《The Farmer》Chapter 37

“There’s hundreds of them!” an adventurer cried.
The adventurers are completely outnumbered. But it was mysterious to them that they weren’t being attacked. Instead, those “monsters” were running to the opposite side of the village away from the eastern entrance.
The discreet travel through the town becomes a hunt. Even the adventurer’s whose purpose is to exterminate the creatures took no thought of their environment.
Houses are burned from the vials thrown by alchemist. The roads are destroyed from the blue wave that comes from their swords. And dozens of bodies lie scattered across the village. But the fight is not coming close to an end.
The leader immediately went to the eastern entrance and rampaged through the village heading to the western gate. Adventurers are knocked back which gave some of them time to escape. But there are still many of them who still has to cross
With a loud roar he swings his club at an adventurer blowing him to a nearby house.
“It’s a High-leveled Ogre!”
“We can do this it’s already at half health.”
Some of the adventurers are running away while others make their stand. Throwing countless bombs and raining arrows on him which he deflected by doing a backhand swing. Causing a force strong enough to blow those projectiles away from him.
Finally, the remaining small creatures have fled the village, leaving their wounded leader to defend their rear. Some of the adventurers have perished in the fight and the remaining ones dare not get closer to the ogre. Seeing their sorry state, he left and went westward with the horde.
Another day their strength is spent but they are able to reach the western part of the continent, overlooking the peninsula.
A small glint can be seen on their faces as they gaze on Rover’s End. A feeling of uncertainty then follows. Their goal is within arm’s reach but when they saw the small fishing village close to the border that separates the peninsula from the mainland, they felt disheartened.

The fishing village would have pose no threat to them in the past, but in their state anything could end them.
They waited till night time before proceeding. But their numbers are impossible to hide and they could not shake the feeling that are going to be attacked before they pass through.
It wasn’t as they expected. There were no adventurers by that village. Feeling glad that they have finally step foot on the peninsula they were met by a pair of adventurers. One wielding a bow and another wielding a sword.
Without any hesitation upon seeing them they brandish their weapons and pointed it at them.
The leader roars as the smaller ones disperse to the trees to get an angle on them. But for every arrow released and for every swing of the sword, one of them dies.
Until finally, the fight is over. Both adventurers have dispersed into thin air. The ogre with a few remaining by his side, lies on the ground, breathing heavily. Wounded and tired. Before collapsing to the ground, he was able to hear a piercing howl.
The next thing he woke up to is that he is under a tree right next to a house. His wound is covered in salve and bandages throughout his body. A grumbling sound emerges from his stomach as he tries to get himself up.
“You’re finally awake.” The gentle voice said.
A familiar figure stands across him carrying a basket full of fruits. He tries to make a sound in response but his strength has not yet recovered.
“Don’t push yourself. You’re safe here as promised. The others as well, they’re resting by the barn”
He looks around the place and saw a beautiful field, rich with crops. As well as somethings that he have never seen before, a creature made of stones and crystals walking around the field and cultivating the crops.

“Eat, you must be famished.” The silhouette said to him.
Finally, his eyes adjusted and saw the face of the familiar figure. It was Jack. The one he met and offered sanctuary a few weeks ago. Tears builds up in his eyes as he gazes at him.
“I have heard of your journey. I’m sorry for your losses.”
The ogre gobbles the food up and handing the empty basket over to Jack, asking for more.
“Not right now, I can’t dispense sustenance on a whim. My master needs to be informed first but he is pre occupied at the moment.” Jack replies, taking the basket of his hands.
The ogre then stood up, still covered in bandages and stretches. Walking around the tree and observing their surroundings.
“If you’re up for it, I could give you a tour of the place.”
They walk closer to the house where Bob stays and shows him the exterior.
“This is our master’s domain. Since you’re three times larger than he is we can’t let you in or you would destroy his hard work.” Jack said while giving the ogre a few pat on his arms since he can’t reach his shoulders.
“Inside, we have Bundy. He handles all the food that the master eats.”
Bailey glances at them at gives a little wave before returning to whatever he’s doing.
“Over there on the field is Bailey, responsible for all the crops and watching over the animals.” He points at the field.
“Some of them are not here at the moment but we have Emi, Zuli and Obi responsible for mining as well as Noga and Gaon that transports the materials.” Jack said while smiling and glancing at the ogre.
As though he saw some apparition, the ogre froze. Clenching his fist as he saw from a distance, a figure wielding a bow. He couldn’t move as he hasn’t fully recovered.
The figure draws closer until finally it is just a few steps away from him. Cold sweat ran through his body as he prepares his mind for a fight. But all those thoughts stop when Jack bows before the human.
“My liege” Jack said with reverence.
“I see you have recovered. There are many things that I would like to ask you.” Bob says as he looks over the creature standing in front of him.

Protagonist: The Whims of Gods
Book one now also on Amazon! After quitting her job as a therapist and grabbing some work at a dog shelter, Tess's life became pretty slow. A tad boring, even. It thus came as no small surprise when she was chosen by a god. Thrust into a new world where magic, monsters, and character levels are suddenly a reality, Tess will quickly find that just surviving can be a challenge. It doesn't help that dark forces are stirring, she's woefully underpowered, and that spiders keep trying to claw her face off. One thing's for certain, though: The possibilities are endless. Will she end up wrestling a dragon? Becoming an arch-mage? Opening a quaint, bookstore, coffee shop, and wine bar for elves? The choice is hers... As long as she can live long enough to make it. Protagonist is a fairly classic LitRPG novel with character levels, classes, stats, settlements, and other LitRPG elements. Unlike a lot of LitRPG stories, while the protagonist has some perks, she doesn't start off overpowered. You can expect to see her struggle as she advances. This novel also takes the opportunity to explore some less frequently seen builds, shying away from any min-maxing. Chapters are about ~2000-3000 words and are released at 8:00am ET every other day.

#Call Cthulhu
An eldritch comedy. After Cthulhu is summoned into the world, the whole place goes to shit. Things really got out of hand after Cthulhu got nuked. Alex and Julius, a pair of brothers, try their best to make it in a North America reshaped by an eldritch apocalypse. “Stop right there Philip!” Julius interrupted, the vein on his temple starting to throb. “I do not want to hear another simile about what magic is. I have had magic explained to me by three cult leaders, a wizard, and a cannibal. I've heard that magic is like a rainbow, all its parts blending together. The human unconsciousness, powerful and unknowable. A body, you don't want to eat the heart straight away. I am sick and tired of people telling me what magic is. I know damn well what it is.” He drew a breath, interrupting his rant. “Magic is a bad joke. A whole lot of setup, for some nonsense punchline. This whole god-damned apocalypse is an eldritch comedy.”
