《Night Terror》News: It's not you, it's me...

Howdy all,
Firstly, sorry to leave you all dry like this. Originally, I originally only released for feedback, and man, I got a lot
"> You guys reading have been the biggest source of motivation to keep it going until now, so once more, thanks for reading
I'll still be writing the story and will post it here in full once it's completed. I just won't be posting new chapters indefinitely.
My reasons for stopping:
- I have anxiety and other medical issues going on that are stopping me from "getting in the groove", as it were. Hard to concentrate and edit, etc. 2 medical professionals have both separately recommended I stop posting to help out with my health for now. I'm not dying or anything, just multiple little things combining into one big mess.
- I originally never intended to do a release like this - I posted the initial chapters all in a block, without knowing it would end up on the front-page (I got here from a bookmark from about 3 years ago, so I never actually saw it until chapter 12ish
). My expectations on lifetime readers was around 10, who would be the people I asked on the forums to 'proof read' it, with the full story dropping with promotion shortly after it finished. I tried to keep it going for the people who were reading, but I'm not currently in a state to do it.
- I'm creatively dry at the moment - It feels like all my juice goes into making the re-writes on old chapters work. My original stuff is quite threadbare with some fight scenes being especially empty, so I often spend most of a day 'fixing' chapters. By the time I'm done, I don't want to look at words for a little while
I've only written another 1.5 chapters since I started posting, so hopefully this will allow me to focus on actually writing it and worry about everything else later.

- Having a lag time between posting and where I'm at in the story is hard - I've accidentally posted a few spoilers simply because my head is spinning carrying on two timelines (mine and the readers). Even in re-writing, I'm having to fix continuity issues that crop up because I'm mis-remembering where the story is at.
- The treatment I was expecting to help get me back into my groove hasn't been as effective as I'd hoped. Actually, it's caused even more issues while fixing some and was the final straw that broke the damned camel.
Hearing all of your feedback has helped me greatly, so hopefully you'll like the full story when it gets done
">
Cheers,
- Josh (aka WirlWind)
PS - I'm kind of writing this quickly, so feel free to ask me to clarify anything I've missed out on or explained poorly.

Empathic capacity of a teaspoon
Reincarnating with the gamer interface was all a part of the plan, being reborn as Ron Weasley not so much. It was something I could work with, sure. Magic is great! But as I would soon learn, it had the tendency of introducing a plethora of other issues.

Stolen by the System
Lost. Vulnerable. Alone. What would you sacrifice to get home? Kidnapped on the cusp of graduation, Jake is dumped into a deadly world of levels and magic. His dreams shattered again, he’s left with a choice: fight or die – and Death won’t let him go that easily. A savage wolf, a horrific secret, and an abhorrent quest make day one the second worst day of his life. Whatever bastard is pulling the strings is due one hell of a reckoning. On the plus side, there’s magic, and Jake’s got the stats to master it. Spells not included, but, hey, creating spells and programming are basically the same thing, right? At least Spellcrafting is slightly less suicidal than trying to stop the encroaching dungeon spawn threat. Because why wouldn’t there be an apocalypse in progress. All the more reason to find his way back fast. Unfortunately, the path home leads right into the heart of danger. Fighting monsters, dungeon delving, solving puzzles – whatever it takes, Jake is finding his way home. He’ll need allies. Powerful allies, like a trainee ranger who struggles to find her hairbrush. Pointy ears, executive dysfunction, and a perilously gutsy moral compass – what more could one want in a Companion? Alas, beggars can’t be choosers. He needs every edge he can get. Going home means finishing his quest. That quest. The quest that doesn’t deserve completion. Save your father, save the world. Update Schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday. Temporarily ad hoc.

The study group
Elyza wanted to be a good person. She thought that maybe a change in careers would help that. I mean, a con artist isn't exactly the best profession to be when you're trying to be good. By some stroke of luck (or misfortune, depends how you look at it) she finds herself traveling with 4 students of the famous Caltraix academy. The worst part, she's been assigned to protect these idiots from harms way. Great, just what she wanted. A novel based on the events of my groups Dungeons and Dragons campaign.
