1 Year Later

Danzo

Danzo stood on an elevated balcony and watched Genin and Chūnin train. Unlike the past were he only had a handful of ninja to train there where hundreds in front of him now.

He thought to himself [if only Sarutobi were here to see my rise, no, if Sarutobi were here none of this would have been possible. He was my greatest friend yet the chain which held my full potential back. I thank Akatsuki for attacking Konoha right after the death of the third Hokage. Although Itachi meant it to be a message to me to keep Sasuke safe it had the opposite effect and that Uchiha rodent left Konoha and ran right into the jaws of that snake Orochimaru. The after effects of the attack have left me with all the power in Konoha. Sure ‘princess’ Tsunade had the position of Hokage but I had the hearts of all the ninja new and old. Life truly is unexpected]

Danzo looked to his left and took notice of the ninja which would no doubt become the backbone of Konoha in the years to come. These shinobi who had recently undergone their rite of passage into the cruel and unforgiving shinobi world were given nicknames by their fellow shinobi. These titles would one day become as famous as Konoha's white fang or the hidden leafs yellow flash.

Team 10 also known as ino-shika-cho consisted of: Ino Yamanaka the body snatcher. Best known for taking over enemies bodies and using them in suicidal attacks against their comrades. Shikamaru Nara the mad genius. Best known for his sadistic schemes and tactics. Currently being mentored to one day take over Anbu. Chōji Akimichi gluttony. His nickname refers to the obscene amounts of food he eats before and after missions. Some say it’s his way of coping after having crushed grown men like insects between his fingers.

Team Guy also known as the breakers because of how broken and enemy which came into contact with them had become consisted of: Rock Lee konoha’s beast the green berserker. Known for his constant drunken rages and unbeatable taijutsu. Over the past year Lee had drank to the point where you could not tell if he was sober or not. Upon achieving his enlightenment he gained access to the 7th gate and could rival Guy in skill. Neji Hyūga the loyal retainer. Neji who was once known as the Hyūga clan’s genius relinquished his title to a stronger junior and swore his loyalty to her. This does not mean his talent has faded as he still qualified to take the Jōnin test next week and will be the first among his peers to do so. Tenten the walking warehouse of horrors. She uses her storage ability called Fūinjutsu to store an assortment of torture tools. She was handpicked by the Konoha Torture and Interrogation Force and trained to be the next leader of their faction. She truly enjoys her enemies’ pain and anguish.

The last team was team 8 also known as the avengers .this was because they threw away their morals and humanity all in the pursuit of power to avenge the gruesome death of their mentor, advisor and mother figure Kurenai Yūhi. This team consisted of: Shino Aburame the infestation or plague. Known for his ingenious use of insects to devastate a population’s food supply and infect innocents with a variety of diseases carried by his insects. Perfect way to wipe out small villages and feign ignorance when the bigger villages get involved. Kiba Inuzuka the heart stealer and the wolf Akamaru known for their bloody fighting style and cannibalism. Kiba is known for being more beast than man and many ninja would not wish for their enemies to die the way many of Kiba's victims do. Hinata Hyūga the fallen princess. The greatest Byakugan user the Hyūga clan has ever seen. After hearing of the death of her mentor something snapped inside her. She killed her rival and younger sister and stole her eyes for herself claiming a man on the moon told her it would grant her strength. To everyone’s surprise she awakened the Tenseigan and became undisputed amongst the Hyūga. She liberated all of the Hyūga clan’s branch family members and declared that only the strong had the right to rule the Hyūga not just bloodlines. This caused Neji to become her loyal retainer. Every Jōnin has stated their belief that she will become the next Hokage.

“Look at konoha’s future” Danzo said while turning to face Fū Yamanaka and Torune Aburame his personal bodyguards.

“It looks beautiful sir” Fū replied respectfully

“Tell me how Sai is doing on his training”

“He has progressed significantly after the death of his brother” Torune replied

“Great now all I have to do is wait for Tsunade to finish training that Sakura girl and I will use Kakashi to convert her to our side! The only Genin I don’t have control over is Naruto” Danzo said frowning while remembering how Jiraiya had refused to allow Danzo to train Naruto.

[When Akatsuki comes again they will be in for a big surprise, my Konoha is powerful! hahahhahahahaha]

Interlude: first mission

The night was cold, not a single sound could be heard in this unnamed forest. The full moon gave the trees shadows that that eerily resembles disfigured humans. With the silence came a heavy tension in the air. With every passing moment it threatened to break. Hiding in one of these shadows was a Genin from a small village found in the fire country whose name would soon be forgotten.

The boy was 14 years old and was just a mission away from earning Chūnin status in his village. He was waiting for something, a noise, movement, a flash of light. Anything that would indicate the location of his opponent. His squad had been ambushed and separated while on their nightly

Patrol of their village. They encountered multiple shinobi but only three stayed behind to match the three on patrol while the others went on ahead.

His heart couldn’t stop pounding as he thought to himself [why. This was supposed to be a simple patrol of our village’s borders. Why would anyone attack us? Didn’t they know we are protected by Konoha? There were so many ninja attacking us, maybe this might be it for our village… no I must hold onto hope Konoha will save us we just need to send for help]

While thinking he felt a breath against the back of his neck and a rough animalistic voice whispered in his ear “you suck at hiding, at least hide your scent”

The Genin jumped back into the light of the moon and looked in the direction of the voice but there was no one there. “Behind you” the voice whispered again. The Genin slashed his concealed kunai while turning but his attack only met air. That was when he started to hear a low grumble turning into a continuous growl coming from the trees above him. When he looked up a vicious dog pounced onto his face and mauled his eyes out. While the boy cried for help a ninja walked to his side with a displeased face. This ninja was Kiba Inuzuka.

“Bad Akamaru, you ruined the fun. Now he can’t watch us kill him. Hmm. well that doesn’t matter anyway this is our first mission under Danzo. We can’t play around like we used to. First Kurenai then we failed the Sasuke retrieval mission. This will be our big win, now what was the main objective Danzo gave us again?” the dog gave a sinister yelp “arfff” “that’s right… eat a human heart and become one with the beast instead of just mimicking it”

The Genin who had lost his eyes listened as the ninja who removed his eyes casually spoke about eating his heart and decided to try one last bluff. “The Konoha shinobi should be on their way to protect us! Run now and you might still make it!” the boy spoke his final words with false bravado and superiority.

“eh… what are you talking about we are Konoha shinobi” before the boy could react Kiba slit his throat with his claws and said “hurry Akamaru for the beast transformation technique to work we have to eat our way to his heart while he’s still alive” by the time Kiba and Akamaru ate their way to the boys heart he had already died “shit we failed… doesn’t matter we have a lot more victims to try this on before the night ends” “arf arf!” Akamaru barked with delight.

In another part of the forest another Genin ran for his life as a swarm of insects closed in on him.

“Why are you doing this!” he dived to the side as a cloud of insect zoomed by him.

“You are playing with me, just let me go” he knew the insects had already surrounded him. There was no way he could escape and surely he was going to die but for some reason the one controlling the insects didn’t go for the kill, he only messed around with him.

“I know who you people are. Insect users belong to the Aburame clan of Konoha our ally! Why are you invading us” the Genin shouted into the swarm of insects that surrounded him.

The insects suddenly stilled and the loud buzzing became a soothing hum. The insects formed the shape of a boy and slowly transformed into Shino. The insect clone of Shino then spoke.

“Konoha was your ally but now we need to test the loyalty and determination of our Jōnin Chūnin and Genin and what better way than killing an innocent village full of lower class ninja.” Shino said this with a monotonous voice.

“Then why haven’t you killed me. It must be because you see this is madness. Help me save my family no one will know what you have done and you can leave this hell with a clear conscious”

“Please do not make assumptions about my character. I haven’t killed you because each and every ninja here has a task to fulfil. Mine just happens to be manipulation. I will now insert a parasite into your bloodstream. You will have enough time to visit your family so that you spread it to them or I can torture you to death right now. Maybe a spider bite here a centipede there and maggots in your eyes and ears. I ‘ll try a whole bunch of combinations until I find the one capable of breaking you so bad that you spread by parasitic insects willingly.”

The Genin could not believe what he was hearing. He chose to keep fighting. “Fire style flame wall technique!” the Genin shouted while weaving the hand signs for the technique his father passed down to him

*flashback*(Genin)

A 32 year old Chūnin shouted ‘flame wall technique’ and a ten foot tall and 8 foot wide wall of flame shot out from in front of him.

“Dad that technique is amazing, how long do you think it will take for me to do it!”

“hahah son you are the hope of our family. You are already about to become a Chūnin at 16 years old! Your talent far surpasses mine. I’m sure you will have mastered this technique in a month. Please carve your path to the top. My flaming hope!”

The man embraced his son and cried tears of hope.

*flashback over*

“Dad this is for you!”…. but nothing happened when he finished weaving the signs.

Shino then spoke “oh I forgot to tell you I started infesting your body ages ago. Your chakra circulation is now under my control” Shino smiled for the first time as he witnessed the Genin cry tears of defeat.

“Now let’s start the torture”

Ten minutes later the Genin way obeying Shino's orders like a servant does with his master and quickly went to infect his family members.

“Finally that took forever! I need to get some hearts before the others kill everyone inside that village” “arf arf” Kiba and Akamaru whined from the tree above Shino.

“Sorry torture is not my expertise; I heard we will be depending on Tenten for such quicker results”

“Here I prefer a hands on approach. If you want something done right do it yourself!” Kiba said while showing off his bloody canines

“Kiba Danzo gave us all roles for efficiency.do you doubt his orders” Shino said in a serious tone

“h-hey stop putting words in my mouth. You know that’s not what I meant.” “Arf”

“Sorry Kiba I did not mean to threaten you. Let us find Hinata”

“Shit! Do we have to? Watching her kill scares me. Remember what she did to Hanabi.”

“Hmm I do. That is why we must look after her; she takes too much time enjoying the kill. It leaves her vulnerable to attack from behind”

“I’ll attack her behind if you know what I mean. hehehe. But no her Tenseigan are crazy powerful who can sneak up on her now?” Kiba said with a sly grin.

“The man who killed Kurenai.” Shino said with a dead voice.

“Let’s go check up on her” all the playfulness had left Kiba’s voice after Shino’s reminder that they were still weak.

After skipping from tree to tree for about 500 metres they could see Hinata in a clearing in the forest. The only word that could describe her was breath-taking. She was twirling around as if in a beautiful dance. She paid no attention to her surroundings as if in a trance. As Kiba and Shino got closer they noticed the third member of the patrol squad was with her. He was a Jōnin and seemed to be quite confident in his abilities. If Kakashi had not instructed them to let Hinata fight the Jōnin alone they would have been the first to help her. Well the first right after her retainer Neji.

The Jōnin was as still as a statue and had veins bulging throughout his skin. Hinata suddenly stopped and turned to face Kiba and Shino. “Oh you guys are done. Now I can finally finish up”

Hinata walked up to the Jōnin and started to kiss his unresponsive mouth while making lewd noises.

“Doesn’t death just arouse you” she said and hit a pressure point on the base of the man’s back. His mini solider suddenly stood full solute. She then proceeded to make love to the statue.

When she finished she pressed another pressure point on the Jōnin's forehead and his body began to disfigure slowly. The man couldn’t scream because he was unable to fully control his muscles but moaned in pain. The noise was filled the silence of the night. Kiba and Shino turned away as the man’s body slowly imploded and disfigured itself until it finally burst into a pool of organs tendons bones and blood.

“See. Just like Hanabi, only difference was this was a man” Kiba said to Shino

“Come on guys don’t look away. He gets to die and leave this hell we call a world while we stay and ‘follow our way of the ninja’ hihihi. Plus it’s not like he felt it when I fucked him, I turned off all his sensory neurons, but I did turn them back on for his death. No one should escape the pain that is life without a little hardship right?”

Kiba and Shino just nodded in agreement and made their way to the village. They all had a mission to complete.
