"Welcome home~" Arachne greeted me as I enter the mansion

"Let's have breakfast" Mira wiped off my sweat with a towel

The three of us walked into the dining room and to my surprise, I saw Valeria and Mizu there patiently waiting

"They can eat with us, right?" Arachne requested me

"Of course they can" I have no objections

We all ate together while sharing some funny stories, I went to the bathroom and washed my body before putting on my robes and walking out of the mansion along Mira, Arachne, Valeria, and Mizu. Clay and the others were waiting for us at the gate and after meeting with them, we all went to Magus Academy together.

I introduced Mizu to Mrs.Sasha, Mrs.Sasha handled all the paperwork and assigned Mizu to me as a first-year student apprentice. The last mission we took on was suddenly turned into an S-class mission so Ms.Lucia gave us a week to rest our bodies, we were only practicing our skills on the training ground that the school provided.

"Lyan, I can't help but notice the poster that you were holding when you came home earlier" Mira sat beside me and leaned her head on my shoulders

"Yeah... what of it?" I asked as I watch Clay get owned by Mizu

"You seem to be releasing some kind of murderous aura when you arrived home while holding it, I don't know if I have the right to know but still... may I ask?" Mira might seem cold but she really cares about me

"Hmmm, how to say this... I really don't like the Heroine and the Hero" I can't possibly tell her that I'm a reincarnated person

"Is it something like your gut feeling?" Mira looked at me and asked

"Yeah, the moment I heard them, I already knew that I hated them"

Mira didn't reply and just continued leaning on my shoulder, she really can't express her love in public that much. She only leans on my shoulder from time to time or secretly holds my hand, it's really adorable.

"Ate-Mira, no fair!" Arachne sat beside me while wiping off her sweat

"You defeated Valeria?" I asked, Arachne and Valeria always had matches against each other

"Yeah, she's right there" Arachne pointed at a location, my head followed and saw Valeria there who was silently laying on the ground

"Is she alright?" I asked

"Yeah, she's a bit tired. Hey, Lyan, aren't you worried about me?" Arachne kissed my cheeks before wrapping her body around my arm. If Mira was shy, Arachne was more of uhm...shameless? I can't find the right word

"Come on Lyan! your turn!" Mizu waved at me

"What happened to Clay?" I asked

"He's right there, sulking in the corner" I looked at the spot where Mizu pointed and saw Clay getting comforted by Rivera, I laughed at this scene and patted Mira and Arachne before making my towards the training ground and facing Mizu

Mizu held her magic rod and pointed it at me

"Ready?" She asked

"Yeah" I didn't take our Rea nor Lea, I'm using [Ice Lance]

"[Jet stream!]" Mizu quickly used jet stream but surprisingly, it didn't attack me instead, it went underneath Mizu's leg and carried her off the ground.

She rode the jet stream and kept casting multiple water skills, it was very annoying. I can only catch up to her if I use [Storm dash] but I won't be using it anytime soon, I threw a lance that was aimed at her robe, the lance hit her robe and impaled the ground, this caused her to fall off the jet stream and land on the ground. I ran towards her while she was struggling to remove the lance, she knew she couldn't make it in time so she chose to stand her ground and kept casting skills aimed at me.

"Let the tide rise with my call, sweep my enemies off the floor [Tidal wave!]" Water appeared around Mizu and turned into a gigantic wave that headed for me

I couldn't escape to the sky using [flame eruption] but I had other uses for it, I used [Flame eruption] while doing a roundhouse. The fire kept spewing out my leg and thanks to the roundhouse, it turned into a fire tornado that protected me from the tide. The tide passed and I started running to Mizu's location, Mizu, on the other hand, raised her hand and gave up

I was a bit weirded out by her actions so I asked

"Why'd you give up?" I pulled out the ice lance and helped her up

"I already knew that I would lose the moment I saw that gigantic fire tornado you made" Mizu laughed bitterly

"That jet stream of yours was annoying as hell though" I had to admit, it gave me a hard time

"Really? thanks!" Mizu liked my compliment and kept humming as she sat beside Mira, looks like they've become friends

"Excuse me, are you Mr.Timberwolf?" a young lady asked

"Yes, may I help you?" I asked

"Mrs.Sasha is looking for you" she quickly left after telling me the message

It was weird, usually, it would be Ms.Lucia who will come to get me if there are some issues that Mrs.Sasha wants to discuss with me. I notified Mira and Arachne before I left for Mrs.Sasha's office. I soon arrived in front of her office and entered, inside was Mrs.Sasha who had a very weird smile and a hooded girl.

"Please take a seat Mr.Lyan" Mrs.Sasha was strangely formal, it gave me the creeps

"Is there something I can help you with?" Since Mrs.Sasha was being formal, then I'll just play along

"It's not me who you need to help, it's the princess" Mrs.Sasha said with a smile,

The hooded girl removed her hood and showed her face, it was princess Mileena

"Princess?" I was surprised

"Hello Lyan" She had smiled but it I felt that it was only forced

"Is there something wrong? are you ok?" I was a bit worried.

"I'm fine...but Lyan, would you be my knight?" I was surprised by her words

"May I ask why?" if it was any other random person who asked, I would've rejected them.

"It...It's the Hero of the other country...He requested for my hand in marriage" She had a bitter smile

"You couldn't reject him?"

"I did at first, but the hero was also the prince of his country...he pressured father"

I only kept quiet

"And you know my father, he doesn't want meaningless war but he also didn't want to marry me off to some unknown man so he came to a decision to marry me off to someone else that he could at least trust"

"And that is the son of his best friend, me, am I right?" I kinda grasped the situation now

"Yes, I'm actually fine being married to you because, in the short amount of time we've had, I already knew you were a good person" Mileena smiled

"But the Hero didn't take this lying down, right?"

"Yeah... he actually issued a challenge, whoever wins the fight gets my hand in marriage" Mileena had a bitter expression

"That little cunt..." I could only utter those words

"I'm really sorry for dragging you into my problem..." Mileena apologized

"I'm fine with fighting him but is it alright if I change the conditions?"

"Really? Thanks! as for the conditions, we can discuss it with him once he arrives"

"When is that?"
