Chapter-45: Guts

"Where are you going?"

Lina asked Konan while she was following her on a hill.

Area of the hill is not that far from the forest she was in, but even with her body strengthing buff magic it was really hard to keep up with Konan speed.

Lina was breathing heavily. She would rest if she was running alone. But to do or say that in front of her junior she is feeling awkward.

It's not like she has convinced with Konan and Jin's plan but she is heavily curious about Konan's sudden strength boost.

By the way, she was unaware of Konan's illness. So, if she knew that, she would have surprised ten times more than now.

"There's an old man called Guts. I am looking for him."

"Ho, I am surprised you are interested in the old men. Quite a rare taste."

"Stop that."

Though Lina was poking fun, Konan shut her down with a cold voice. There is no way she will have that kind of taste. Compared to Jin that guy much crude and unsocial.

"Wow, Nina-hun become way too cold toward her loving senior. But don't worry, I know your heart and body belongs to me, hehehe."

'This lesbian!' Konan swore in her mind. But it is still good that Lina was a woman if it was a man who is sexually harassing her like that she would have cut there 'little brother'... at least would scare them by threatening. Of course, She wouldn't have minded if it was Jin.

"Be careful in front of that old man. He was a former member of 'Sirius Tomb', so he had some bad blood with Tower of Eden."

Former members of Tower of Eden and Sirius Tomb had bad blood between them, everyone was well aware of that. That bloodthirsty relationship was dimmed down when current Sirius Tomb master and the last Sect Master of Tower of Eden taken over their respective academy.

"Umm... That will be trouble. Those old fools are really hard to convince."

"Yes, but this guy is easy to convince."

"Oh, a friendly natured old man?"

Konan shook her head.

"No, among the old generation he was one of the ruthless ones. He never regards those who are weaker than him. So all I have to do is to beat him to co-operate with us."

Hearing that Lina frowned,

"Just how strong you have become?"

"Well, not much. Compare to Jin I am just a pawn."

"Pawn huh! Hope he really doesn't treat us as a pawn."

Lina is a prideful woman who doesn't like to be dominated by others. She wants to be a free fly.

"Time will say. Either way, even if you are treated like a pawn that doesn't mean you are the lowest of the hierarchy, in fact, you will feel lucky just being chosen by him."

Lina didn't speak anymore. She went to her own world. After shaking her head she thought, 'I already decided to uncover the power of this lass, just let everything go with the flow.'

Lina really didn't like Jin Tiger. But she respects him because of his some good trait. And start to acknowledge him when he won the national tournament despite being the weakest member of his generation. So, she has minimum trust on Jin that he won't abuse her.

Though Lina doesn't think it will happen, if Jin ever tries to court her, she will think thoroughly about that where she would reject every marriage without a second thought at this moment. That's because Jin possessed not only the good face but also a certain charm, and another reason is, if she is around Jin she will meet finest women.

"Mugah!"

Her face pounced onto Konan's back.

"Wah, little Nina, don't stop suddenly!"

She complained while rubbing her face.

"We are in front of his hut. And please don't call me Nina, now I am known as Konan."

"Changing name? I like to call you little Nina, see... my name and your name has similarity. Oh well, I didn't notice that it is a hut."

Lina looked at the hut which might be broken at any moment. The reason she didn't notice it because the branch of subspecies of trees was entangling the whole hut which makes hard to recognized if it was hut or part of the hill.

"Mr. Guts. Are you there?"

Of course, Konan knew that he was inside the hut, but as a form of courtesy, she asked that anyway.

Couple breath later an old guy showed his face. Though he is old, he has really buffed muscle which really not go with his age.

By the way, his age was 140+. You can say he may live another hundred years if it is normal death.

"Who are you?"

His rough voice resounded in the hill.

"My name is Konan. And she is my senior Lina Glass. We are here to seek your help."

Konan introduced herself and Lina in short.

"Go away, kids. I do not have time to play with you. I have abandoned the real world life and trying to relax here for the rest of my life. Do not be a bother."

Guts didn't even ask the contain of their request and shoo them away.

"Is that so? But you are chosen by 'him', so I believe you are a valuable asset. So, you must listen to him even for once."

Konan told him with a chilly voice.

"'Him?' Who is he? Whatever somehow I don't like your attitude, even if you are the heavenly envoy, I could care less about your invitation."

Konan intentionally took the arrogant attitude to riled this guy up. That's the only way to make him listen.

"Oh, but you will have to follow us, even if you are unwilling."

Konan haughtily told him.

"Ho, I suggest you go the heck from here before I beat the out of you, you ignorant fools!"

The anger of Guts was smoking out from his facial expression. If it was a male he would have attack already.

"Oi, isn't it bad? I think you should talk to him more politely. No, matter how strong you are, you actually facing an old monster don't overes..."

While Lina was whispering in Konan's ear she cut her off, and told her with mocking and loud tone,

"Heh! Old monster? Good for me, I know the way to tame the wild monster."

Hearing that, a tremendous amount of magic power from Guts was pressuring on both of them.

"Oh, crap!"

Lina mutter while twitching her face.
