《The Battle Mage》Seeing with one Eye

The next day, we decided to venture deeper into the forest. Talia was still training with Mira so they stayed behind.
We encountered groups of spectres but this time the subjugation group had a lot more teamwork than before so after a couple minutes passed, the spectres died.
Clay was still taking too much damage from tanking so I have to strengthen his body and teach him how to dodge the attacks.
Rivera, on the other hand, uses too much mana, she heals even the smallest scratches. I have to teach her when to heal and how to not consume too much mana.
Valeria's only problem was her lack of social skills, she could barely talk to her teammates. This will be a problem if she wishes something from her teammates like helping her take out a monster or asking them to defend her left or right flank.
Talia could sense presences now although quiet weak she could still distinguish us from each other. I've searched through the library for monsters that could help her see and luckily there is one right here in fallen mountain. It's called "scout", these scouts are human eyeballs that are as small as a golfball. They usually float around and are very hard to detect, once they spot an enemy they will let out a noise which can only be heard by nearby monsters.
I told them to have a one hour break since they were exhausted from the continuous fight while I will look for a scout.
20 minutes passed but I still haven't found anything so I decided to ask.
'Do you guys sense anything?' I ask the two women in my head
'I sense nothing master~' Rea was quick to answer while Raija ignored me.
I saw a cave and thought that I should have so I entered, it was dark inside so I lit up a fireball which floated near me. I could occasionally hear the sounds of monsters outside

'Master! above!' Rea suddenly spoke I looked up and saw something floating by the walls of the cave so I took a closer look, it was a scout!
I quickly jumped up to grab it but it was small and nimble, it went deeper into the cave so I had no choice but to follow it.
When I caught up with the scout it already called a few giant snakes so I had no choice but to kill them one by one before catching the scout that once again tried to run away.
I took the scout back to the camp and put it in a cage, and after a few minutes it called out to numerous spectres which helped in training team.
It was starting to get dark so I took everyone back to our makeshift base in borders of fallen mountain to rest. After eating dinner I called everyone to witness something.
"Talia just relax, it's gonna be okay" I tried to comfort the nervous Talia.
"I'll try my best! " she did a little fist pump and soon afterward I took her to the scout's cage with the grimoire in her hand.
"Now, stay focused and follow the steps the grimoire will show you" I instruct her as I started to attack the scout to weaken it.
"Yes!" Talia was still nervous but at least she's doing her best.
"By the power of the Grimoire, heed my voice and become mein power!" Talia chanted as a magic circle appeared between her feet and the scout's.
The scout glowed purple and tried to struggle but it was too weak so in the end, it started vanishing and entered the grimoire.
"Good job! " everyone quietly watched and congratulated Talia after she successfully captured the scout.
"Quickly call it out!" I urged her.

"Be my eyes! I call thee scout! " Talia chanted as the grimoire opened and released a smoke which turned into the scout from earlier.
"Can you see?" Rivera nervously asked, not only Rivera, everyone was also nervous..
"I-I can see!" Talia said as she covered her mouth, even though her eyes were covered in cloth it still did not stop the tears from rolling.
I was relieved, at first I thought it was not going to work but after seeing a rare grimoire that sends information to the owner's mind I knew I had to get it for Talia and catch a Monster that excels in eyesight.
The scout was floating just above her head, it was a bit hard to see but it was still there. Talia turned to everyone and kept observing every detail of their faces before muttering 'I see...'
She turned towards me
"Captain...?" She asked
"Congratulations" I said with a smile
"Captain! " she pounced and hugged me while she kept saying 'thank you' over and over again.
Clay, Rivera, and Talia cried themselves to sleep while Mira and Arachne happily watched. My robes were also wet with Talia and Rivera's tears but on my sleeves were dried snot that clay left behind.
And so I decided that tomorrow we will go to the spot where I trained for 5 months...

Reaching for One's Desire: Kane's Ascension
After living most of his life as a worthless orphan, Michael Kane only desired for the chance to make something of himself in this world of monsters and magic. In a world where only wealth and power mattered, he was literally at the bottom of the food chain. He fucking hated it. Always having felt that he was destined for something greater than what was essentially a beggar’s life, Michael held hope that things would change with the arrival of the Day of Gaia’s Gift, which happened exactly halfway through the year. It was the day in which everyone that was fifteen years old was given access to the System and was given a ‘Class’ depending on your aptitude, two if you were exceptional and lucky. It was his hope that he was given at least one class worthy of becoming an Adventurer, which would help him start his path to a life of wealth, fame, luxury and pleasure. Being an orphan that never knew his parents and having no one that he cared for nor that cared for him, it was not surprising that these were Michael’s goals. Little does he know, that he is destined for even greater things.

The Heroic Tales of Silas Horne
In the year 1858, the system came to the world. It brought with it beings from fantasy and mythology the likes of which the world had never seen before. In the American frontier, a place already known for being a dog eat dog world the system gave bandits the capacity for untold violence, not to mention monsters and system loving fanatics hell-bent on the murder of the innocent. But are they truly so innocent? No one knows what the system is or why it came, they do know one thing though. That the world post system isn't a place for a hero. Luckily for the world, U.S Marshall Silas Horne is no such man. ----- AN: This story is a litRPG inspired by "Randidly Ghosthound" and "The New World" but after reading many such stories and finding them to be a tad samey I decided to write this in a new setting, the Wild West. Also, my release schedule is chaotic, expect at least one 1000 word chapter each day but probably like two more will also be released.

Point of View
Adrian Shepherd is alive in Santa Monica. Successfully fleeing from the target zone of a nation-wide terroristic threat was not easy, nor did it come free. Adrian had to abandon parents who turned deaf ears, but even more heart-crushing was leaving behind someone who meant the world to Adrian, someone who he had shared his whole life with. Now, he survives with broken memories chasing him. Confliction turns him from wanting to live and wanting to die. Guilt wretches him as he craves the forgiveness he can never have. Maybe tomorrow will bring a brighter day, or maybe more problems. **Cover Photo is Temporary** **I would say the story has light gore and traumatizing events, to the point that I originally didn't check the content warnings. Be advised.**
