The content of the letter was about how the border walls had fallen under the assault of the demons and undead. My mom told me not to worry and just continue my study because they can easily protect the border.
My mother knew that I would know sooner or later so she took the initiative and sent me the letter because she knew I will rush back home if I never received any letter from them after the borders fell.
I started hating myself because Mom and Dad are fighting back home while I was enjoying my life here. I stood up and walked out the dorm without alerting anyone, I headed for the rooftop and started thinking about ways to get stronger. Then when I gazed into the distance I saw the fallen mountain...
"If I want to get stronger, I must fight stronger opponents... "[Lyan]
I whisper to myself when suddenly
"Master, dinner is ready" [Mira]
"I told you to stop calling me master"[Lyan]
"But you are my master"[Mira]
she said with a straight face
"You are my friend"[Lyan]
"Were"[Mira]
she said with a cold hard face...
"...I still think of you as my friend you know"[Lyan]
"Master... Things are different now, we're no longer kids"[Mira]
"So you want to move on to the next level? "[Lyan] I teased
"?! I - I didn't say it like that! "[Mira] I finally broke her Ice cold face and made her blush.
"Haha"[Lyan] I laughed as I ran past her.
"You never change" [Mira]
After eating dinner came another problem, only 2 people can fit into the bed, obviously I should be sleeping on the floor but Mira won't allow me to, Arachne also will always want to sleep beside me, but I cant let Mira sleep on the floor.
So I just asked Arachnee to make a hammock where I slept even tho Arachne kept complaining she wants to sleep beside me, under both my and Mira's persuasion finally slept beside Mira.

The next day after classes I told Arachne and Mira to go ahead without me while I talked to Ms. Lucia.
"I will be gone for a few months.... "[Lyan]
I said my while scratching my head
".. What?! "[Ms.Lucia]
it took a bit of time for Ms.Lucia to process what I said before asking in disbelief.
"I need to get stronger fast" [Lyan]
"So you heard about the border... I know your family is fighting to protect the northern borders... But aren't you a bit rash? Think about this a little more "[Ms.Lucia]
"My parents are fighting and I'm here... Living easy "[Lyan]
Ms.Lucia bit her lips before saying
"Let me talk to the principal" [Ms.Lucia]
She took out a small communication stone said some words before telling me to follow her to the principal's office.
The principal wasn't an old man like I thought but was a woman aging about 30 or so.
She looked at me then at Ms.Lucia before asking
"How do you plan to get stronger? Do you know how strong the demons that attacked the border? "[Principal]
"No I don't, but I still wish to help my family and as for leveling up I'm going to stay at the fallen mountain"[Lyan]
*sigh*"young man I know how you feel but we don't want to waste your talent, a dual elemental is rare you know. Going to Fallen mountain is as good as throwing away your life... Tell me your level.. "[Principal]
"Level 55"[Lyan]
after the fight with the statues, I leveled up to 55 which surprised me
"You're already 55?! "[Ms.Lucia]
It's understandable that Ms.Lucia would be surprised because those my age would be only around Level 30-35
"... If I'm not mistaken your only a first year? "[Principal]

the principal thought about something before saying
"Ok we will allow it on one condition"[Principal]
"What is it? "[Lyan]
I'm having a bad feeling
"You are given 6 months before moving to 2nd year right? Well, I need you to be back after 5 and a half, you must participate in the international battle royale"[Ms.Lucia]
"Principal! That's going too far! "[Ms.Lucia]
Ms.Lucia quickly interjected but the principal ignored her
The International battle royale was held once every 10 years. All educational establishments must send a representative for each year and let them stay in a dimension wherein they will stay for a month and must be the last one standing.Those who lose will immediately be transported out of the dimension so death rarely occurs.
"You will be the Magus academy's representative for the first years, do you accept? "[Principal]
"Ok"[Lyan]
I quickly agreed
"Lyan! Think about this carefully! I don't want you to die on the fallen mountain"[Ms.Lucia]
Ms. Lucia tried to convince but I already decided, but still, I felt touched by her actions
"Hehe young man, you seemed to have charmed Little Lucia here"[Principal]
"Mom!! Stop it! " [Ms.Lucia]
Ms. Lucia said before covering her mouth
"Mom? " [Lyan]
so the principal is Ms. Lucia's mom
"That's right young man I'm Sasha Rose, Lucia's mother"[Principal]
".... "[Lyan]
"Speechless? I know I am so beautiful and too young to be a mother right? "[Principal]
"Mom... Please don't embarrass me in front of my student please..."[Ms.Lucia]
Ms.Lucia said helplessly
"Student? "[Principal]
"I am her student"[Lyan]
"That's not what I meant"[Principal]
"? " [Lyan] a big question mark appeared above my head
*sigh*"anyway get prepared, you may now leave"[Principal]
After she said that I quickly left to prepare everything I needed
I can't take Arachne or Mira on this journey because I'm not sure I can protect myself there.
After I put everything I needed in my magical bag I started cooking dinner when I was done Arachne and Mira returned to my room so we all ate dinner together and I went to sleep while Arachne and Mira did the dishes.
I woke up in the middle of the night and silently went down on my hammock and went to the two girls sleeping on the bed, slowly I took out the letter and placed it in the table near the bed and tried to leave but...
"Master... " Arachne was sleep talking
I tiptoed till I was beside the bed and gently stroked Arachne's cheek. Thinking about how she will react if she discovered I left makes my heart ache, afterward I also looked at Mira, as usual, she was curled up like a little kitten. I brushed off the hair from her face and pocked her cheek, this was something I used to do when we were kids. After steeling, myself I finally walked out the door and rushed off the dorm under the cover of night.

But mankind was not so lucky, they died in droves to push back even a single apex. Something had to be done. Elves and man worked together to begin sealing off the worlds to protect mankind, to limit the ways in and out to better fight the apex off and keep their fellows safe. The ritual had adverse effects the likes of which neither the elves nor man could predict; the sealing of the worlds started slow, but the magic had never been done before, and in their ignorance it spread to completely cut the two worlds off from one another. It ejected the apex, and other magical being back into the Grey Realm, saving Erebus. At first the elves were content, they would find a way back once the apex were dead and gone. But the seal had done more than keep Erebus locked away. The powersource of the seal was magic itself, from both worlds, and it consumed it all greedily. The elves, weakened without their magic, crumbled into ruin, and the apex were free to hunt the other races of the Grey Realm. Two-thousand years later a strange phenomena is occurring and magic is slowly returning to the Grey Realm, and tears open that allow passage to Erebus. Thu'lain and a few elves must make the journey to fallen kingdom of the elves Anosora, in the hopes of reclaiming what was once theirs. They must face their nemesis the apex, and survive not only the species that have turned against them, but a terrible being left behind by the god to kill even the apex.
