The war was over with no deaths on our side, it was amazing to get no casualties. While everyone was celebrating, I was wondering how Helios managed to escape so fast. I tried to rack my brain for answers but could only remember Hector releasing a dark light.

"Dad, did you notice something strange?" I ain't getting any answers alone so I asked dad

"To bo honest son, I did. Forbidden magic" Dad replied as he looked at the direction where Hector and Helios fled

"...they were said to have been lost 300 years ago during the last war" I muttered

"...that doesn't seem to be the case now, I have to speak with the king" Dad quickly left with mom

"...uhm, return to camp. You guys deserve a good rest" since mom and dad left, the troops were left in my hands

We all started marching back to the camp while the 100 royal guards returned to the city without delay

Everyone was cheering and drinking wine, I let them do so because they deserved it but I didn't let our guard down so I appointed two teams composed of 20 men each. They will take turns in patrolling the camp, they were the veterans that didn't mind the newbies drinking while they look after them.

I went to my tent to get some rest, I never participated in their celebration because I'm not that into alcohol. Who knows? I might do something stupid when I'm drunk.

Today was Tuesday so Arachne slept with me, she really like to use my arms as her pillow... it will hurt tomorrow.

I opened my eyes and saw darkness everywhere before a spatial rip opened in front of me, looks like Grimm is comming for a visit

"Hey there kid" Grimm came out and greeted

"Hey, how's it going? " who said reapers were scary? It's just looking at yourself in the mirror without the beard for men and make-up for women.

"I'm a bit short on time so I'll get straight to the point" he was unexpectedly serious

"Hit me" I prepared myself mentally

"Almost 1 out of 10 fast foods you've eaten has pubic hair in it" he started laughing while hitting his knees

"What the hell man" he got me good, also that fun fact he said is disgusting

"Seriously, there will be a huge war coming your way soon" he warned me

"After making the prince unable to reproduce, I kinda expected it"

"No, what I meant to say is that you'll have to choose between 2 wars. Whichever you choose will cause you to lose the other, I hope you'll choose right"

"What?...the war with Sigrid is one thing but what's the other? At least give me some advice"

We all went to the cafeteria and ate breakfast, nothing bad seemed to have happened because all the hammered men that lay asleep on the ground had satisfied faces. The other veterans woke the drunk men by splashing cold water all over them, a few minutes later everyone seemed to have woken up and started eating their food

Everyone properly packed their tents and other belongings before we went back home, we started mid-day and had barely moved from our spot when afternoon came because of the men who were still a bit hung-over. This journey will be a bit long...

"So? You've lost even though you broke the rules? " I looked at Helios and asked

"I'm sorry dad but I don't know what happened, his weapon's consciousness seemed to have the ability to create and take down barriers" Helios replied

"...fine...go to your room, I have much to do" I'm too busy taking care of the other nobles, he left and I was left alone with my thoughts.

My son, Helios, he has always been shy and timid ever since Aria, his mother, passed away 10 years ago. But a few months back he suddenly changed, he became ambitious and started raping women...as a King I should have him executed but my fatherly love for him always stops me...now those women are married to him, the only thing that's keeping them and the other families whos daughter he raped from rebelling is the struggle to become the next royal bloodline.

Some of them even gifted their daughters to him to participate in this struggle, of course they've already planned to rebel but with a slight show of might caused them to cower in fear. Pathetic nobles. Now all the women he married are killing each other without Helios even noticing, they all want to be the queen and not some concubine. I went behind my throne and pushed a small rock on the wall, a door opened and showed some stairs going down. I walked down before arriving at a room, I opened it and saw the most beautiful woman I've ever laid my eyes on.

"Aria, I'm sorry for leaving you alone" she was in her casket with a cover made out of glass, I could see her body which was now only bones but I didn't find it disgusting.

She died because of an unknown illness, I was tormented every day because of her death...but all that will change, with his help I can revive Aria

"Just a couple more years..." I spoke to myself

"Do you want to revive her sooner..." It's his voice! His voice was very low so I can never mistake it

"Yes, but please, show yourself. We've been doing this together for years now" he has always hidden in the shadows and only spoke to me when I'm alone

"No need for that, after all, we're only doing this for our own benefits"

"...fine, tell me, what do I need to do?"

"Simple really, all you have to do is sacrifice the lives of a thousand people"

"I-I can't do that! What will Aria think of me if she woke up and found out I slaughtered thousands of people"

"Slaughtered? But what if you were doing it for justice?"

"Justice?"

"Yes, justice. I mean, wasn't your son harmed and shamed by the knight of the steel princess? "

"If Aria was alive, would you think she'd like to see her son in pain?"

"No she doesn't..."

"Then? What are you waiting for?"

"Okay then, I've decided to wage war against the Kingdom of Steel. I'll first need to prepare for two months, think you could lend me a hand? "

"No can do King, I've already helped you with striking fear into those nobles who wanted to rebel"

"If you want to revive Aria then I'm all you've got hehe..."

"...I know" I resentfully left the room and started giving out orders

We've finally returned back to the mansion after traveling for two days, dad's troops already went back straight to Pine city. I kept thinking about what Grimm said, choosing one will cause me to lose something important that other have. I have to get stronger, it may not be the answer but I feel that it's what I need to do.

We all called it a day and took the day off. The next day, we all went to Magus Academy together to get a mission.

I went straight to Ms.Lucia's office while Mira, Arachne, Clay and the others wait for me at the training grounds.

"Good morning Ms.Lucia" I greeted her as I entered her office. It was the same as ever, nice clean desk, books properly arranged on their shelves.

"Morning Lyan, here for your monthly mission?" She asked as she put down her pen and stopped writing

"Yeah"

"This is the mission given to you specifically by the adventurers guild"

She handed me the scroll and I read it

{A horde of the undead has been spotted at Hollow peak mountain. The nearest castle, Kaleid kingdom, have requested our aid.

"Why am are we going on an A-class mission? " I looked at Ms.Lucia

"Because you and the others actually finished an S class mission all by yourselves"

"We only got lucky that one time, we could've died you know"

"About that, we apologize but the old men at the adventurers guild saw potential in you so they're testing you"

"...looks like I really don't have a choice"

"Nope"

"*sigh* we'll get going then" I left the office with the mission on my hand

I met up with clay and the others and told them about the mission, they all had the same reaction as I did except for Mira, Mizu, and Arachne but Valeria only stood there like a stone statue.

"Valeria, you ok? " I asked her

"Yeah, I'm fine. Let's go on the mission! " she replied cheerfully

"Ok" I could only utter a reply before we returned to the mansion to prepare.

"Kuya-Lyan... are you going somewhere? " Ritzu asked me

(Ps. "Kuya" means older brother here in PH")

Oh yeah, Youko, Ritzu, and Riza are now my little sisters, mom adopted them. Youko will still take care of the mansion not as a worker but as her chore.

"Yeah, it might take us a while" I par her head

"But... I want to play..." Ritzu and Riza finally opened up to us after Mom visited, wonder what she did

"I'm really sorry but kuya can't play with you... why don't I bring you back dolls from where we're going to go?"

"Nooo, I want to play! " Ritzu runs off crying

"Leave it to me~" Arachne tapped my shoulders before going after Ritzu

Arachne came back half an hour later with a smile on her face.

"How did it go?" I asked apologetically

"She's fine now" Arachne wrapped herself around my left arm

"Is that so? Then... let's go! " I've already left enough money to Youko to last them a month

We all went on our journey east, towards Kaleid kingdom

The journey took us 4 days and when we finally arrived, we were met with a gruesome sight. The walls protecting the city were destroyed in several places, the land around the city was desolate and barren. I almost thought that Kaleid has fallen if it wasn't for the few sentry guards that roamed on top of the city walls, we entered the city after identifying ourselves as the adventurers sent from Central city. We were lead to an army camp where we met with the General in charge

"So you guys are from Magus Academy, the one they say to have finished an S class mission. Good day to you, I'm General Seph the only living General of Kaleid Kingdom. I want to give you guys a welcoming feast but as you can see our kingdom isn't doing that well..."

I heard rumors that Kaleid kingdom's king died in a coup led by the 2nd prince but in the end, the crown prince and the 2nd prince killed each other leaving the throne to the only living member of the royal family, the young princess

"It's fine, we're not here to celebrate anyway. My name is Lyan Timberwolf, leader of the Burning Legion."

"Mira, Lyan's lover" Mira was usually shy but she announces her relationship with me with utmost pride, it's cute

"Arachne, also Lyan's lover" cheerful as ever

"Clay, knight from the Burning Legion"

"Rivera, I'm the healer"

"Talia, scout"

"Mizu, warrior"

"Valeria, fighter"

All of them introduced themselves and the role they fulfill

"You guys ain't the first ones to arrive, let's get you guys settled in" He led us to a corner of the army camp, he pointed at a large tent that had 'Magus Academy' written at the top

"That's where you guys are staying, I hope you've brought food for yourselves?" Seph asked

"Yeah, we're good" Their food silo was burned down during the coup, bandits also used that chance to steal and pillage amidst the confusion

"Great, by the way, thanks again for heeding our plea for help we only need to hold out for a week before help arrives" Seph thanked us and left

"All right guys, this tent is large enough for all of us, left part will be the girl's side while the right side is the boy's side" I announced before unpacking our things.

There was no divider between us so we made use of a large fabric we found lying around the corner. Everyone was done unpacking.

"So, how do we decide kitchen duty?" Rivera asked

"...how about I cut this rope into four shorter ropes, I will hold on to them and everyone will hold on to one end. When I release the rope, the ones holding on the same rope will be partners for kitchen duty" I shared my idea and everyone seemed to have agreed to it

After everyone held on to a rope, I released my hand and the results were:

Rivera and Clay were happy, Mira and Mizu were having some kind of competitive aura while Arachne the cheerful was paired with Talia the meek and finally I was paired with Valeria. Valeria always wanted to learn how to cook, Mira and the others have been teaching her and I guess it's my turn...she really liked that 'dinardaraan' I should teach her that sometime.

Today was Mira and Mizu's turn so they left for the kitchen while everyone had an idle talk.

An hour passed and they were finally done cooking, Mira cooked chicken soup with various spice and herbs while Mizu cooked fish soup that had some clams and crabs... so these are the ones they bought before we left. The aroma from the two dish tickled our nose and made our stomachs demonstrate a whale's call.

We all ate while Mira and Mizu patiently wait for our opinions on the dish

"It's good~" Arachne was enjoying both meals, everyone else agreed with Arachne which made the two relieved

but they didn't who had the better dish so they looked at me for my opinion.

"The chicken soup tasted great, the chicken was soft while the vegetables mixed in perfectly blended with the chicken. The fish soup, on the other hand, had was also great, the fish was just as soft as the chicken and the flavors it carried with it gives you the impression of eating by the sea... so overall, they were both great" I suck at criticizing it seems

The serious look on both of them suddenly vanished and was soon followed by their laughter.

"I knew Lyan was going to give that answer" Mizu chuckled

"I guess our contest comes to a tie again" Mira was also laughing.

I had no idea what was happening so I only awkwardly laughed along.

I remembered us agreeing that the men and women would have separate sleeping spaces but right now there was divider between my bed and Clay's. Mira was snuggling close to me and I could see Rivera's silhouette arriving at Clay's bed. Is this the famous night attack?

With Mira beside me, I had a wonderful dream. The next day we were all woken up by the sound of a bell.

"Enemy attack! Get to your formation and defend the city! " I heard a man shout that out.

"You guys! Wake up! I forgot to mention yesterday but the spot you'll be protecting is the gate just by your camp! " I could hear Seph's shout from outside the tent

"Got it! Thanks! " Mira and I quickly put on our gear and showed ourselves in front of Seph to show him that we're ready

"Okay, I'm off to guard the northern wall!" Seph said those words before leaving.

I looked left and right before finding the sentry tower that had the stairs leading up, we were protecting the eastern gate while Seph and the Knight Academy protected the north. Gretel's witch Academy and religion of light were looking after the southern gate, the Archers academy was on the western gate, some of the guilds still haven't sent their representatives so we're all Kaleid has got for now.

"Mira, lead them up the tower after they're all done preparing. I'll meet up with you guys there"

"Okay!"

I started running up the stairs and soon arrived at the top of the wall, I looked down and saw the hordes of undead going our way. The wall was at least 30 feet high and was 24 inches thick, those zombies will at least need something stronger than their arms if they want to breach these walls, the archers on my left and right are all nervous.

Their catapults didn't have any rock on it, looks like they've exhausted most of their supplies. If this goes on, they'll all be forced to use their swords against all of those zombies... imagine 300-500 archers holding a sword against almost 3000-4500 zombies, to make matters worse, the warriors that are supposed to be protecting the city and the gates in case of a breach have all fled.

"Who is in command here?" I asked the closest archer

"No one is! He already fled long ago!" The archer was hysterical

This is bad, they're all at their breaking points. Once a problem pops up, they'll all go crazy instead of carefully thinking through them...I don't blame them though

"I am Lyan Timberwolf, the leader of the Burning Legion, me and my friends have come here to aid you guys! Don't worry, we will all get through this together!" That's off my bucket list

"In the face of a thousand zombies, we amount to nothing!" An archer roared out

I walked to him and gave him a strong punch in the face

"Get it together soldier! I'm fighting here so that the people I love in central city could lead a peaceful life! Now tell me what are you fighting for?!" I was shouting in his face

"...I-I have a wife and a daughter who escaped to a nearby village" he meekly replied

I punched him again before replying

"Do you want them to die?!"

"No..." his voice was still weak

"I can't hear you maggot" again, showering his face with saliva

"No!! " he shouted out

"Now that's better! Is there any of you wankers here who got no reason to be fighting?!" I looked around

The archers all looked at each other and stayed silent

"Any of you who believe they're going to die today better get off the wall! I'm fighting to live so I could continue watching over my friends and family" I kept shouting at them

"Now any of you retards want to die here and let those zombies massacre your friends and family?! "

"NO!!" They all roared out

"Good! Now get to your stations! Any of you here can cast magic? " I asked

"We can use a few spells.."

15 people stepped forward and presented themselves, 7 are fire mages while the other 8 are earth mages. The only ranged spell they got is Fire spear and earth spear.

"Earth mages, think you can pull the earth 30 feet below and turn them as ammunition for the catapults? " I asked

"I'm sorry but we can't" the leading man apologized

"It's fine, concentrate all your attacks on using earth spears along with the fire mages"

"We're here! What'd we miss?" Clay spoke as the others followed him

"Clay, got any ranged spells?" I asked

"Captain, you should know that knights can't use magic... they could only use skills that were either self-taught or were inherited from other knights" Clay replied as he scratched his head

"Ranged skills, I meant ranged skills" I forgot, I was an exception

"Sorry Cap, don't got any"

"That's fine, but be prepared to run down in case the gate is breached"

"Aye Captain!"

"Mira, lists everyone's levels" I looked at Mira and requested

Mira only nodded and asked everyone in the legion for their levels

"Valeria, can you use your skill to see their level?" I asked Valeri

"They're all at least level 80 and above" she answered after squinting her eyes at the swarm of zombies

"Talia, keep watch and support us with your dark energy spheres" Talia recently learned a skill that allows her to shoot out dark energy spheres from her palm to long distances. They're only good for dropping down various stats such as movement and attack speed, their armors also drop down. Each sphere could lower stats by 1% they can be stacked up to five times, they're not mana consuming so Talia can keep going on for an hour before she finally runs out of mana.

"Got it" Talia aimed her palm and started attacking

"Fire mages and earth mages, attack them with all you've got. Archers, make it rain"

"Talia, did scout get their numbers?" I asked Talia

"Yes about 987 zombies are here, 1200 at the north, and 913 at the south" Talia's scout could easily count all of the attacking zombies

The zombies advanced at a turtle's pace as rock, fire, and arrows rained at them. Almost 670 zombies made it to the wall after the archers exhausted their arrows while the mages run out of mana and passed out where they were.

"All of you go down, only the Burning Legion is allowed here, Clay and Rivera go down with them" I ordered out

After four waves of arrows only 310+ Zombies died, it did cause damage to other zombies.

The archers seemed to have made me their leader so they followed my orders and prepared downstairs, the people in the north, south, and west can't properly see what's going down here so I'm free to go all out

"Arachne, rope long enough to reach down" I requested

"Here! " Arachne produced a strong and sturdy the web before handing it to me, I looked for a good place to tie it before jumping down the wall.

I slid down and when I was 10 feet above the ground, I jumped down and used [smash] on the zombies around the wall to clear a path for the others to land on

The other members of the Burning Legion arrived beside me, only Talia was left at the top of the wall.

"On the other side of this gate are Clay and the others, we must not let these zombies get passed us. If you guys are tired, you're free to ask them to open the gates and rest inside" everyone seemed to be excited about this battle especially Mizu

I took the lead and ran forwards after infusing Rea with [whirlpool] I threw her at center of the swarm, water came out of nowhere and started to twist and turn around Rea.

"Mizu!" I pointed at the spot where I threw Rea, Mizu looked at the direction I was pointing at and was surprised.

Mizu used [Aqua jet] and rode it to the whirlpool, Mizu was in her element there so she started slaughtering all the zombies who got caught up in it.

While killing the zombies with Lea, I noticed a few zombies surrounding Valeria so I dived in and used [ Mud pit] on the ground the zombies were caught in it and Valeria mowed them down before using them as steps as to not get caught up in the muddy trap.

Mira was beheading zombies here and there but the numerous zombies will soon overpower her, I infused [water jet] on Lea before sending a large torrent of water on the zombies that got behind Mira.

Arachne was merrily shooting arrows from a distance so I guess she doesn't need my help, I infused Lea with [Flame torrent] which created [Fire path] when I unleashed it. The whirlpool soon disappeared and only left Mizu and Rea who was surrounded by dismembered bodies of the zombies, Mizu literally bathed in blood.

I ran off and grabbed Rea before infusing both blades with [Ice giant's strike] and started a rampage. This continued on for a while, I supported anyone who was in need of it while killing the zombies at the same time. It was hard but worth it.

"Captain! 50 more!" I heard Talia's shout

"Ok!" I waved back, all of us were exhausted but refused to rest

"Final stretch guys!" I laughed as I looked at everyone's disheveled appearance

"Lyan, think you can send me up?" Valeria looked at me

"Sure, stand beside me" I replied while beckoning here

She followed stood beside me while I knelt down and placed my palm on the ground before using [earth wall], the ground beneath her feet suddenly rose and stopped after rising up to 15 feet. She looked down on the ground and jumped in the center of the last 50 zombies before unleashing a punch on the ground that let out a thunderous roar, the zombies got hit by the shockwave and lost their balance, some even lost their limbs. We took this chance and easily killed all the remaining zombies.

"Lyan, I've been curious for a while now...can you use more than two elements?" Mizu asked

I have nothing to hide from them, I trust them enough to let them know about my secret.

"Yeah, I can use about 7. Fire, earth, ice, wind, lighting, water, light" the 8th... I don't really know my 8th element, I only that it's there...

"Wow" Mizu praised me while Valeria only tilted her head

"I don't understand..." Valeria asked after a brief silence

"Most creatures only get one element, even having two is already extremely rare" Mizu explained

"But... Mira and Arachne didn't seem too surprised" Valeria looked at Mira and Arachne

"I already knew since we were kids" Mira replied briefly

"I always kinda felt it by instinct ~" Arachne, that's one scary instinct you got there

"Then...doesn't that mean that Lyan is special?" Mizu asked

"You can say that" Arachne spoke before I can open my mouth

"Bet everyone's worried sick right now, come on let's go back" Mizu knocked on the gate and notified everyone on the other side that we've won

The gate opened and everyone welcomed us. The archers could hardly believe that the zombies outside were taken care off by us but the proof in front of them was hard to reject so they celebrated with us.

Amidst our joy and laughter, a bright light shone on the south side of Kaleid, the clouds above it started to clear up before an army of phantom-like angels showed up. They all dove down while brandishing their weapons, it was quiet for a while before a loud roar of cheers was heard from the southern gate as the bright light vanished.

The religion of Light seems to have gone all out, the cheers kept on for a while before it finally died down. I ordered everyone from the Burning Legion to get some rest while the archers go out and make sure that all the zombies stay dead while salvaging for reusable arrows

We all went to our beds before we slept, Clay and Rivera stayed up just in case something comes up.

It was already afternoon when I woke up, everyone else seems to still be asleep. With nothing to do, I decided to enter the island in a bottle, as usual, the land was blooming with life but out of nowhere...

"...release me..." I heard an eerie dark voice

"... who's there?"

"...you are not yet strong enough... leave this place and come back if you've at least at the 200th level..."

I felt a strange force push me back, I woke up and looked around me... I was back at the tent...what the hell was that?

No matter how much I think, no answers will come up with only so little clues so I decided to come back when I'm at least level 200. I decided to clean Rea and Lea

'You guys okay there?' I asked

'...please master Lyan, wipe off the b-blood off my body' Lea pleaded

'Wrong Lea, it's please rub me master Lyan~♡' Rea corrected her

'Oh god please kill me' Raija was annoyed as always

I started with Rea since she's the older sister of Lea, I could never get used to Rea's moaning... I was finally done with Rea who was still heavily breathing and started with Lea

'... master Lyan... please be gentle, i-it's my f-first time' Lea's innocence is quite attractive....

I started slow... I have to admit, there's a part of me that makes her want to moan.

'... a-ah! ' I could hear her stifled moans which only gave fuel to the fiery lust within me

I kept rubbing off the blood on Lea, it was a fun experience because all I heard was stifled moans instead of screams of ecstasy and pleasure.

I was done cleaning but Mira and the others were still asleep, it was getting dark so I woke up Talia and Arachne. It was their turn to cook dinner, the pair started cooking while still yawning. I left the tent because it seems like it will take them a while, I went back to the top of the wall and looked around. There seems to be a castle not far from here, that should be the enemy base...

"Lyan! You've got some time to spare?" Without me noticing, Seph arrived next to me.

"Yeah, I can spare some time" I nodded.

"Perfect, there's going to be a meeting a few minutes from now, I'd like you to participate" Seph requested

"Sure, where's it going to be held?"

"In the castle, once you're there just notify the guard at the gate he'll lead you to the meeting room"

"Okay, thanks"

"See you there"

Seph left and I went back to our camp to notify Arachne where I was going before leaving for the castle.

I followed Seph's instructions and soon found the meeting room, everyone was not here yet because there were still vacant positions. The table was oval there was also a few decorations here and there and finally, there was podium near the end of the table, there were 15 free seats 3 seats closest to the podium have been occupied so I took the seat farthest from the podium and patiently waited.

"We're so blessed to have you heroine! " a random soldier praised me

"With the heroine here, we are sure to win!" Another soldier shouted out

I only waved my hands at them before a four beautiful men carried my seat and walked back to our camp

"Finally! I'm away from those dirt-faced disgusting soldiers" I mutter to myself as I leaned back in my chair

"You're right, peasants like those should feel blessed that they have gazed upon your beautiful face" one of my man-slaves fed me some apple slices

This is an ability that I received upon arriving at this world [charm] anyone who falls for my beauty will turn into my slave, I've used this ability to charm all of the handsome men that I've met. It didn't matter if they had wives or girlfriends, as long as they're handsome they're mine!

"As for the Iron, we can salvage the things the zombies had with them such as broken armors and swords, are those fine?"

"Only problem bow is the featherheads..."

"We have a huge stock of them back at the base, we could go get some there"

"Nice, okay! We've got a lot to do today to prepare for the next attack. Team 1 will be composed of 100 archers, your job is to harvest wood and bring them back here. Team 2 will be made up of 150 people, your task is to salvage and make arrow tips. Team 3, 25 people collect featherhead and attach them to the arrows. Clay, Rivera, and Talia went with Team 1 to watch over them while they collect lumber while I made a simple pulley system. Arachne provided a long sturdy rope we can use, Mira, Mizu, and Valeria stayed at the sentry spot on top of the tower.

It was a long and tiring day but it all went well, we managed to make 47 boulders for the 4 catapults, 13 were on top of the wall while the others were neatly stacked on the ground. We also managed to create 667 arrows and there were still tons of materials piled up on the side.

We are ready for the next wave, Mira and I gave each other a massage before going to sleep.

It was midday the next day when the next wave of attack happened.

The zombies from last time were slow, weak and had an advantage by numbers but this time the zombies were a bit sturdier and stronger but only numbered to 600. The zombies wore full plated armor and were holding on to a round wooden shield while the other hand had a sword on it, they were all in a formation... these guys used to be soldiers...

"Damn undead, the world will be a better place without them" an archer spoke

"Yeah, they're nothing but filth, they should be gone from this world" another archer spoke out

"Hey concentrate on the enemies in front! " I stopped them from talking any further because Valeria might hear them

The archers looked forward and concentrated on the enemies, I looked for Valeria in case she heard it but I can't seem to find her... I finally found her after scanning the entire area but... she was running towards the forest outside the walls... oh no.

"Clay, Rivera, Talia, you guys are in charge. Mira, Arachne, Mizu, come with me!" I have a bad feeling about this,

We all went after Valeria

"Are you sure it's okay to leave the defenses to Clay?" Mizu asked

"Don't worry, they have more than enough ammunition to take those zombies down" I replied without looking back

"What happened? Why did Valeria run away?" Arachne asked

"It's about the undead thing" I answered Arachne's question.

"What about it?" Mizu asked

"She's half undead..."

""What?!"" All of them were shocked but Mira kept silent

"Her father is an undead while her mother was a human, I found her by the forest being chased by some undeads so I saved her"

"...so that's how it was..." Arachne seemed to have figured out something.

We finally saw Valeria, she was crying the river. None of us made the first move so I gathered all my courage and walked towards Valeria

"...hey, you okay?" I asked

"If the world wanted you to die would you be okay?" She replied as she tried to stop the tears from rolling.

"Of course I won't be..." I want to encourage her but no words came out

"I never wanted to be half an undead... all I wanted was to live like a real human girl, to fall in love, to feel happy..."

I could only stay quiet

"Why? Why can't I be happy?!" She looked at me and asked

"You already are happy, remember the things we all did together? I didn't know if you noticed but I for sure have"

"Remember the first time you saw a butterfly? Weren't you happy back then?"

"Happiness is easily forgotten but pain is always remembered" I said those words before beckoning the others to come over

"We're all your friends, we're here for you so don't be afraid" I spoke while I held her hand and her claws

"Yea, we will always be there for you" Arachne chimed in

"We may not have been together long enough to call each other best friends but I'm always willing to give it a shot" Mizu patted her shoulder

Mira only hugged Valeria for a brief moment before separating from her.

"I knew it was you, I could smell you from miles away. Why don't we go home, your father has been waiting for you...you don't belong here with the humans, they might comfort you but in the end, you're still an undead, a monster they despise " an eerie voice of a woman was heard as fog started to surround us

"Who are you?" I asked as I looked around me, I don't see her nor do I know where she is so I have to stay vigilant

"Hmm? I am the stepmother of Valeria, what right do you have to butt in on our conversation?" A woman came out of the trees, she was in the middle of decomposition and had a see-through robe covering her body, she was holding on to a rod...a mage but what element?

"Lyan! Go! You can't beat her!" Valeria was alarmed

"Oh ho ho ho, is he your boyfriend? You've really done all you want since you've escaped...I'll give your punishment later, now come with me or the man and the other women lose their heads" the woman threatened Valeria but I stood in between her and Valeria

"Lyan doen't, she's level 207..." Valeria was tugging on my back

"I've already fought similar opponents, don't worry, we can take her" I comforted Valeri
