"Sleeping powder was spread all over the camp! " Valerie explained

"How do you know? " I didn't smell or ate anything weird, so this baffles me

"This powder was made in the undead's castle, it has a slight odor that is undetectable to humans, beastmen, and monsters. I've seen it and its effects too many times to know what will happen next" Valeria quickly explained

"Is there a way to wake them up? " I need to wake everyone up, fast. Who knows when they'll attack, I will have to fight them alone.

"No, it's a combination of hundreds of herbs. It was so effective but in exchange, the duration was lessened to just 5 minutes" Valeria patiently explained

So basically it was only for quick jobs, but the question is, who is their target.

Dad? the generals? No.. Although getting the head of the generals was important why use it now? There were tons of opportunities in the past but why now?

This only happened when Valeria came so it's pretty obvious.

"Valeria, Stick close to me. Let's go to your Tent! " I pulled Valeria by the hand and started running towards our camp.

"Over there! "Valeria suddenly shouted and pointed at something behind the tents close to Arachne's and Valeria's

We slowly made our way and hid behind a few crates, there we saw 6 undead wrapped up in black cloaks.

"Where is the half-undead? " [undead 1]

"We don't know, all we saw was this monster"[undead 2]

"How come the monster's awake? " [undead 3]

"We saw it struggle when we entered their tent"[undead 3]

"Tch can't-do anything about it now, kill it and leave, the sleeping powder's effects are starting to wear off" [undead 1]

Like hell I will let them kill Arachne and they also kept calling her 'it' which made me even more pissed off.

I used [storm dash] and quickly killed off the undead closest to Arachne before moving onto the other but the other undead had quick reactions and jumped backward.

"Who the hell are you?! " [undead 3]

I didn't reply and cut off the chains on Arachne's arms and legs.

"Are you ok? " I quickly asked Arachne

"I'm fine Master, thank you for saving me" Arachne quickly thanked me and wove a black whip.

"Tch kill them both as quickly as you can! " [undead 2]

The moment those words left the undead's decaying mouth they immediately rushed towards us, on this 2 vs. 5 they probably thought they had the advantage.

But clearly they were mistaken as quickly infused rea with [holy light] blinded the 3 undead charging at me, they had no choice but to stop and cover their eyes due to the brightness.

I used this chance and infused lea with [Ice lotus] before throwing her to one of the undead, Lea impaled the undead on the ground before being encased in an ice lotus.

The undead noticed that they won't win this battle so they started retreating.

I used [storm dash] once again to chase after one of the undead and took lea along the way from the ice lotus

I appeared right in front of the undead and swung down rea infused with [holy light] but the undead managed to jump back in order to evade it so I could only move forwards to give chase.

The undead was good at evading as he managed to evade each strike time and time again, I have to finish this fast as the other undead is getting farther and farther away.

I thought of something and wanted to try it out so I infused lea with [Storm dash] and threw it at the undead, the undead wanted to dodge but the moment lea left my hands she only left a blue streak of light before reappearing a few meters behind the undead leaving a gaping hole in its chest.

I didn't have time to pick up lea as I chased after the other undead. He clearly noticed me approaching and became vigilant but he didn't expect me to suddenly vanish, he didn't even have time to be surprised as his head fell onto the ground.

When I was finished with them, Arachne was also done tying up the two other undeads on her side.

"Tch... No choice! Do it now! "

[Undead 5]

The other undead quickly crunched something in its mouth before collapsing while a strange blood-red magic circle formed underneath the undead that spoke earlier.

"This is bad! Get back Arachne! " I shouted out to Arachne who was close to the two.

Arachne reacted rather quickly and hid behind my back before placing a black web shield she wove from her threads in front of us.

"Hahaha humans you will die along with us! Witness the item our lord undead king has bestowed upon us for this very mission! "

The undead who was in the magic circle laughed maniacally while the other turned to a blood pool that was absorbed by the magic circle.

"I call upon thee by the use of my companions blood and my Life, Gate of hell [Anthrox!] "

A gate riddled with bones and chains appeared behind the undead, the gate opened and showed the sides of its doors which were covered with hundreds of razor-sharp teeths before gobbling up the undead.

" I Anthrox has received thee and his companion's sacrifice, Both lives equal to a single demon. I summon!

[Flame Elemental!] " The gate spoke and opened after finishing its sentence.

A 10-feet Fire elemental came out from the opened gate, it had the face of an oni and its body was burning red while its lower body was composed of flames swirling around like a tornado.

A fire elemental's level is about 200, this fight will not be easy. We'll just have to keep it busy till the others wake up, the question is will me and Arachne be able to handle it?

"I have fulfilled my part! " The gate said as it faded.

The Fire elemental roared and charged at me. I quickly infused rea with [ice giant's strike], the icy mist around rea quickly expanded and formed a giant blade.

I slashed down at the Fire Elemental but surprisingly it grabbed rea with both its arms barehanded, I had no choice but to infuse lea with [ice giant's strike ] and let go of rea before using [dragon rush] and hit the fire elemental's back before ending it with a [smash].

The fire elemental was only moved by a few meters but Arachne attacked from behind it by smashing a boulder on its head. It was a clean hit but the from the rubbles a hand stuck out and soon after came its body.

The fire elemental punched out and a [fireball] came out heading straight for Arachne, I quickly took the shield and moved in front and blocked off the attack.

Arachne won't be able to take a single hit from that guy since she's just level 77.should I make her leave?

"Arachne stay at the back and only used ranged attacks! " she should be fine.

Arachne quickly complied and ran to the back.

When I was sure that Arachne was no longer in danger I quickly put the shield on my back and I equipped Rea back on my right hand.The fire elemental quickly moved and punched out with its left hand but I moved to side and slashed his left hand with lea which was infused with [Ice Lotus], an [Ice lotus] quickly formed around its arm and the weight brought the arm downwards but this didn't last long as the [ice lotus] melted quickly.

It wasn't like my blades were dull, it was because of the huge level gap even with the elemental advantage my attacks are still pretty weak.

I jumped back because his right arm came swinging but it only hit the ground, Arachne shot out an arrow with the darkness element, the arrow caused the movement speed of the fire elemental to slow down.

When I got far enough, I used [Ice lance] and just kept poking at him.

"Back up will soon arrive! "Valeri came shouting.

Before I engaged with the undeads, I asked her to watch over dad and the other generals, by the looks of it they were starting to wake up and are getting ready for a fight.

At the worst timing, the fire elemental went in a berserk state, it roared to the sky as multiple magic circles appeared on the ground and they kept spreading.

Torrents of flame suddenly erupted from the magic circle, I quickly evaded everything but Arachne was caught in an encirclement of magic circles.

I used [storm dash] and reached her.I wanted to push her away but the magic circle was about to erupt so I hugged her and turned around mid-air hoping that the shield on my back will be able to hold out against a concentrated eruption from the magic circles.

*boom* It was bright so I can only close my eyes and hope for the best

My body hurts, wait, Arachne is she safe? I turned around my head and saw her unconscious on the ground next to me.there's no wounds or burns on her body, I'm glad.

I struggled to get up... 3/4 my was shaved off in that 1 attack, one more strike and I'm out.

"Lyan! are you alright?! "Valeria rushed to my side and checked my body.

"Haha...after you kiss me I'll be better than alright" to be honest it hurts as hell.

"Go take Arachne and leave" I can't possibly let a woman fight for me.

"No, we'll both get out of here! " Valeria shook her head.

"You can't carry us both" I try to reason with her.

"No! You're are the very first friends I made" she rushed off.

"Idiot! " I roared out as I struggled to drink a health potion to recover my health back to full and drag Arachne behind a boulder.

I heard a scream so I quickly ran back but I saw Valeria impaled in the stomach by the fire elementals right arm and slammed her body on the ground.
