《Art of Mortality》Chapter 27: Road To Cultivation (II)

Everyone was shocked to see one of the vice-headmasters with their own eyes. They were speechless and were wondering what the vice headmaster was doing here.
"Ok, everyone. This is the surprise I was talking about. Normally, only A-rank students get the privilege to be taught by a vice-headmaster, but this time, for your first lecture, the vice-headmaster will give you a lecture on the 'cultivation world'. This is a great opportunity for you. Now, take your seat and put your attention to what the vice-headmaster says.", the instructor explained.
Everyone was happy and surprised at the same time. They cheered on the occasion, to have their first lecture delivered by a vice-headmaster, how lucky they were! They took their seats, eager to learn from the vice-headmaster's lecture.
"I guess you brats are really excited about this lecture. Well, I can't blame you. After all, it is I, Hayden the vice headmaster, who is giving the lecture. Well, in this lecture, I won't be teaching you any technics or anything like that. Instead, I'll be talking about the cultivation world and cultivation. The reason is simple, I can't teach you many technics in a single lecture, but if I give you a good glimpse of the cultivation world and explain cultivation itself, I can motivate you enough as well as create a good basic path for your future cultivation. First of all, how much do you know about the history of the nine paragons?"
Everyone was staring blankly at the vice headmaster, except Edward.
"Seems like No one knows, huh? Well, it is the history of our nine paragon world itself, but this knowledge is known to very few people. Even I myself did not know much about it. I came to know this history after I went out of the country for an adventure back in the days. The history goes like this...."

He explained the history of the nine paragons. While he was explaining, everyone was shocked and excited at the same time, except Edward. He knew everything. Actually, he knew more than the vice headmaster. Snow definitely had access to more knowledge than anyone in this country.
While listening to the vice headmaster, Robert accidentally looked towards Edward. Seeing his nonchalant expression, he was shocked and confused. " Does he not care? Or does he know everything beforehand? ", he wondered.
From the first time Robert saw Edward in the exams, he felt that something was different about Edward. Even though Edward was not from any noble family, his cultivation and fighting style was more refined than even those from the noble families. It was as if he has a deeper knowledge of cultivation than everyone else. How could someone without any background have such deep knowledge? He always wondered, but this time, he was somewhat sure that Edward already knew about the history of the nine paragons, something that even the vice headmaster did not know before going out in an adventure out of the country. The more he thought about it, the more he found that the boy named Edward was mysterious.
After finishing his lecture on the history of the nine paragons, the vice headmaster talked about cultivation realms, but there was nothing new for Edward.
But soon, the topic came to something that interested even Edward.
"Now, how much do you know about the country? You know a lot, but not enough, I guess", said the instructor.
"The Green Vail Country is neighboured by several other countries like the Moonland Country, Red Desert Country, and so on. All these countries have royal families of their own. The royal families of these countries are led by powerful cultivators of the Aura Formation Realm, the highest realm known to people. In history books and all the known documents, the Aura Formation Realm is the highest known realm. But there are a few in the country who are privy to the knowledge I am going to share with you.", said the vice headmaster.

"When I was out on my journey, I found out that this country, as well as around a hundred other countries, are under the rule of one single empire. It is the Grand Sky Empire. In the Royal Capital of the Grand Sky Empire, you will find cultivators above the Aura Formation Realm."
Everyone was shocked by this news, even Edward. The reason he was shocked was different though. While everyone was shocked by the existence of a cultivation realm beyond the Aura Formation realm, Edward already knew about the realms beyond Aura Formation. What shocked him was the existence of the Grand Sky Empire. If he is not wrong, he might find clues about Snow's whereabouts after reaching the Grand Sky Empire.
"Well.", the vice headmaster started to speak again. " The Grand Sky Empire is One of the four great empires that rule this continent, along with the Great Earth Empire, Blue Ocean Empire, and the Burning Sun Empire. these four mighty empires rule the continent, with powers above the Aura Formation Realm."
Everyone was speechless, while some were excited. Specially Robert was the most excited one. He was so excited because it was like his dream coming true.
"Now, listen. The reason I am saying this is because I see potential in your group. The freshmen this year are the best we have got in the history of our academy, especially some of you are even beyond our imaginations.", saying that, the vice headmaster looked at Edward and Robert.
"If you get a good result in the Four Great Academy Tournament, you will be scouted by the Royal Academy. There, if you are lucky, you might get noticed by the royal family, and through them, you can get a chance to learn martial arts in the Grand Sky Empire. So, that should be your goal. Do you understand?"
"Yes sir!", everyone shouted in excitement.
"Now train hard, and don't disappoint me. That will be all for today. ", saying that, the vice headmaster left in a flash.
Everyone was still digesting what the vice headmaster said. They were focusing their mind, processing the information, and sharpening their dedication.
At this moment, Edward slowly left the room. He started walking towards the library room.
Robert was looking at Edwards back while Edward was leaving. It seems Robert was pondering something in his mind.
According to the instructor, everyone will be able to receive cultivation technics and martial skills after finishing their first lecture. Edward did not waste his time as he started running towards the library. He had learned all the basics from Snow, and his cultivation realm has also progressed quite decently. What he lacked the most now is cultivation technics and martial skills, which Snow couldn't give him due to various reasons.
"I should cultivate and progress fast. For now, the Grand Sky Empire is the goal. There I will most likely find my answers.", he thought.
