Chapter-42: Seal of Eternity

She was strong.

Not less than current power I got. No, it wasn't only strength wise, she is also experienced in fighting.

My heavy breathing was proof of that.

If I wasn't an immortal, I would have died in her hand nine hundred ninety-nine times. In exchange, I could have killed her three times. That much disparity was between us.

I don't know why human die. Because gods don't want to violate their realm by mortals impure desire, because of differences between god and human, or because we were just bound by principles of heaven, hell, and earth. I don't know.

"That's because gods love human."

She answered her own question while smiling. Her smile, was it cold? Was it warm? I couldn't understand the color of her smile.

"Because god love human? Well, that's not a new quote to hear."

I replied to her. How many times did we hear the same thing in religious class?

"It's true Creation God create human, but other gods fall in love with a human because they show various kinds of emotions, traditions, creations etc, etc. Gods finally got their freedom from shackles of boredom while watching over the human. But it wouldn't be same if human stop dying. Human wants to achieve many things in their life because their life is too short. That's why if human became immortal their ambitions of achievement on many things in their life will be slow down, and ultimately every development will be slow and boring. Human posses both good and evil desire more than any being that's why they will be corrupted more. longer they live and because of that end of an era will be soon enough. Gods will fall into another eternal boredom and along with human they will also start to corrupt and nothing but demise will happen in heaven. hell and earth. So that's why, as a form of love, gods granted human to the ability to die."

Her beautiful black eyes gazed straight at my eyes.

"That's why you are a problem. Your technique also a problem. Because of your power human will lose the fear of death and always will be in front of your door. This contract is not bad. In our sect contains only 4000 members. I will have 1000 left in one go contract, or I should say in the advantage of the contract.

"But why can't I revive 5000 before three years?"
