Good thing I have my [night stalker] ability or else I would just walking blindly in the dark. Infront of me was the statue from earlier but it moved and looked at me with its blood red eyes

she roared shaking the entire cave...

What master said was true, you will have to pass a trial in order to receive the skill... I manage to compose myself and prepare for battle.

"You!"[Mia]

Mia screamed as she spun her web into a whip and sent it snapping at me, I barely managed to dodge it while weaving a spear out of the web and threw it at her. She caught it in her arms and dropped it on the ground before she made another whip on her other hand and started barraging me with her attacks...

I managed to dodge most of them but I received a few shallow cuts on my arms... I weaved a shield and used it to protect myself. Seeing that her attacks can't get through my shield, she wrapped a boulder with her whip and tossed it at me.

The narrow cave plus the boulder was a good combination, I barely dodged it by climbing up the ceiling and sticking my body close to the walls... She wrapped a larger boulder with her web and this time used it as a morningstar. I couldn't dodge in time and was struck hard... If it weren't for the shield I would've suffered more serious injuries.

I struggled to get back up but then she asked me a question

"Why go so far? Give up and don't disturb me ever again! " [Mia]

"I wish to be of use to my master so I won't leave until I that skill! " [Arachne]

I shouted as I weaved a bow and arrow, pulled the bowstring and attacked her

"For a Human? " [Mia]

she said the word human with a tone filled with disgust

"He's not just any man, he's the man I..l-lo.. I lo-... I like" [Arachne]

I can't believe I kept stuttering to say one word...

"What?! Listen girl take it from me that man will betray you! " [Mia]

"...... " [Arachne]

I looked at her and stood my ground clearly ignoring what she said

The boulder hit the net and bounced back at her.this caught her by surprise and was unable to dodge in time, she struggled to rise from the rubbles and could only sit down, her body filled with cracks. I thrust my spear into her chest.

"Haha... You can never... Find happiness as long as you're still part arachnid... He will only look for a human to mate with... He will throw you away...sooner or later... " [Mia]

She laughed as her body crumbled. A blackish energy came out of the rubble and entered my body... I felt most of my wounds heal and was transported back to the temple... Her final words kept repeating all over my mind and due to this I only listlessly stood on a corner. Rona and the others tried to talk with me but all I can say is

"I'm fine, I'm just tired" [Mia]

Then master came out of the portal with his body riddled with wounds... My heart ached whenever I saw master wounded so I threw what Mia said to the back of my mind. But what I didn't expect was that it would come haunting me back so soon.
