《The Battle Mage》Confession

The next day I told them that we'll be heading for the upper part of the mountain and they quickly agreed.
After 6 hours we finally arrived at the waterfall and nostalgia hit like a tidal wave, I couldn't help but hold onto the necklace she gave me. I decided not to tell them of the spot behind the waterfalls because I was afraid of the possibility that Arachne or Mira might find clues as to what happened.
"It's so beautiful here! " Rivera was first to comment.
"This is where you've been training for 5 months? Master? " Arachne asked me but I was spacing out and could only say "yes"
"How are we going to do this captain?" Clay was eager to train.
"Strip down to your pants and go to the waterfalls. Mira, Valeria help Talia. Rivera, heal Clay when needed. Arachne, watch over everyone. " I assigned everyone their jobs and everyone followed it.
Talia was still not used to having eyes so Mira and Valeria will have to teach her a lot of things before she can start using the few spells that I managed to unlock on the grimoire, this will also help Valeria in socializing with people.
I took off my robes and top, when everyone saw this, they stood there silent while Arachne and Mira resisted the urge to look at the scars that my previous stay here left behind.
"Captain...your body... " Clay asked after struggling for a minute.
"Oh this? This is nothing" I smiled as I started climbing up the waterfalls, it wasn't that high so after seven minutes, I was on the top.
"I'll cut down wooden logs and let them flow into the river, your job is to cut them down as they fall down the falls!" I shouted and after seeing Clay nod then did I start cutting trees into small pieces that Clay could snap.
After 6 logs I heard a chant for heal.
After 9 logs I heard the wooden log hit Clay's shield.
After 16 logs, Arachne shouted that Clay slipped and got hit in the head, I laughed when I heard this.
"Let's rest until Clay wakes up! " I shouted and when I looked down, I saw Clay getting fished by Arachne while Rivera was chanting a healing spell. Mira and Talia were out looking for edible fruits and vegetables, Mira should be able to take on a few Giant ants and Minotaurs so I'm not worried.
"Master...please let look at those scars of yours..." Arachne was a bit shaky.
"Stop calling me master, we're partners remember? "
"Then...Lyan, please let me look at those scars"
"Sure"
The moment those words left my mouth, Arachne quickly looked at my scars and touched them gently...

"Arachne, are you really fine with this?" I asked her
"What do you mean?" She was still touching my scars.
"I mean, aren't I taking you and Mira all for myself? I know polygamy is accepted but I just selfishly claimed the both of you..." I didn't ask them if they were ok with it and there's Blue...
'I'm sorry Blue! I'm a weak husband!' I screamed in my mind.
'Blue?! Who is this Blue? master Lyan!!' Rea was screaming in my head but I've already gotten used to it
Arachne suddenly hugged from behind and laughed.
"You're worried about that? "
"Yeah..."
"You know Lyan, for someone as strong as you, you're actually quite a coward aren't you?" Arachne chuckled
"How so?" I know I'm a wuss but I still need others opinion because they usually see something about me that I can't.
'Bitch! Fuck off, stop touching master Lyan!!' Rea was as possessive as ever.
"You're always ok with what we do and usually don't interfere with it yet at the same time you give us your attention and affection... It's really amazing how you do it without getting tired of our complaints and tantrums.."
"Really?" I didn't notice...
"Remember that time when ate Mira and me teamed up against you when we first saw Valeria?"
"Yeah"
"I thought for sure you'd hate us for prying a bit too much in your business but you didn't..."
"I think it was normal for you guys to ask, I mean aren't you concerned with what I'd do with the Valeria back then?" I chuckled
"Haha, that might be true but my point was that you considered what we'd feel you know?"
"To be honest, I only thought it was normal"
"You say it's normal, but for me and ate Mira...the fact that you consider our feelings really warms my heart..."
I didn't know how to respond so I only kept quiet...
"Then that time where ate Mira confessed... You got mad at her for doing something that would've cost her life right?"
"Of course I'll get mad..."
"You showed ate Mira how much you really cared for her, not just a maid or a friend since childhood but someone dear to you"
"Is that so..." It's the only words that came out...
"You fucker, I finally found you!" A voice that came from the forest destroyed the mood. Arachne did not like it.
"Who are you?" I stood up and looked at the forest, while Arachne got her lance ready, Rivera was panicking but she still stood in front of the sleeping Clay.
"Hahaha! Months ago this is the spot where you killed my father and his subordinates!" A werewolf that had half of his fur colored red came out.

"That asshole had a son?" I asked with sarcasm
"You fucker!.. " the werewolf was angry but soon after he laughed and said
"I'll let you live if you hand over that fox that you saved"
"She already left" the moment I said those, not only I but Arachne also felt pain in her heart.
"You're lying! Give her to me now so I can fuck her!" The werewolf's tongue came in and out of his mouth while he started breathing heavily.
"Oi...you looking to die?" I was pissed, Blue is my woman and I really hate people disrespecting the people I love.
"Hahaha! Then I'll have to torture you! Boys come out!" He laughed like a maniac and called out
"Arachne...I'm really sorry I hid this from you guys..." I didn't dare look back, who knows what Arachne is feeling right now after telling all those things to me...
Over 45 werewolves came out, all of them kept howling and laughing...
"Arachne please kill whoever gets past me..." I'm really pissed. I didn't bother putting on my top and just equipped Lea and Rea
'So you're the ones who injured master Lyan in the past....hehe...I'll kill you all! ' Rea got mad.
*ping* Rea has unlocked [sword aura]!
Sword aura is the manifestation of the sword consciousness' intent!*
A bloody red aura appeared above my right blade forming a larger blade above Rea.
'You will all fall to me!' Rea was now laughing like crazy, it was a bit sexy to be honest.
The werewolves noticed the strong murderous intent that Rea kept exuding and was naturally frightened.
"Don't be afraid! There's more of us!" The leader managed to regain their morale and led the charge.
Fire kept surging out of Rea as I infused her with [fire stream] to create [fire path].
I raised Rea up and slammed her down which created a fiery wave that wiped out half of the werewolves.
"Oi, where's your confidence now?" I asked
"Retreat!" The leader howled.
All the werewolf heard their leader and started retreating but I won't let them.
I quickly used [Dragon rush] and hacked the closest werewolf. This game of run and chase kept continuing on till only the werewolf leader was left.
"I dare you to disrespect Blue again" I started walking towards him.
His knees were weak and his arms are heavy, there's blood on his chest already. All he could do was land on his butt while begging for forgiveness.
"I-I won't ok? I'm sorry, I take it all back!"
"That's what I thought"
The werewolf was silent for a second before a bloody line appeared under his neck, his head fell down soon after. I looked around and saw what could only be described as a massacre, blood was everywhere, broken trees and deep pits could be seen here and there.
"Why is it so noisy...?" Clay woke up
"Shhh! Clay! Why do you have to wake up at the worst timing?!" Rivera whispered to Clay's ears.
"What do you mean?" Clay had no idea but he whispered anyways.
"Look around, captain did this when he got mad" Rivera urged clay to sit.
"What the....?" Clay was at loss for words when he saw a post-war scene right before his eyes.
"See? Now shut up, captain and ate Arachne are having a moment"
Clay pretended to sleep after hearing those words...
"Lyan..." Arachne didn't know what to say and neither did I but if I want this to work trust must be established.
"Trust me Arachne I wanted to tell you guys but...I couldn't find the right time"
"It's ok really...you know, ever since you came back from fallen mountain I sometimes see you looking at that necklace with a sad expression."
"You did?"
"Yeah...you know, you could always tell us your problems...we've been relying on you for so long...now it's your turn to rely on us..." Arachne said as she coiled her arms around my neck.
"You're not mad?"
"Of course not!"
"Thanks" I really am blessed to have them.
"I'll talk about Blue once Mira is here.." I said to Arachne.
After a few minutes the Mira, Valeria, and Talia came back covered in sweat
"We heard an explosion!...what happened here?" Mira asked as she looked around.
"We had some unexpected visitors" I laughed as I walked towards them.
"What?! are you hurt anywhere?!" Mira started checking my body
"Mira...I'd like to talk...just you, me, and Arachne"
"...ok" Mira saw me being serious for once so she knew this wasn't going to be easy.
"Let's go behind the falls" I called the two of them and they followed. I moved the boulder and saw the very same cave where Blue and I have spent days together, Arachne and Mira didn't ask any questions so I went inside. I told them everything, from the time I started training to the time where I saved Blue and finally the time where Blue separated from me. Arachne and Mira were quiet the entire time and only talked after I finished my story.
