During the night before the assault against the unique infected Gabriel was working on one of the fundamental parts of his strategy. They had looted from the chemical warehouse after returning to the base and got a pair of foam extinguishers that were perfect for this task. His new tool was a huge shield that in theory will protect its user while containing the abomination while Oscar and Gabriel attack from a safe distance.

The shield was similar to the one that Yeni already had but with several key differences. Four foam extinguishers were placed on the inside so by pressing a lever on the grip you could automatically discharge it. In this way it was really easy to create a barrier of frozen foam to neutralize the fire of that unique infected. The extra weight generated by this was both an advantage and a disadvantage since although it gives it more stability it was quite difficult to carry. The volume that it had also didn't help the task of transporting it but for some reason they had invested in increasing the strength of the woman. The Achilles heel of this piece of equipment was the small window on the front, after all the shield would be useless if its user was unable to aim. Using the glass lid of an oven in the kitchen Gabriel could create a way for her to see through the shield that was relatively heat-resistant. Her left eye had lost its natural color and was now a crimson sphere typical of those infected by Gehenna. In a general inspection it seemed that this infection was only limited to her head since the rest of her small and fragile-looking body had no sign of being desecrated by that abomination. She had a fairly large backpack on her back and several layers of cloth covering her body to protect herself from the cold of winter, below you could see a typical school uniform.
