《The Joker, The Trickster, and the Magician》The Hunt Begins

There were six soldier corpses in this room, Wolfram lifted them all up and searched for any cards. As he is right now, he totally believed what he read in the dark card.
He was feeling extremely happy, if his guess is not wrong then all the people in the world are affected by that earthquake. The world must be in chaos right now which is why no one came to save these soldiers after such a long time. He didn't know how much he was unconscious but he guessed that it's most likely one day or two days at most. He didn't have any device so he could only guess.
Fortunately, his efforts were worth it as he found four dark cards hidden under the corpses. two of these cards had the word 'Strength' on them, as for the other two, one had 'Perception' and the other had 'Speed'.
Wolfram picked them all up and inspected them, he didn't know how to use them or activate them so he took out the main dark card and started tapping, trying to see how to profit from these stat cards.
After spending a couple of minutes trying to figure this problem out, he finally found the solution, which was something rather unexpected.
He thought he needed to speak some words or swipe the cards in the air but in reality, he just had to crash them using little force. As he did so, the first dark card, the one which had 'Strength' written on it, was shattered and transformed into a weird black light that flew to his head with lightning speed. All he saw was the shattering of the card then surge of strength inside his body.
He checked his stats again and was ecstatic when he saw his Strength increase by 0.3. Without any hesitation, Wolfram crushed the three remaining cards, gaining those sweet stats that boosted his power.
Apparently, the amount of stats that was added was not fixed, the second Strength card only gave him 0.2 strength, as for the other two, one gave him 0.2 speed and the other gave him 0.4 Perception.
"Ah Ah! A wonderful feeling! I've missed the feeling of freedom, to be able to finally walk again ah ah!!! What is wonderful you say? This is wonderful! I bet the situation outside is even more breathtaking!"

Wolfram laughed happily as he saw the corpses around him, he was a notorious lunatic very infamous for his love for fighting. He didn't love killing weaklings but absolutely loved and enjoyed fighting and killing strong fighters and experts.
Of course, he isn't some hero and doesn't care about humanity or whatnot, he just did whatever he wanted and this led to that which finally ended up in him being a world-class criminal that was sentenced to death at last... only to be left here by that commander, who most likely fled for his life.
"He must not have escaped far... hehe I'm looking forward to seeing the look on his face when I show up... AAAHHH I really can't wait, my blood is boiling!"
After one final look at this room, which was supposed to be his final resting place, he pushed the final boulder that was blocking the entrance and exited the room at last. What welcomed his sight was a long gloomy corridor where the light was flickering every few seconds, making this place look like some kind of a horror film scene.
Wolfram didn't leisurely walk around, he held the rifle and proceeded down the corridor without making any loud noises. He stepped on his toes skillfully and calmed his heart while breathing smoothly as to not attract attention. The soldiers here were veterans and not like the bodyguards you find in hotels.
As he was sneaking soundlessly through that area, he heard a weird sound that alarmed him a bit, he kept his calm and surveyed the surroundings, ready to fire at any moving target but what appeared next startled him.
It was none other than a red card that was more or less similar to the dark one showing his stats but this one displayed this test:
*[Sneak Lv1] acquired! +0.1 Card Points.*
The card remained for a few seconds before it vanished on its own. Confused and still startled, He took out the dark card to see what happened only to discover that his CP did indeed increase by 0.1. He didn't use them and tapped on the new golden word that appeared, which was none other than *Skill(+)*.
He found this [Sneak] skill and as the name implied, it allowed him to remain undetected as he sneaks around.
'It seems I can gain CP through skills too, great!'

While grinning happily, he put away the dark card and continued his silent sneaking.
As he walked for twenty some meters, he stumbled upon two soldier corpses that were stabbed in their neck and heart respectively. Wolfram checked their corpses and concluded that they were stabbed by a sharp and long object, a simple military knife isn't capable of such a feat, especially the soldier who got stabbed in the heart, the wound was too deep.
He searched for any stat card but unfortunately found none, so he proceeded onwards while still keeping his guard up. He was unconscious when they brought him to this facility so he didn't even know where he was, what was certain is that he's in Japan, as for the exact location, he was oblivious.
After walking a bit more, he found a reinforced metal door similar to the one he saw in his room. It was already opened and what made him not rush there immediately was the sounds coming from inside.
It was crunching sounds that were disgusting and unpleasant to the ears, Wolfram soundlessly got closer to the door and leaned his head a bit to see what was going on.
The first thing his eyes landed upon were two green midgets on their knees, seemingly busy devouring the gory corpse of a fallen soldier. They were grabbing his intestines and eating it as if it was something delicious.
Wolfram wasn't surprised when he saw them, they were similar to the creatures named goblins in games, with their green skin, short height, and ugly looking faces.
They had sharp and pointy yellow teeth and big noises, they literally couldn't be uglier than this. They were wearing dirty loincloths that hid their dangling genitals and had small daggers hanging on their waists. They didn't notice Wolfram, who did his best to not emit any noise, even if he did a bit of noise, he was sure they'll not discover him for they were too focused filling their bellies.
'So there are monsters.... it's going to be fun from now on.'
He stared at the back of these two goblins with a chilling smirk and bright eyes that didn't fail to show his rising excitment. He had always been a lawless person, with such monsters present on Earth, it's no wonder that everything will change, it'll be survival of the fittest, where the strong rules and the weak dies, of course.
Without further ado, Wolfram no longer hid his body, he put the rifle to the side and dashed straight at the two goblins with fast speed. He was an assassin who is adept at sneak attacking his targets, although he didn't like killing weaklings, he was forced to do such a job to survive.
The shining military knife was skillfully grasped by him as he slashed at the back of the goblin's neck, he didn't even let them react before he ruthlessly aimed for their vitals.
The room wasn't big, to begin with and the distance separating the two parties were merely four meters, he crossed that distance in two seconds with large strides and landed a fatal attack on the weak goblin, whose flesh was cut easily by the military knife.
Feeling the nostalgic feeling of the flesh being cut and stabbed by the knife, Wolfram let out an excited shout as he violently kicked the body of the injured goblin and turned his focus to the other one, which shrieked loudly and grasped its dagger, clumsily waiving it at him.
Seeing the incoming danger and feeling the thrill of the battle, which he hadn't experienced in a long time, Wolfram laughed as he slashed the dagger at the attacking goblin, cutting his arm which was swinging its shabby looking weapon.
The goblin painfully wailed as it dragged its body to escape from this sudden enemy which appeared out of nowhere. It struggled to get out of the room only to be kicked in the stomach by Wolfram, who put his foot on its chest, immobilizing it while leaning his face closer to the goblin's head to get a closer look while saying
"Aren't you an ugly motherfucker? I was expecting your fighting to compensate your ugliness but it didn't seem like the case *sigh* what a true shame..."
He shook his head helplessly and crushed the goblin's head with his foot, which had an absurd strength after absorbing the Strength Cards.
The Dark Card informed Wolfram that the average strength of a male adult is 1, he had 2 points in Strength which is more than enough to pulverize the head of a goblin, which is a weak creature that is at the bottom of the food chain.

Rise of the Business [Class]
'Rise of the Business [Class]' is a story about a world where humanity ended up fleeing through space, after suffering several great disasters at home. On arrival we crash-landed and were soon attacked by magic wielding civilizations who learned how to deal with our weaponry with a speed that belied their seemingly simplistic nature. We were lost. But eventually we survived by abandoning technology and adapting. But this tale takes place thousands of years later, after humanity has had time to rise and falter more than once. It tells of a time where we adapted too much, focusing only on combat and magic and learning to rely on the [System] that our ancestors built in order to compete and survive on this hostile planet with the others. This is a story about our final chance during a time when all of humanity is under siege again, where we struggled to adapt too late and ultimately had to learn how to summon a collection of people from Earth through time and space to come help - but not to the 'besieged time' but back a couple of hundred years - before it went too far down the wrong path, so they can hopefully change things enough to prevent a return to that timeline. Follow Livia as she is ripped from her favorite library and end up getting lucky, or unlucky? On her very first day on the Elderwood continent. While a trio of native lads excitedly leave home to find adventure, oblivious to how very soon they might end up entangled in the fate of the world. But the question that remains to be answered, that this first leg of the journey aims to find out; is what can a LitRPG bookworm like Livia do if called on to change humanity and prepare us all for the future, all before her 21st birthday? Find out soon, as we are finishing up book 1 in the coming two weeks. Cheers for reading this far, have a biscuit!
