The next morning, I woke Arachne and proceeded to eat breakfast with everyone. I've got to find a way to get to the eastern forest.

At exactly 10 the horn resounded everywhere and we all went to the mountain, I looked down the cliff and saw Raigor along with all of the defenders and swordsmen form a semi-hexagon around the entrance of the mountain.

All the archers positioned themselves on the edge of the cliff along with the mages while the healers were waiting outside their tents, everyone was tense but they were battle-hardened warriors so this tension will only serve to motivate them.

"Lord Ryan! There is something wrong!" A scout hurriedly reported.

"What is it? "Dad was still calm

"In the eastern forest... The undead turned around and seemed to be chasing something" the scout immediately replied

"Why would they chase something in the middle of a fight? Is this some kind of diversion?... "Dad was thinking out loud but can't come to a conclusion.

"Dad let me go and investigate! "This is my chance

"Young master Lyan, I'm afraid it's too dangerous " the scout spoke

"What he said is true, who knows when the undead will turn around and charge"

"Dad, trust me"

".... Ok, but you must come back if something feels wrong"

"Thanks, Dad" I said as I immediately went down the mountain and passed through the defensive line.

"Milord, will young master be fine alone?" The scout said as he looked at the young masters back disappear into the forest.

"That kid is actually as strong as our elites out there and since he was a kid he's been a bit hard to catch, trust me I've experienced it"

"... Hmm? Uncle Ryan, where's master Lyan?" Arachne arrived along with Mira.

I saw tracks of the undead but after some more investigation I saw footprints of at least 200-300 move away from the horde and head for the easternmost part of the forest, I started to follow the trail and along the way, I saw a few broken weapons as well as magic stones.

I ran faster and finally, I was at the edge of the abyss canyon, the abyss canyon is one of the reasons why the undead cant move around the mountain. The abyss canyon was too deep and no one ever went down and lived to tell the tale, I kept moving along the edge and finally saw a girl.. Pale skin yellow hair that reaches to her waist, her clothes were torn here and there exposing most of her curves.

One of her hands was covering her chest while the other.. What is that?... Her other arm was equipped with a metal claw.

Wait her eyes... They were cyan but looked like that of a dead fishs'.

She was surrounded by a hundred undead.

"Valeria... How dare you betray.... Our Lord.... The undead king?! " an undead spoke.

"I am not one of you! "Valeria replied as she was shivering, clearly she was afraid.

"Hehe... Not one of us?.. You may be half human... But you're also half undead!..your heart has already stopped beating!.. "

"No! No! No! I'm human! Mom said so!"Valeria kept shaking her head as tears rolled down her eyes.

"Mother?... Oh, the king's concubine.... We must thank her for giving birth to a half-undead... But sadly we killed her after we retrieved you from her... "

"What?! nooo!! that's not true! "

"Hehe... Don't believe me? "The undead took out a head from his magic bag and tossed it at her.

I took out both rea and lea as I started mowing them down with a surprise attack, lea and rea were both infused with [holy light] so they cut through the undead like a hot knife through butter.

"What is happening?! " the undead earlier quickly asked his subordinates

"What a human?! here?! stop him! and transport Valeria! "

"As... you... wiishh... "

All the undead turned around to face me and slowly started walking while holding all sorts of weapons, that's it... Stick close to each other and come closer.

When they were close enough, I stabbed lea on the ground while I infused lea with [ice giant's strike] forming a gigantic blade which I used to sweep the undead down the abyss canyon.

"You.... bastard!"The undead from earlier started to curse.

"Right... Like you're any better" I replied as I pulled lea out of the ground and charged at him.

He took out his shield and saber and rushed at me and swung his blade but I used [storm dash] and moved behind him, I quickly used [smash] coupled with [burst] but he managed to block it with his shield.

The ground sank where he stood when I striked but his body still stood tall and strong... He must be at least level 150...

No, I shouldn't be disheartened. There's still Valeria to save.

I infused lea with [holy light] and threw her at him but he blocked with his shield, I arrived behind him the moment he blocked lea and striked at his back with rea infused with [ice binding].

"Too fucking naive! Think it will work twice?! " he said as he flexibly moved his arm and blocked rea with his saber.

But the moment rea hit his saber I vanished.

"What the?!"He roared as he frantically looked around.

He was shocked as he looked up.

I dove down while holding lea and with the infusion of [holy light] tore through the undead like paper, I quickly took rea and started chasing after the undead that took Valeria.

I managed to chase after them but, they put her in a cage attached to an undead griffin, heh good thing that things wings are all bones it shouldn't be able to... HOW COULD IT FUCKING FLY?!.

I kept cursing as I chased after them and when I found a good chance, I quickly used [flame eruption] and managed to reach the same height as them before using [storm dash] to land on the griffin.

I stabbed lea at one of the undead that was leisurely sitting while I swung rea at the one that tried to attack, I then stabbed the griffin causing it to fall.

I took the unconscious Valeria and jumped down, when we were near the ground I slowly used [flame eruption] to slow down our descent.

I started running back to the camp but there was already a great battle between the undead and the defenders, I have to get through somehow... I held Valeria with my left hand and firmly held her on my chest before rushing in with rea on my right hand.

"Hmm? a human! " one undead with a bow looked at us heading straight for him.

"Fuck off! I said as I tore him in half and continuing my charge.

"A human! Quickly get him! " another undead said and soon afterward a lot of them were hot on my back, they kept throwing spears and shooting Arrows but not even 1 managed to hit me as I kept zigzagging.

They managed to block my path and all of them tried to thrust their spears right through me but..

"[Ice lotus]! " the Ice Lotus broke their spears and was pushed back, I used that chance to use [dragon rush] to the farthest enemy I can reach.

I cut the undead knight's body 3 times before using [storm dash] moving away from the undead that was chasing me, the undead around here still haven't noticed me so I laid as low as possible and dashed through the battlefield.

Then an undead was almost 15 ft. tall with a saber as large as me and a shield that looked it has been through multiple battlefields noticed me and roared as he charged, each step it took made the ground shake.

"fuck this!" I cursed as kept charging forward he swung his saber sidewards and I slid on the ground while slashing rea at his foot but it had no effect.

So I hurriedly stood up and continued running but apparently, the giant undead don't want to let me go and gave chase

"Uhh.... Uhmmmm.... " she's starting to wake up, this is bad she might struggle if she wakes up to my embrace and that could lead to her death.

"Raaaaaaaaa!! "He just had to shout, and thanks to that she was now awake.

She was about struggle when I suddenly moved my lips closer to her face..... And slapped her, that's right I slapped her.

She was bewildered at first and was gonna cry but I told her to stop and look behind us.

"Eeeekk! "She cried out in alarm when she saw the giant undead chasing us.

She started shaking and kept repeating

"I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die" over and over again.

I gently pat her head and comforted her.

"Hey, it's gonna be fine, look at me. I won't let you die okay? " I said as I gave my best smile, surely I must've scored a few points right?

She looked at me.... And started crying harder, now I was desperate.

"Hey, hey nothing bad is gonna happen.trust me, I know it's the first time we met but you should at least know that I mean you no harm... "

I said as I looked forward, but I felt her hand... And claw clutch tightly on my chest. Seems like she calmed down at least, it hurts tho.

The noise that the giant makes suddenly disappeared as a black shadow flashed past us, the next moment the giant was already swinging its saber at me.

It surprised me but I still managed to react and used [storm dash] in time, it roared again and chased.

I can only use [storm dash] 2 more times before I run out of mana and mana potions are a bit rare so I don't have one with me right now, again the sound disappeared as a shadow flew past us. The giant undead swung his saber sidewards, I tossed Valeria up in the air as I slid in between the giant's feet and did a front roll before pouncing forwards and stabbing 2 oncoming undead and afterward caught Valeria in my arms princess carry style and continued running.

There I saw Raigor fighting off a few undead, I can make it in time.

I picked up the pace and arrived behind the defensive lines in time.

"Young master Lyan! It's good you are safe! "Raigor hurried to my side as I was panting and catching my breath.

"This lady is?... " he looked at Valeria who was still shaking and was holding on to me.

"Valeria, she's my friend "I replied

"Oh is that so? " Raigor had an 'I doubt that ' face.

"Behind you! " I hurriedly cast [Ice lotus] on Raigor which protected him from the giant's attack.

He immediately brought out his axe and shield to fight the giant.

"Young master retreat, Men! Listen we are now retreating go back and recover".

Everyone complied and after 15 minutes everyone was out of the war zone and was recovering at the Tents.

I was also recovering my mana while I asked the others to take Valeria to my tent so she could calm herself down.

"Master!! Why didn't you call us when you left?! " said Arachne as she was clutching onto me.

"Sorry I was in a hurry and had no time to ask you"

"Muuu master... Please don't do this again.. "Arachne puffed her cheeks

"Don't worry.. "I patted her head

"*cough * sorry to intrude but I think you forgot I'm actually here.. "Dad who was standing on the side suddenly spoke

Arachne hid her embarrassed face while I laughed dryly.

"So what did you see in there? " dad asked.

"They were chasing a girl"

""A girl? "" both Arachne and dad said at the same time.

"Yeah, I managed to save her and now she's in my tent resting "

"Ehhh, is that sooo? " Arachne... your eyes...they're not smiling.

"Well, let's question her tomorrow then"

"Ok, ahh I need some sleep..." I said as I laid my weary body on the bed.
