10 months later

LIFE AS A BABY IS FUCKING AWESOME!

Kari was repeating these words in his mind every single day. For 10 months, he was an adult that had the body of a little baby and he was enjoying his life to the fullest.

It is literally only sleep,eat,shit,piss and repeat. Mom is had awesome breastmilk and now she is making delicious food for me! WHO THE FUCK COULD'VE THOUGHT THAT LIFE AS A BABY WAS SO FUN?

He loved his new family. After everything that happened to him in previous life, he somehow managed to accept his new family and live another life as second child of Kanraver family.

Elza, his older sister, was spending most of her time training in swordsmanship. She would go out into the yard and then Kari would hear shouting and grunting, with occasional "Hiyaa". He would sometimes crawl from the living room to the exit that lead to the yard and was sitting there, just to watch his big sister's training.

The technique that she was using mostly consisted of dodging, thrusting and piercing, along with some slashing. Kari deduced that her future weapon would most likely be a rapier.

Everytime Elza saw her little brother sitting and watching her, she would blush a little and then continue with her training. One time when Kari was laughing mentally, he somehow chuckled loudly, thus making Elza blush even more.

His mother was the best woman in the entire world for him.

Their name sounded almost the same. Her name was Kara, whereas his name was Kari. Both had black hair and black eyes. But her mother's hair was straight and Kari's hair was messy. Apparently, his father's genes still managed to butt in.

Everyday Kara would tell her son about her past. Her son was always listening as if he could understand her words and remember everything that she said. Her son never stopped listening to her by crawling somewhere else. He would always remain in the same place, waiting for his mother to finish her story, as if her son didn't want to upset her. She would always scream "So cute!" and hug his son with all the strength that she had, ignoring everything that she was doing before. This was indicator that story was finished and that Kari was dismissed.

Kari didn't see his father, Aedus, often. He was working as a guard on the outskirts of this village. He would work for 3 days and then he returned for 1 day, after which he would go on his duty again and so on. Out of his family, Kari didn't have full trust only in Aedus, his father.

Kari heard from her mother that Aedus was an Ex-Mercenary of a very well-known "Band Of Black Sheep". But as soon as his parents met each other they fell in love, which resulted in Aedus leaving the band. He was a master swordsman who developed his own technique named "Kikotani", so this band hesitated a little before letting him go, but eventually they agreed. Judging from his mother's words, Band Of Black Sheep consisted of strongest and nicest people in the whole kingdom.

No one knew of Kari's Psychokinetic abilities. He was trying his best to hide it from her family. He thought it would be hard because the Magus named Rorsak would visit them often, but he was wrong. Apparently, The kingdom of Drakar found Newborn Earth Dragon and without the help of Kingdom's Greatest Magus Rorsak, it was an impossible task to do. For past 10 months, Rorsak didn't visit them even once, but he was sending mail via some bird that closely resembled hawk from the earth.

Kari would always try to test his Psychokinesis on the biggest and heaviest objects available without alerting anyone. He was also moving small objects with little mass, reason for this being simply the fact that moving small object, with even smaller mass was sometimes harder than to move a big object that is heavy. He couldn't pull out trees from their roots, but he was 95% sure that his power hasn't dwindled.

He was also using his psychic abilities to control the mana in the air. It was hard at first, but soon Kari realised that mana actually felt like moving Radioactive Particles. Unfortunately, He wasn't able to cast any spells for now. He could manipulate mana around him, but his innate mana was simply for casting even simplest of spells.

I can control mana around me and it feels slightly different than moving physical objects with psychokinesis. Ooh i know! I will call this Manakinesis! The ability to control mana!

Kari was happy with his new discovery and invention, so he did what every other genious little baby would do. He crawled back into his cradle and fell asleep.

This power can sure be useful when I have nothing else to do, eh?

One of the powers that about 5% of kinetics in his previous life had. Improved version of lucid dreaming! User could manipulate his mind to fall asleep in an instant, or wake up in an instant if the danger was approaching. They could also control their dreams, shaping the world in them as one would see fit.

Now let's try this again...

Kari imagined darkness. Complete darkness that was empty. He imagined himself in the complete void. He then started screaming.

SUPER OMNIPOTENT BEING THAT TOLD ME TO BE PARTNERS! COME OUUUUUUUUUT! I HAVE A SHIT TON OF QUESTIONS AND I WANT ANSWERS RIGHT FUCKING NOW!

He was doing this everyday after he was born. He was trying to call this being mentally. He wanted to ask a lot of questions. But for the past month, he was doing this with even less and less enthusiasm and hope. He screamead again a few times, but nothing happened. He gave up and wanted to completely make himself unconcious, but suddenly a excruciating headache made him stop his actions.

He heard a voice that he was waiting for the past 10 months.

[Finally Kari... We can talk now. This one is sorry for making you wait this long. If this one would contact you, your mortal body would be destroyed. Now then... What are your questions?]

Kari was looking at the big silhouette of a gigantic mass that was glowing everytime this being would speak. Kari opened his mouth and said.

[FIRST OF ALL FUCK YOU! SECOND OF ALL FUCK YOU! Now let me ask a question that I had for the last 10 months. What the fuck does being in partnership with you mean? You didn't even introduce yourself. You didn't let me have a say in this reincarnation thingy and I'm pretty sure that you saw me devour all of their shitty, worthless souls. NOW TELL ME, OH GREAT SHITTY BEING, What the fuck do you want from me?]

Everything was silent for few minutes, but then ominous voice that didn't belong to any gender, said.

[Excuse this one for it's rudeness. This one's name in mortal tongue is Void. This one the beginning and end of all creation. This one os everything and nothing. This one is the only omnipotent being that exist inside and outside of the multi-verse. The reason why this one met you and reincarnated you was simple. this one wants you to be It's partner and this one wants you to help it fix any problem of the multi-verse. Unfortunately, this one can not interfere directly into any universe and that is why this one needs your help. To say it in the human tongue, this one will be the brain and you will be the muscles.]

[what kind of contradictory shit are you saying? Let's just forget about anything else. Why did you chose me? I'm more than sure than if there are many other universes, there are definetely more powerful people, monsters or gods than me. So why did you chose me?]

[There is a simple reason for that. You are an anomaly. First anomaly in the entirety of multi-verse discovered by this one. You destroyed the entire planet full of life in just under a few weeks. Your growth capacity was unlike anything this one has ever seen and when you fully unleashed your power, this one understood something. You can be far more powerful than you can even imagine. Tell me Kari. How does kinetic evolution work?]

Kari went silent for a few seconds. He knew that the void knew about kinetic evolution and only wanted Kari to say it. Even though, he didn't like where this was going, but he still complied.

[Kinetic evolution is a term used by scientists to describe phenomenon that increases kinetic's psychic abilities. If a pyrokinetic learns enough about fire and the working mechanism behind it, he/she will be able to control new types of fire. If kinetic with psychic abilities that can control certain metal learns enough about other metals and their structure, he/she will be able to unlock kinetic powers for the metal corresponding metal. And before this goes any further, I will ask of 2 things.]

The darkness shifted a little, but Kari took that as a sign of acceptance. He continued.

[One. If we will talk any other time, STOP USING "THIS ONE" IN EVERY DAMN SENTENCE WHERE YOU REFER TO YOURSELF. IT'S DAMN ANNOYING! Two. I do not want to know what I'm capable of anymore. Don't you dare say it. I swallowed those disgusting souls, but I don't want to know what I gained from it, SO we will never speak about my powers ever again. as for our "partnership" thingy, I suppose that you are the reason for my reincarnation into new life, so I'm gonna say something. I will help you If some "danger" occurs in the universe, BUT only if it endangers me or my family. I'm not gonna start travelling from universe to universe just to kill some bad guy that decided to mess with the world. oooh. And one last thing. If you're going to "contact"me again, please do so without splitting my head open m'kay?]

Darkness shitfed again. Kari understood that it was contemplating about Kari's speech. So he just waited. After few seconds of waiting, Ominous voice was heard again.

[Fine. I will accept your conditions. As you will grow up and develop your body, I will be able to contact you without any problems. I will not speak of the power that you acquired, although you will find about them sooner or later. I will also have more presentable form when speaking with you next time. Goodbye Kari. May we meet again]

Dream suddenly ended. Kari woke up and looked towards the window. It was already late in the evening. Sun was almost completely set. Kari wanted to sleep some more, so he prepared to make himself unconcious again. Kari heard ruckus downstairs. His mother wasn't clumsy, but he regarded it as accident. He once again prepared to sleep.

Suddenly, he heard his mother's scream.
