I looked down and saw droplets of my tears fall one after the other.

"You should by now that I don't take in mistresses, only wives" he said as he raised my chin up.

"I love you too Mira" he said as we kissed.

After a while, our lips finally parted and he pulled me into his embrace. I could do nothing as I was still shocked and was still processing everything that happened.

Lyan chuckled as he pulled me back to the horses and we both leave the pond to catch up with our group.

While Lyan was heading back to their castle the academy's break was over and a new semester began.

"Okay, you are all 2nd years now and as I've said before since you are now 2nd years, you will form a five-man party. Tomorrow at 1 o'clock you will choose from over 100 young warriors your age, these young men and women are from poor families who can't afford to go to a school they desire. We offered them to join the Magus-Adventurer's aid program wherein you will lead, protect, and train them for 2 years. Of course, it's their choice if they want to stay with you after 2 years" Ms.Lucia explained.

"Excuse me MsLucia but Lyan is still not here" Chris stood up and said.

"*sigh* I've just received notification from his parents that he had a fight with a fire elemental and had to recover, but don't worry he's fine now and he's on his way here." Ms.Lucia said as she massaged her head with her hand.

"Did he win?" Chris was worried about his friend but he was still curious.

"He did" Ms.Lucia answered with a poker face.

Everyone was silent, Lyan fought against a fire elemental and even won, how strong was he?

Chris and his group were happy while the others were distressed.

The next day everyone from 2nd-year class A was now standing on-stage while 100 students were patiently waiting to be chosen.

"These are the students from class A, they will choose 4 people amongst you to become part of their team. One student is still on his way back here so those who were not picked will have to come back here next week." Ms.Lucia explained.

Everyone from class A went through a lot of documents. On these documents were detailed descriptions of the student's personality, ability, and elemental traits.

After 4 hours the 100 students were now less than 20, some of the students who weren't picked chose to back-out and leave.

"Everyone who wasn't picked, come back next week." Ms.Lucia announced and left the stage.

"Hey Rivera, if we aren't chosen next week, we'll lose all our chance to save our families." A man with a shield and sword spoke to his friend.

"Yea...come on Clay, we can't give up!" The woman named Rivera replied to the man named Clay.

"Yea..for our families...hey Talia? You've been quiet for a while now, something wrong? " Clay asked another woman who was wearing a hood and had a black cloth covering her eyes.

"Clay...I heard that the last student is named Lyan Timberwolf the son of Ryan the swordsmaster..." Talia said.

"A noble? I wonder if he will pick us?" Rivera muttered

"Highly unlikely, remember those men of class A? They only picked good looking women except for that Reindhart guy." Clay said as pointed at Ricard, Butch, and his group.

"Talia also got picked but they kicked her out the moment they learned that she was blind..." Rivera said as she looked at Ricard with anger.

"It's fine, I highly doubt I'll learn anything from him anyways." Talia said as she waved both her arms.

"Owwww, my Talia is mature and strong!" Rivera said as she hugged Talia

"Come on guys, let's go to the dorms the Magus academy provided us" Clay called the two women.

"Let's go!" Rivera said as she pulled Talia.

Meanwhile in the Central City Leonheart Castle

"Is there anyone around my age who can defeat me?" A knight said as the knight walked away from the training ground filled with unconscious young men.

"Princes Mileena, you should stop this and act more ladylike!" A man said to the knight.

"Come on councilor Raker this is none of your business" the knight took off her helm and underneath it was a beautiful woman's face, her hair was short and golden in color.

The counselor could only shake his head and leave.

"Princess Mileena, I heard of a young man who defeated a fire elemental alone" a maid said.

"Oh? Tell me about this young man" Mileena's curiosity was piqued

"His name is Lyan Timberwolf and he studies at Magus academy"

"The son of dad's friend?" Mileena gave it a quick thought before replying.

"Then, let's go to Magus academy, I wish to have a fight with him"

The maid nodded and left with the princess.

We arrived back at the dorms and quickly unpacked our stuff it was already midday when we were done so after eating lunch, Mira, Arachne, and Valeria went to Mira's room to rest while I went back to the blacksmith. Yeah...Valeria also came, I'm gonna enroll her here.

"Master!" I called out as soon as I entered.

"Oi, Kid, heard ya were injured" Master said as he came to the counter

"Yea, that fucker packed a punch" I replied as I scratched my head.

"Kid, the stuff you wanted is out there at the back. What are those things for?"

"Those?? It's for picking up women" I laughed

"Sure, believe what you want. I personally think it's a waste of good materials" he said as he sighed.

"How much is it? " I asked.

"2 white gold coins, those heaps of metal and dragon bones you gave us were not easy to use"

I quickly brought out 2 gold coins and paid the fee.

"Your filthy rich, kid" He said as he led me to the back door.

"I saved up" I laughed

I asked master to make a large bathtub, parts for a motorcycle, and the parts for a car. I was happy the moment I laid my eyes on them, I designed the motorcycle and car engine to run on magic. All that's left is to assemble them and put wheels on them.

I put them all in my storage bag and walked around town to look for repairmen. I finally found one after 3 hours of looking, I told them to give it a full repair and paint. They told me it would take a week so I agreed and gave them the location and the keys to the mansion and left for the dorm.

The next day

"Lyan! You're finally here!" Ms.Lucia said as she walked towards me.

"Oh, hi Ms.Lucia!" I waved my hand

"It's time for you to pick your teammates! " she replied

"My what now?" I had no idea what she was talking about.

"Did you already forget?!" M. Lucia was fuming with anger

"I'm sorry" I apologized as I looked down.

Ms.Lucia only rubbed her forehead with her fingers before explaining it to me.

"Go to the Academy's stadium and wait there, I'll go and ask someone to call those who chose to stay"

According to Ms.Lucia, some of those who registered backed out and only three people were left. All I had to do was interview them and see if I can take them into my team, there's also the choice of rejecting them.

I went to the stadium and soon after three people walked in. One man and two women. They sat in a seat while I looked at their files.

Clay Asval, a young man aspiring to be a knight, he's from a poor remote village at the southmost part of our country.

Rivera Green, female, has the light element and aspires to be a religion of light priestess. Also from the same village as clay.

Talia Crystal, female, has no elemental affinity, and blind, she will do any job you ask her to. Same village as Clay and Rivera.

'Wait, that blind girl over there, there is something in her...' in my mind Raija suddenly spoke.

'True, I also feel something inside her...' This time it was Rea.

These two were quiet over the past week that I almost forgot about them.

'What is it?' I replied in my mind

'Is that so...' Talia doesn't really seem like a bad person so there's no harm in taking her in.

"Yea, I'll take all three of them" I said as I closed the files.

The three people were happy as they hugged each other, seems like they're good friends.

"Since you've accepted them you will be a team from now on although you are lacking a person to make it a 5 man-team" Ms.Lucia explained.

"About that..." I said to her

"Mira? Since she's your personal maid she can't be counted as a team member and as for Arachne, she's your partner so she also doesn't count" Ms.Lucia denied my suggestions.

"Then how about her" Valeria would count as the fifth person on our team.

"Valera....she has no last name? Enrolled since yesterday by...Lyan..."Ms.Lucia read a form I presented her.

"...okay, she will be the fifth" after convincing Ms.Lucia for an hour she finally agreed.

"Next week you will officially be team 14 called?" Ms.Lucia looked at me

I thought for a while before replying. "Team 14 The Burning Legion!"

"You will be a given a mission next week, in that week, please prepare everything you need." Ms.Lucia said as she gave me a paper with the mission details.
