Flag?
Am I cursed? Or there is a superior entity that is making fun of me?…
Well now it doesn’t matter.
The bear was dark brown in colour and its red eyes were scanning the frightened villagers.
Albert was one of the first to react and told to the women and the children to find refuge while the men were gathering some lances. The bear of course didn’t wait for its prey to escape and, with another powerful roar, attacked the armed men to pass. With a swing of its paw it broke some lances and sent two men flying.
The bear broke trough the formation of villagers and started to sprint toward a young girl that was escaping. The young girl noticed the bear and tripped giving a little shriek. She could only watch the bear trembling and terrorized.
Of course I couldn’t stay still. I too sprinted to the girl with the double of its speed and positioned myself between her and the beast. The beast was about to reach us when I gave it a cold and powerful glare.
For a moment I reverted back to my ghostly appearance and the bear immediately stopped in it’s track.
Its gaze turned from threatening to fearful and after a few second it escaped hurriedly to the wood.
I turned to look at the girl. She had blond wavy hair that reached her shoulders and light brown eyes. She was more or less twelve years old.
She was watching in the direction of the bear shocked for the fact that it escaped.
She watched me for a moment and after realizing that she was indeed safe and alive her eyes gathered a few tears before she hugged me.
“Thanks… *sniff * thank you… you… saved me…*sniff *”(girl)
“Eh?...” (me)

I could only wait like an idiot while she hugged me. After a few seconds she realized that she was still hugging me and released me in a hurry with a fully red face.
“So-so-sorry! I didn’t mean to! Sorry!”(girl)
I gave her a gentle smile.
“It’s noting, more importantly are you hurt?”(me)
“N-no! I’m all right! Ah sorry, my name is Elaine! N-nice to meet you!”(Elaine)
“Nice to meet you too. My name is Caligo”(me)
A moment later Albert came running in our direction screaming.
“ELAINE!!! Are you all right!!! I was very scared!”(Albert)
“Daddy! Y-yes, I am all right. Sir Caligo saved me from the bear and scared it away. If it wasn’t for him I would be dead.”(Elaine)
Elaine responded fidgeting with a little of pink on her cheeks. Is this a flag?… Well… Sorry but I am not into kids.
“Is that so? Thank you sir Caligo. If something were to happen to Elaine I wouldn’t know what to do? Really thank you very much! If you want something as a reward I-”(Albert)
“Elaine!!!”(???)
A woman in her thirties arrived running and immediately embraced the little Elaine with tears in her eyes.
“Elaine! Where did you go?! I couldn’t find you anywhere and I was very worried!!”(???)
“I’m so-sorry mum. I u-understand, please release me”(Elaine)
After Elaine mother calmed down Albert explained the situation to her and the two started to bow toward me, with Elaine following suit.
“Thank you sir Caligo for saving my daughter! My name is Eleanor, I am Albert’s wife. If there is anything that could compensate you please tell me!”(Eleanor)
“Please stop, miss Eleanor. I didn’t do it for a reward. It was only a normal. Your husband is a good man that offered to a stranger like me a place to sleep. It will be sufficient if you are kind enough to tell me some informations about the closest city. More importantly are the men of before alive?”(me)

Albert watched me for a moment with eyes of admiration and gratitude before answering.
“Really… Sir Caligo… Thank you. Your words are too kind. And, yes, they are only a light wounded. My Eleanor will prepare a bed and a room for you. Would you want to have lunch with us?”(Albert)
“If you are okay with me then I will gladly accept your offer.”(me)
We started to head toward Albert’s house while the other villagers were thanking me.
For the whole time Elaine was watching me with sparkling eyes as if I was a deity.
Really…I’m not a lolicon!!!
