《The Battle Mage》Approaching Battle

My cage was dragged deeper and deeper into the sea until we finally arrived at what seemed like a gigantic dome, we entered the dome. Inside the dome was a humongous city, the people inside were all Sirens and Nagas. They all looked at me as the cage was dragged to what seemed to be palace, I was dragged until we arrived in front of the throne room
I was pulled out of the cage, they put a choker around my neck which was connected to a weird energy chain, the energy chain gave off bluish sparks every now and then.
I was dragged into the throne room and was forced to kneel to the person on the throne, I couldn't clearly see who was on the thrones because I was forced to look down the moment we entered
"Who is this?" It was the voice of a woman, then the one on the thrones is a queen?
"My queen, this human was found on Scylla's island" the guard beside me reported
"And? What happened to Scylla?"
"She was found then along with her husband, we believe this human killed them"
"Oh? Human, tell me why did you kill them and what you were doing on the island"
"My lovely queen, I was separated from my friends and when I woke up, I was already on the island. As for the mermaid couple's death, they tried to eat me so I retaliated" I really hate formalities
"Is that so? Th-" the queen was about to say something but the door slammed open
"Mom! We retrieved the crown!" Seems like there's a princess
"Mizu! Please stop barging in like that" the queen lost all her noble aura when the princess showed up
"Who cares about that? We got the... Mom, who's this person? " I can feel her stare
"A human who killed Scylla" the queen replied
"Why is he cuffed? He killed a criminal, guards! Quickly set this man free" Mizu ordered the guards
"Okay Mizu, report" the queen inquired

"We attacked the undead's base back in tortoise island but when we got there, the base was already under siege. Scouts reported that a group of humans entered the base earlier than we did, when we finally got to the room where the demon Amon was sealed, he was already dead however there were blood trails here and there, the humans who fought it probably sustained heavy damage. We safely retrieved the crown and on our way here, we were delayed by a leviathan so we had to take a detour. Speaking if which...scouts reported that the leviathan wrecked a ship before hunting us down"
"Human, are you perhaps one of the people who boarded the ship?" The queen asked me
"Probably...to be honest, I was the one who fought Amon" my plan was to let the Nagas help get home but making them indebted to me was also good
"Oh? Are you now?" The queen didn't believe me
"Call the scout now! " Mizu ordered a guard the guard that came along with her
After a few minutes, a siren with dark clothing entered the room
"My queen, princess, I am here to serve" she gracefully bowed
"Tell me, did you clearly see the humans who entered the undead's base before we did?" Mizu inquired
"Yes princess, I saw 4 humans, 1 male, 3 female fighting off zombies outside the cave"
"Did you see this man among those humans?" The queen pointed at me while she asked the scout
"No..." She squinted her eyes at me, seemed like she was trying to remember something
"Human, why did you lie?" The queen rubbed her forehead and asked, I was about to answer but the scout cut me off
"Wait, your majesty, during our fight with the undead, I saw 6 humans leave the cave, they were carrying a body. This man is the body they were carrying!" The scout pointed at me, she was clearly shocked.
"Really?!" Mizu quickly arrived beside me

"Do you guys believe me now?" I asked while checking my neck, the collar left an itchy mark
"We believe you now, seems like the leviathan broke the ship you were in" the queen spoke
"You fought Amon?! " Mizu was looking at me with starry eyes
"Yes" I replied with a smile
"Great! You're just in time for the parade, come join us!" Mizu held both of my hands, now that I look at her she is beautiful, you can easily mistake her for a human female if it wasn't for the small tentacles behind her back.
"Sure thing" I have to keep them happy if I want that ride back home
"Let's go!" She pulled me out of the throne room
She kept dragging me until we arrived at what seemed to be a parade float
"Everything ready?" She asked a Naga guardian beside her
"Yes princess, everything is ready for the return of the crown" the guardian respectfully replied
She opened the door and dragged me inside the float, she kept dragging me until we arrived at the platform of the float. She rummaged through her magic bag and brought out a crown, she carefully placed it on a podium before covering it with glass
"Okay, everything's ready! Let's go!" when her orders fell, the float started moving forward signaling the start of the parade
She waved at the countless Sirens and Nagas that celebrated the return of the crown, she also held my hand while asking me to wave my hand, I had no choice but to comply.
After traveling an hour, we finally arrived at a shrine behind the palace, seems like we circled around the city before arriving here. She took out the crown from the podium and left the float, I only watched. She walked the stairs going up and finally arriving at a shrine, she carefully placed the crown inside the shrine and walked back to my spot.
"What's with the crown?" I asked
"Oh, the crown? It's for future king my brother but it seems like he won't be coming from his journey anytime soon so we place it on this shrine in honor of the late king" she replied with melancholy
"Oh... I'm sorry I made you remember about the late king" I apologized
"Don't worry, it's no problem " she waved her hands
We were about to return the palace but we were stopped by a loud horn
"A leviathan is spotted fast approaching!" A guard quickly reported to Mizu
We returned to the throne room to strategize
"Why is a human here?!" A Naga guardian who looked like he's been through countless battles asked
"He is my guest... Uhm what's your name again?" Mizu looked at me and asked
"Lyan, Lyan Timberwolf" I introduced myself
"Right, Lyan here defeated the demon Amon for us" Mizu defended me
"Oh, is that so? I apologize for my rude behavior but still, this is an important battle..." The guardian replied
"It's fine, he will help with the battle right Lyan?" Mizu looked at me and smiled
"I am?" I have no idea what was happening
"Of course you are!" She smiled as she grabbed my hands
"I can't really fight right now, I'm still recovering from my fight with Amon..."
"Oh come on, you killed Scylla the witch and besides we're not fighting the leviathan, we're fighting the minions the leviathan brought with it" she was still smiling
"What?"I once again have no idea
"We've got a barrier that protects us from the leviathans but the leviathans discovered this and adopted, now whenever they attack, they always bring with them a huge number of murlocks" Mizu explained
"Oh...count me in then" I would get ln their good side plus I get tons of experience for leveling up, speaking of which, I haven't checked my stats yet after my battle with that demon

The Rocky Shore
This is a LitRPG series. Every story you read here takes place in the same virtual world, with the same rules and limitations. Characters will travel, explore vast and dangerous realms, overcome obstacles, meet one another, enter into conflicts with one another, forge alliances, make horrible mistakes, and occasionally just die. A technological singularity has been achieved, and humanity has been trapped in a virtual world by a super-intelligent, self-improving artificial intelligence. This program is not malicious at all. In fact, it desires nothing except the happiness and fulfillment of every human it has copied into itself. If its decisions seem strange to you, that's only because its reasoning is far beyond ours. It recognizes that humans cannot be happy without enemies to overcome and goals to achieve, as well as the possibility of failure and death. The world it has created may be heaven or hell, depending on the free choices of the people it contains. The non-player characters who live in this realm have no idea that they are part of a vast computer system. They seem real enough, but there is no way to tell if they are truly self-aware. Even the system that created them isn't certain. This is world in which all the things that humans are used to dealing with in the abstract: skills, talents, knowledge, reputation, social status, morality, even love, exist as readable statistics that players can see and interact with objectively. This has many curious and complex effects on how people perceive themselves and the world around them. A few quick notes on the system: -Death is permanent -The system interface can only be accessed at certain locations. -Magic of diverse kinds is available and useful, but is not a good substitute for skills, physicallity, or mental prowess. Non-magical characters are common and competitive. -There is no inventory system. Characters must physically carry everything they wish to have on their person. -Healing is slow and difficult. Magical Healing is all but unheard of. Protagonists: Raymond Garrison- A man in his late twenties who used to work as a forklift operator in Idaho. His path leads him to work as a mercenary, protecting a small community of humans and goblins from the Seelie Fae who wish to exterminate them. Patricia Chandler- A elderly British woman who arrives in this new world with her grandson Kyle and her granddaughter Elizabeth. Never having dealt with rpg game mechanics before, she is in for a rough time, but she is determined to keep her grandkids alive in a world full of danger and evil. Jamil Mesbah- An Egyptian woman who once worked as a technical writer. Her path leads into a vast and hostile forest, where she must master both her magical abilities and her survival skills in order to succeed. Enjoy your travels, friends.
