《MIRACLE CHILD: SLASH THE GODS [DxD UNIVERSE] . (MATURE CONTENT)》CH 31: AZAZEL AND AZRAEL

While Azrael was suffering from repeated humiliation of his own making, In another part of the house, the White Dragon, Vali Lucifer was discussing with a man in an office.
The man was rather tall, appearing to be in his twenties with an average build, black hair, golden bangs, and black goatee. You could say that he was handsome, but more importantly, the weight of years could be easily felt on him.
Vali who was laying down on the sofa and playing with his plush doll asked,
“Hey, Azazel, is that guy really a half-angel?”
Azazel, who was working on some paper, raised his head and looked curiously at Vali, before answering,
“He is indeed one. Why?”
“But, I thought that Angel couldn’t enter a relationship with humans. Isn’t it why most of you guys from Grigori fell?”
Azazel let out an awkward laugh as he scratched the back of his head. Still, this didn’t last long, he had never been ashamed of his choice even after a thousand years of existence, it wouldn’t be now that he would begin.
“You’re not wrong but not exactly right either. It isn’t that Angels can’t enter in a relationship. You must understand, in order to fall, an angel must commit one of the seven deadly sins. The downfall for most fallen angels in Grigori was Lust. To put it simply, an angel can enter into a relationship and not fall as long as he doesn’t feel lust.”
Vali frowned, he was a kid, but he still had some basic understanding of how life was formed,
“How could they have a child if they don’t feel Lust?”
Azazel grinned, he always liked smart kids like Vali, as such, he took his time to answer,
“It’s hard, very hard, basically impossible. See, when they want to make a kid, firstly they must undergo a lengthy purification ritual that generally lasts several hours. They must do this ritual in a specially crafted barrier and they both must not harbor any kind of possessive feelings while doing it.”
He shook his head as he said that,
“The chance of having a kid between people of a different race is also low. That’s why all hybrid angels are called Miracle children. Because their birth is simply a miracle.”

“Then, the angels can’t have a child of their own?”
Azazel let out a bitter smile at this question,
“All angels were the creation of god. We are different from the devils and other mythological races. We are simply unable to feel love for each other. In the first place, we are basically all sisters and brothers. So there’s that. Only God can create pure angels, and the only way for fallen angels to continue existing is to bring more angels into temptation.”
“Eh...By the way, who is his father?”
“Michael. The leader of the angels.”
The moment he heard this, stars immediately began to shine in Vali eyes as he got up from the Sofa.
“He is a hybrid angel, the son of Michael, and I am a hybrid devil, a descendant of Lucifer. Aren’t we like tied by fate? Does that mean that he is another fated enemy of mine, like the Seikiryuutei?”
Azazel had to give his all to not laugh at Vali. That kid was suffering from a serious case of chunnibyou. He finally let out a chuckle as he thought about his secret notebook where he keeps writing lines he planned to say once he meets his destined rival. The wielder of the Longinus [BOOSTED GEAR]. The Longinus hosting the soul of the red heavenly dragon, Ddraig.
[BOOSTED GEAR] and [DIVINE DIVIDING] were Longinus hosting the power of the two strongest dragons below The Great Red and Ophis. They were respectively known as the Red Dragon Emperor of Domination and the White Dragon Emperor of Supremacy. Two beings so powerful that all the leaders of the three factions had to team up in order to beat them. Now their souls resided in the sacred gear system.
*Knock* *Knock*
The knock on the door brought an end to Azazel musing. Vali who was back to laying down got up and sat properly,
“*Ahem* Who is it?”
“Azazel-sama, I am coming with your guest.”
A feminine voice answered from the other side of the door. Azazel, hearing this looked at the time and thought,
‘He woke up way sooner than I thought. His sacred gear should only heal him when in use.’
"You can enter."

The door opened after he answered. Two people opened the door.
The first one was Azrael. This time though, for obvious reasons he wasn't wearing his priest clothes but rather a simple jean and a tee-shirt. It was easy to see that he wasn't at ease wearing such clothes. Even more so since his arms were entirely covered in bandages.
Behind him, was an attractive young woman. It was the woman who greeted Azrael on the door.
"Thank you Jibril. You can go back. The same goes for you too Vali."
“Yes, Azazel-sama.”
“Ok Azazel”
The girl bowed and simply went away, neither looking at Vali nor at Azrael. Azrael didn’t spare a glance to her either, even though she was the one who brought him here.
He had nothing against fallen angels and didn’t mind being seen naked, but the previous scene was simply too embarassing. Vali also followed her out in silence before closing the door. He was currently musing about how epic their first true discussion should be.
After Jibril and Vali left, silence settled in the room as they seized each other.
‘So this is the leader of the fallen angels.’
He was a little disappointed. Not, by his power of course. He could clearly feel that Azazel could crush him like a bug. No, what disappointed him was his appearance.
From how he was described in the scriptures he thought that Azazel was some kind hulking giant wearing an evil grin or something like that. The one in front of him though, was a somewhat handsome man who could pass for the CEO of an enterprise.
Well, his father, the leader of the angels looked like a first-class cabaret host, so he shouldn’t have been surprised. Finally, he sighed and began his greeting,
“Good morning Governor. It’s a pleasure to finally meet you. I am very thankful for your timely help. I shudder to think about what could have happened to me and this city had you not intervened.”
He talked gracefully but a little awkwardly as he expressed his thanks. He wasn't really used to face people of superior grade than him. It might not matter for normal people, but in general, when two or more people meet, the one who spoke first was considered of lower status. Still, he didn’t mind that much.
Azazel smiled before pointing the chair next to the desk,
“Good morning to you too Prince, please take a seat. I hope your wounds are better.”
Azrael didn’t comment and simply sat up. By using his title rather than his name, Azazel was showing him respect. He didn’t need to, but Azrael didn’t mind being respected. Who did?
As he sat down, he continued, "Thank you once again. Now if it doesn’t bother you, could I ask you why was I sent here rather than a church. Also, why help me? Excuse me, but our factions aren’t exactly in good terms."
Azazel let out a wry smile at how blunt this little nephew of his was,
“I guess that if I told you I only helped you because you are my nephew you wouldn't believe me?”
Azrael smiled but didn’t answer. Inwardly though he couldn’t help but snicker . Only a kid would believe that the leader of the fallen angels saved the son of the leader of the pure angels simply for the fun. As for family love? The Pure Angels and Fallen Angels didn't hesitate to kill each other despite being brothers and sisters. He clearly had an ulterior motive.
Azazel could guess what was going through Azrael’s head, and since it was true he didn’t deny it. He began rummaging through his drawer before taking out a scroll,
“Take a look. This should interest you.”
Azrael curiously looked at the scroll, before opening it. At first glance, it seemed to be a contract. When he looked at the parties, he saw that this was a contract linking the Archangel Michael to the Governor Azazel.
‘The leaders of two of the three factions made a contract? Does that mean that my dream will be achieved?’
This was what he thought at first, but after reading the clauses of the contract, his face became basically red as he tried to hold himself back from simply tearing this contract apart.

At least there’s one small silver lining—Roark managed the grab a powerful magic artifact on his way through the portal, and with it he might just be able to save the world after all. Unless, of course, the Tyrant King gets to him first …Hey everyone, so as most of you know, I write books for a living, and I just put this title up on Amazon (and enrolled it in KU). Because KU requires exclusivity as part of their terms of service, I have had to pull the majority of the content from this site. I left the full novel up for as long as possible, so I hope everyone got a chance to read it. If you haven't had a chance to read it in its entirety (sorry!) you can pick it up on Amazon. Thanks again for coming on this journey with me, and I so hope you enjoyed it. The book will be out on Tuesday July 24th. Best, James Hunter
