The next day, after my daily exercise routine someone knocked on my door.

"Is there something I can help you with?" I was still putting on my top after taking a bath

"A-Are you sir.Lyan Timberwolf?" asked the maid

"Yes"

"Please proceed to the magus Academy's arena" the maid requested

"Why?" It's so early in the morning and someone's bothering me, at least let me eat my breakfast.

"Princess Mileena has requested for a bout" the maid presented a scroll

"princess who now?" I had no idea who princess Mileena is, wait, a princess?

"You don't know princess Mileena?" the maid was exasperated

"of course I know princess Mileena" I lied

"Are you sure?"

"yes"

"Okay then, let's go" she led the way and I had no choice but to follow.

At the arena, there stood a knight fully plated in armor. Is this the knight in shining armor? too bad I'm not a heroine that needs rescuing...heroine??

Then it came to me, Grimm's warning... could this be it. I was relaxed at first but now I'm fully serious.

Do they know about me? I kept asking myself that. Perhaps they do and they are using this bout as a cover for killing me.

"So you're Lyan?" the princess asked.

"yea" I only gave a blank answer as I thought of ways to escape just in case things get out of hand.

"I'm Mileena Leonheart, I challenge you today as a knight and not as a princess, you best not underestimate me" she pointed her finger at me

"sure" I readied Rea and Lea.

'ahhhhhhhh! Master's touch' Rea quickly moaned out in my head. this is sexual harassment. If this happens every time we fight I might not be able to take it.

"Are you ready?" Mileena said as she raised her buster sword

"Start!" the maid acted as a referee.

with the help of a movement skill, she appeared right behind of me and hacked down her buster sword but I managed to block her with Lea while I swung Rea at her. I still wasn't sure if she was really that reincarnated bitch of a heroine so I was not going to go in for the kill.

She quickly blocked Rea with her buster sword but I didn't end it there and swung Lea at her. She jumped back evading my attack, she raised her buster sword and it gave off golden light before she slammed it down

"[Shockwave]! " she roared out as a golden crescent wave headed straight for me. It was too fast to dodge so I raised an [Ice Wall] to protect myself.

The [ice wall] shattered and she came rushing forward and attacked. I attacked with Rea but she would counter it her buster sword, afterward I would slash her with Lea but she was quicker and always managed to jump back.

I need to take her down, quickly.

"You're good" she chuckled.

"Right back at you"

"This seems like it's gonna keep on forever so why don't we give it our best shot in one attack? " the princess asked.

"Sure" I still haven't eaten breakfast.

The princess raised her sword above her head. The sword was engulfed in flames. I too held Rea with both of my hands while Lea was behind my back.

"Roar! Flames of Ifrit [Annihilation wave!] " she was the first one to release her skill. A golden flame wave headed straigh for me. I can't block it nor move to the side so I used [flame eruption] and burst up high completely evading her attack.

"[Fire path] " I roared out and wjen I swung Rea down, a fiery wave headed for her. All she could do was defend herself with her buster sword, my attack caused an explosion the moment it her.

"Princess!" The maid rushed to the pit my attack left behind.

The princess walked up from the pit. Her armor was cracked here and there while her helmet had a hole on the right side revealing her eyes and a small part of her cheeks.

'That's what you get for messing with my master!' Rea was laughing.

"You won" The princess said as she sat down and took off her broken armor and helmet.

"Are you ok?" It's no joke if I injured a princess.

"Don't worry, I'm fine!" She flexed her slim arms.

"May I look at your blades?" The princess asked

'No, no, no, no, no!! ' Rea kept protesting in my mind

"Sure thing" I quickly handed Rea an Lea to the princess.

"This is a fine sword!" She exclaimed in shock.

'Fine my ass! I'm more than fine! Now let go of me! Only master can touch my body! ' I can still hear Rea's protest.

"Since I looked at your blades, here look at my sword" the princess said as she handed over her buster sword.

It was quite heavy. It had an intricate and well designed lion in its sword guard and body.

"Let's go for another round?" The princess asked for a rematch.

"But your armor...."

"Oh don't worry about that" she laughed as she walked towards the center of the arena.

I was about to decline but

"Please fight the princess" the maid requested.

"Why?" She may be a princess but there's a limit to ordering people around and besides I'm still not sure of I can trust her.

"No one in the Knight academy around her age could fight on par with her" the maid explained.

"Then why not ask the otherolder knights?"

"She wishes to fight only those with the same age as her"

"I still refuse" I'm really hungry

"Please" she knelt down and bowed her head...

"Oi Rene! Why are you bowing!?" The princess saw the maid's actions ans rushed off to help the maid.

"Did you make her do this?!" The princess was angry.

"No" I replied with a blank face.

"Tch. Rene what did he do to you?!" The princess looked at the maid.

"Milady, he didn't do anything, I was the one who asked for an unreasonable request" the maid truthfully replied.

"Then...what is it? If its within my power I would help you"

"Its nothing milady, sir.Lyan already accepted it" this sneaky little...

"Is it true Lyan? "

"Yes..." I can only agree.

"What did Rene request?"

"Something personal, I can't really share it till she gives me her approval"

"Rene, come on tell me" the princess once again asked the maid.

"It's a secret"

After hearing this the princess got a bit mad and stormed out the arena.

"Goodbye sir.Lyan" the maid said before she left.

'Good ridance' Rea was still angry.

I just sighed and went back to the dorm to get myself some breakfast before meeting up the other members of the Burning Legion.

When I arrived at the meeting place the three of them were already there waiting.

"G'morning captain!" Clay greeted

"Morning you guys" I lazily replied

"May I know who these guys are?" Rivera asked me as she looked at the other 3 people who came with me.

"These are Mira, Arachne, and Valeria while these guys over here are Clay, Rivera, and Talia" I introduced them to each other.

Mira only returned their greetings and kept quiet while Arachne happily interacted with them however Valeria only hid behind my back.

"I grabbed a sub quest at the school before I left so today's mission wil be to subjugate 50 spectres, Mira, Arachne and I will watch over you guys while you kill the spectres" I announced

We quickly left for Fallen mountain and after 5 hours we arrived at the forest in the outskirts of the forest.

"Okay, like I said you guys will group up and subjugate the spectres, we will only step in if it gets dangerous, Mira please teach Talia how to sense her surroundings." I assigned their jobs while Mira started teaching Talia how to sense presences.

Arachne and I monitored the subjugating group. After a few minutes, we came across a group of spectres. There were 4 of them, they should be able to take it but contrary to my expectations only Valeria survived the fight. Clay knows how to tank the attacks but Rivera couldn't keep up with the damage and in the end she exhausted her mana, soon afterward Clay was taken down. Valeria manged to fight off the 4 spectres and won, seems like I'm gonna have to work these guys hard.

After resting for an hour, they continued with their mission and by the end of the day, they've killed 13 spectres. I cooked the demonic rabbits I caught while reminiscing the memories with the woman I love.

"Captain this is sooo good" Clay said as oil dripped down his lips

"Yeah, this is the best rabbit I've eaten" Rivera said as she munched down on the rabbit.

"Come on eat and rest, I'll be first watch, Clay, you're second watch" I said as I bit off a piece of meat from the cooked rabbit.

That night everyone had a rabbit in their dreams some were playing with them while some were...wolfing them down.
