landing on the roof and instantly setting it ablaze.
“No! Uriel!”, he looked up towards the window where she was currently standing, looking down at him with a heartfelt look as if she was ready to die with him. “You bastard!” he yelled towards Gin.
Just as Moon bursted out his strength of the third stage of the Nursery layer, that lifeless looking Beriel activated his strength. The fifth stage, he was actually at the fifth stage! He thrusted the spear down into Moons leg, he simply didn't have enough time to react as it pierced half way in and struck directly against his bone, almost snapping it. “AAAA~~!”, he fell to the floor, unable to get up as he watched the flames increasing by the second.
Uriel only stood there and watched as the flames entered her room, her bed cover which had those beautifully majestic foreign patterns was engulfed in roaring flames. Her book shelf which had tales of incredibly powerful cultivators, stories of forbidden romance between princesses and knights, all gone in seconds.
She looked down once more at Moon, when suddenly that scar above her breast began to glow. It's shape was the same as his and even the same size, yet she felt like she'd never noticed it before. When did this get here? I had this scar all along?
Then all of a sudden, a divine white light that contained such intense pressure shot down from the heavens.
The clouds above began to open, and if one looked closely they would see a hand in the clouds that was almost a thousand miles long and a hundred miles wide reaching down. It's light was so bright that if one looked at it their eyes would be temporarily blinded, yet Uriel seemed to be totally unaffected. This was because this divine light from the heavens was focused on her! That immense hand that was shooting down from the sky was now meters away from the house, it swept away the rooftop and clasped Uriel in it's hand with a delicate grab.
Uriels face was staring with great longing towards Moon, “Moon, help me!”.

When Plush comes to Shove
An: So the last synopsis wasn’t really all that good, it was just some mumbo jumbo with no actual point to it so I decided to make a new one that’s a bit more accurate. Leo Lush, just your average everyday (slightly chubby) schmuck, or at least he would be if he didn’t carry around a stuffed toy everywhere he went.I mean, he was a man who could read the atmosphere a bit so put it away in his bag whenever having a stuffed toy out would be rude but other than that he brought it with him all the time, it was a memento from his girlfriend who had died three years ago and keeping it close made him feel better. That’s also why his classmates gave him the nickname “Plush”, though that's neither here nor there. One day at the train station he’d lost his dearest stuffed toy, one of his classmates found it and lobbed it towards him, something that they’d already done many times before, but this time something went wrong and Leo found himself falling in front of the train due to the force of the throw. Now follow Leo as the spirit that developed in his stuffed toy and killed him forces his ghost into another world to possess a different stuffed toy. He doesn’t know much about the world or why he’s there but what he does know is that according to a magic book his girlfriend was also sent to this very world when she died in a plane accident three years ago. An: For those who want to know a bit more about what kind of story this will be: I want it to be a chill feel-good story and stay as far away from those despair-fest stories as possible (No offense to people who enjoy them, I’m just not one of you)Let me make something clear; I’m not writing this story with hope of it becoming really top tier among RRL (Though it did get above rank 500 once which I’m still very proud of even though it’s gone back down to ~850 at the time of writing this) I just want to write a story that I would enjoy reading, that’s why I’ll be mostly skipping over a lot of the parts that I skip when I read other stories, such as stats, the exact value of money and other such precise statistics that no one(as far as I’m aware) really cares about all that much. Just feels like a lot of effort for something superfluous. There’s a single exception and that’s one of the battles, it’s not a despair-fest or anything but it’s got a different feel than the rest of the story due to me being in a funky mood while I was writing it.

Transition and Restart
If you were transported from this world to another almost identical. If you were transported from your life to your teenage self.If you had to restart your life again.Would you, or would you cling to your memories? This is a Japanese manga/anime -style slice of life high school romance with a splash of sci-fi. Ensemble cast, so if you only want one main character this is not for you. It's also a repost of books I already published here. It's cleaned up, and it's published the way I meant it to be read. For those reasons the very concept of a release schedule lacks meaning. Chapters are either miniscule or humungous.

Delicate as Glass
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Nuri, an [Assistant Glassworker], only has a single Skill. It’s really not fair. He’s worked in the hot shop his entire life, following in his father’s footsteps after his parents passed away, but he’s stuck. Despite possessing above-average talent as an artisan, he still hasn’t shed his [Assistant] status, gained a second Skill, or even leveled enough to reach the first Threshold. Besides, he’s bored; most days he daydreams of adventure and becoming a hero, or pines for the renown that’s sure to be his if he evolves his Class into a [Master Glass Smith], but nothing ever changes—until suddenly, fate strikes, and nothing is ever the same again. These days, Nuri sees more magic, prestige, and adventure than he can handle as he gets swept up in realm-shaking conspiracies and desperate fights for his life. Maybe a boring life wasn’t so bad after all. Disclaimers: 1) Names were mostly chosen through random generators and aren’t necessarily final. If they seem derivative or boring, blame RNG. 2) Skills, Classes, levels, and the entire system is currently a work in progress; please be kind if it’s not very well fleshed out yet. 3) This is the first full-length novel I've set out to write without a single plot point ready. I had nothing in mind other than a recent visit to a hot shop. Molten glass is pretty awesome. 4) Related, I know much less about glass than I’d like. I did some research, but mistakes are bound to happen. If you have a correction, thanks! Please be polite about it. 5) The prose is my experimental attempt at first-person, present tense. I realize it may not be everyone’s preference, but I hope you’ll give it a try anyway!
