I cannot say much to convince you, can I? Remember the talk we had in the forest, during your trial? Ssil is a part of your life now and I don’t think I can change that anymore. But I don’t know what that serpent promised you, remember that it speaks with forked tongue and will try to gain as much control over you as possible. It could just be another trap.
As for that revelation, I don’t think I have any reason to not believe you. But it does sound uncomfortable. I will not abandon you, not after all this time. I would save you all over again, even if I knew that serpent was influencing me, because I know it was the right thing to do.
Please return home. We’re all worried. Faan and Elissa and me. Carstennus and Fiona came by many times and asked for you. I know how it feels not being able to tell people the truth, but I promise you, you will be able to carve out a life for yourself. Return home and you can get your first mark of approval. Wouldn’t that be great? You could take smaller contracts all by yourself. But after I saw the contract you did in Plirova, I think “smaller contracts” won’t exactly do it for you, will they? I think I’ll actually have to be afraid of you now.
