Another 10 days passed and Daron had finally bought the 4 Light-yellow grade herbs and was returning home in a carriage.

Over the past ten days, he had spent the morning doing combat training, after breakfast he did some extra stamina training which was not put into his schedule, but he still did so as a force of habit. After lunch, he would spend some time with William, Rachel, Tom and Fey.

At around 3, he would go to the Blacksmith Union to continue his lessons. Since he was only being taught the basics on how to start the bloomery, how much fuel to use for what material, how much air to pump into the furnace, and when to put in and remove the different metals.

Since he was just learning everything, he was only being taught in theory for 10 whole days. But, it was not too hard to learn everything for Daron, especially since Sirious could record everything. He did not need to be taught anything twice, and that was what slightly shocked the old blacksmith who was teaching him.

Now, however, was the time for him to reach 100 Internal Energy points and break through to Rank 2.

After calming himself down, he swallowed the herbs, one by one. This time around, he did in fact puke out the last one, and it took him even more willpower to swallow the herb again, since Karlos instructed him never to wash the herb since it would instantly dissolve. He had, in fact given a specific set of instructions for cases of vomiting it out, including swallowing it as quickly as possible, even with the vomit on it. [1]

Suddenly, he felt his Internal Energy increasing to 100, and then stopping for a second. During that second, the outermost layer of the Internal Energy suddenly completely froze over, becoming solid.

The very next second, this layer shattered and the Internal Energy felt like it had become stronger. At this moment, Sirious shown him his status.

With his advancement complete, Daron moved to where Knight Fals rested, which was a separate building, reserved only for the 3 official knights working for Intermediate Knight Zack.

"What? You broke through?" Fals exclaimed in utter shock. Gaining control over your energy might still be possible depending on your luck, talent and senses. However, buying and ingesting the herbs, along with the time it takes to regain control over you Internal Energy cannot be done in a mere 10 days.

"What? He broke through???!!!!" Lord Zack was in even more shock at this outcome.

While Zack was going insane with this news, Daron went for dinner and discussed his breakthrough with Tom, Rachel, William and Fey.

"What! You broke through again?!"

Over the month or so he had spent with the gang, he had grown quit attached to them, similar to how he was to Sirious, Joanne, the other orphans, as well as Anne.

Thinking about Anna, Daron's jovial mood was ruined once more as he recalled Joanne's words.

"Her name was Anna…"

He ended the conversation with the group and went to his room without actually eating anything.
