I woke up and felt myself floating, I looked around and saw the vast sea

"What the hell happened?" I mutter to myself

I tried to move my but to no avail, looks like I'm stuck here

'Rea, Raija, you guys there? '

But there was no reply. I tried to recall everything that happened before I passed out but my thoughts were disrupted when I felt something bite my back and started pulling me downwards, I struggled to look behind me and saw a small shark. I tried to cast a spell but the effects of [limit break] still haven't worn off and was causing the flow of mana within me to fail.

I struggled to move my hand and to check my waist and to my surprise, my magical bag wasn't there, I was starting to panic but I calmed myself down. With all the strength I have, I tried to pry open the jaws of the shark to set myself free but it was a useless struggle. Air escaped my lungs and I felt my consciousness fade but out of nowhere, I felt an arm wrap around me. When I woke up, I was already on the shore of a small island and I was being dragged so I turned my head to look and saw a merman. It had the upper body of a fish and a lower body of a man

"Are you awake?" The merman called out to me

"Yeah, where are you taking me?" I was vigilant towards this merman even though he saved me

"Don't worry, I'm taking you to a safe place" he dragged me around for quite a while before laying my body on a bed made out of dry grass inside a cave.

I looked around and saw lots of jars, I don't know what's in them but they reek as hell.

"No stay here while I search for some herbs" he said before running outside

I can't really move my body so I decided to just rest.

A few hours passed and I can at least walk on my own but only walk, no running or fighting. I was curious about the jars so I limped towards them, I slowly opened one of the jars and saw...fish entrails but this didn't stink as much as the other. I looked around and after three minutes of aimless walking, I came across a skull, it still had a bit of flesh in it.

I had to look for weapons to use in case that merman comes back but I can barely even lift a weapon, I was in the middle of hatching a plan but the sound of footsteps disrupted my thoughts so I quickly looked for a place to hide. I hid behind a rock.

"What?!... Human, I know you're in here..." Seems like he found out I was missing.

I slowly crept my way outside, making sure that I'm well hidden behind the rocks. The merman was going deeper in and was finally out of sight, I let out a sigh of relief and walked outside the cave. I started walking away from the cave while looking for a safe place to hide, I found a dead tree that had a hollow interior. I found a small crack where my body could fit in so I squirmed my way inside and covered the entrance with some bushes, I took out some fruits I found on my way and started munching them. I went to sleep after eating those fruits and when I woke up, it was already mid-day.

'Lyan! You're finally awake!'

'Rea? Where are you?'

'I'm on the shore south of where you are'

'Do you have any idea on what happened?'

'No....I just woke up and found my body on the shore along with your magic bag'

'Okay, wait there I'm coming'

'Yes'

I peeked outside and when I was sure that there wasn't anyone outside I squirmed outside and started heading for the shore. On the way, I tried testing my strength, I can't swing a weapon but I can at least use magic though I'm only limited to simple magic and I'm able to cast three times. After walking for half an hour, I finally found Rea on the shore.

'How did you get out of the magic bag?' I asked Rea

'Perks of having consciousness but this is the best I can do for now'

I tied the magic bag back to my waist and returned Rea inside the magic bag and started my journey back to the hollow tree, I wanted to eat meat but I can't really hunt anything in the state I was in so I had to make due with only fruits and according to Rea, 'love'.

Another day passed and I felt half of my strength return to me, I got out of the hollow tree and did some hunting. I managed to catch a wild chicken, it was 24 inches in height and 14 inches wide, it was 3 kilos. I'm finally going to have a proper meal so I looked for a good place to roast the chicken. After eating the chicken, it was already midday but I felt a compelling force pull me towards the cave so I peeked inside and found a mermaid singing. This is bad I'd better not listen, I was about to leave but...

"Hehe, never thought you'd return..." I looked behind me and saw the merman holding a spear

"Honey! I've found food!" The merman called out to the mermaid inside the cave

"I'm having human stew tonight" the merman laughed mischievously

"Sorry but I can't give you human stew as your last meal" I used [storm dash] and appeared behind him before using [lightning strike] on his body leaving a large cut in his back

"Honey!" The mermaid came out from the cave and saw the merman in a wounded state

"Tch got me by surprise" The Merman stated

"Don't worry I'll take care of him!" The mermaid looked at me resentfully

"Not my fault he was too weak" I just sighed and shook my head

"Foolish human! you will pay for your hurting my husband! Water heed my call, make my enemies head roll! [Aqua strike]!" water coiled around the mermaid's lower body as a water snake rose up and headed towards me with its mouth agape

"[Storm Dash]" I arrived behind the mermaid just as the snake hit my after image

"What the?!" The mermaid was surprised but managed to dive down into the water, hiding from my attack

I couldn't really pinpoint where she was so I had to force her out, I grabbed the wounded merman and proceeded to poke his wounds with Rea. His screams soon lured the mermaid from hiding

"You damnable human! release him!" She roared out

"Why should I do that?" I poked his wound again causing him to scream out in pain

"What do you want?!" She wanted to negotiate

"Nothing much really, just tell me where I am and help me get out of this island"

"No!" She was quick to reply, is she hiding something?

"Don't you care about your husband's life?"

"I'm sorry honey but this is something we must protect!" She roared out

"Don't worry! just do what you have to do!!" The Merman bit my hand and stuck to my body like super glue

"I'll revive you later! Waves of anger and despair, make my foe feel fear [Tsunami]!" A gigantic wave formed behind the mermaid and started crashing down on me and Merman

I quickly used [Flame burst] and escaped to the sky, I pointed Rea towards the sky and infused her with [Lightning strike] before sending a crescent lightning wave towards the mermaid. The speed of my attack caught the mermaid off guard and rendered her unable to dodge, she was electrocuted to the point that black smoke started rising from her body.

"HONEY! you son of a bitch!" The merman tried to bite my neck but I twisted his body and executed a wrestling move called piledriver

The Merman broke his neck and stopped breathing air? or water, whatever. I started removing the sand off my boots when suddenly Naga's emerged from the ocean

"Scylla the witch, we're here to arrest you for conspiring with the undead...?" The Naga saw the roasted Mermaid on the shore before turning his head to look at the disfigured Merman and finally looking at me.

"Help, they kidnapped me" I did my best to act innocent

"Right...Human, you're coming with us" The moment the Naga said that countless more emerged from the sea

"Can I get a lawyer?" Is all I managed to say before they cuffed me and started pulling towards the ocean

"You guys do know that I can't breathe underwater?" I looked at the guard beside me

"Don't worry we got that covered" The Naga took out a conch shell that produced a bubble that completely engulfed the cage I was in
