《Evolution of the Skeleton who walked alone in a Dungeon》Chapter 0018{Decision}

After the negotiations, I began to heal people. I travelled throughout the kingdom and healed everyone, one by one.
People felt indebted to me, in the end, the populace even gave me a title. They called me the divine doctor.
It took me weeks to cure everyone. When I finished, I returned to the palace and asked the king to fulfill my demands.
“Well, I did ask for a place to stay and some money but isn’t this a villa? It seems huge for just one person to live in it.”
I went inside and saw an uninvited guest.
“If it isn’t the foolish first prince, isn’t this my house now? What are you even doing here?” I asked
“I came here to talk, now sit down and listen to me.”, the prince replied with a commanding tone
“What is it?” I asked while still standing.
“It’s about you, the king has asked you to directly serve under him.”
“Oh, and If I refuse.”, I replied while sitting opposite to him
“Refusing the king means going up against the Kingdom.”, the prince said
“Wow, that seems fun.”, I smiled
“Are you serious?”
“Of course, if the king shows any ill intentions towards me then I would not even waste a second before destroying this kingdom, but fortunately, that is never going to happen and quit wasting my time, I know the king never asked such a thing.”
While gritting his teeth, he replied, “What? How do you even know that?”
“I know that because when I negotiated with the king, I found out he might not be the wisest, but he certainly isn’t as foolish as you are. I just saved nearly half the population of this country and now if the king decides to go against me because he could not control me, who do you think the people will support?”
“But the...”
“The what? I saved the wife and daughter of the head knight, I saved the chief sorcerer of the wizards, I saved the Guild Master of the adventurers, and I saved almost every soldier your kingdom employs.”

“So, then, the king was certainly able to see that, but it seems a foolish teenager did not think so far ahead. You look like a kid who wants to ask someone a favor but doesn’t seem to know how to approach that someone. So, my prince, get to the point, what do you need.”, I stated, it wasn’t even a question.
“The demon lord has begun attacking the other kingdoms. Our kingdom is safe right now because the kingdom before us has yet to fall.”
“So, what, you want me to protect this Kingdom?”
“No, when the demon lord started its attack, the other Kingdoms started to ask for help. So, we sent some reinforcements.”
“Ok, wait, I refuse.”
“What? I haven’t even asked anything yet!”
“Well, let me guess, someone important to you has been sent as the reinforcement and now you want me to guarantee their safety?”
“Yes, please, I will give you anything.”
“Sorry but I don’t need anything. Now if you would excuse me. No, wait, I actually have a question. On the map, there was actually a large part that was colored black and had no information about it. So, mind telling me about that place?”
“It’s secret information only known by the high-level officials.”
“Would you tell me, or should I ask your father?”
“Long time ago there was a necromancer, he conducted various experiments on the undead. One day one of its experiments seemed to have gone wrong. One of the undead revolted and then killed the necromancer.
It called itself a supreme sorcerer, and it created similar beings like it. Their population grew very fast. Soon they declared themselves as a separated race calling themselves Undead sorcerers. Each and every single one of them was exceptionally talented in magic. They even made their own Kingdom and started a war with the other Kingdoms.”
“If they were so strong, then how is this country still standing?”, I asked

“This country is one of the strongest; we have a lot of S rank adventures, our knights are known to be the strongest around the world, of course, we would not fall.”
Well, he was telling the truth; I had programmed the contamination to effect five out of every ten people, but there were nearly fifteen people who seemed to have resisted it and surprisingly, one of them was this prince. I knew they had opposed the contamination because they had no virus within them, the virus affected everyone, but only 5 out 10 would fall into slumber, the virus would just remain asleep within the others who had not fallen into slumber
“Did the war stop now?”
“Yes, but we were not the ones who defected them.”
“Oh, then who defeated them if I may ask?”
“The high elves and vampires have done it; 3 high elves and 2 vampires were able to force them into a corner.”
“Well, I understand that the vampires are strong, I even fought them once, pesky little creatures, it took so much effort to clear that floor, but the elves, I met them once, the Ice-elves there were nothing but weaklings.”
“Quit babbling, the ice elves went extinct ages ago, the high elves were the ones who killed them to extinction. Unlike the civilized high elves, the ice elves were savages. Also, the high elves are way stronger compared to the ice elves.”
“Ahh, I would love to meet them one day.”
“They despise humans, they would kill you the instant you set foot into their lands. Farewell.”
I was finally alone now. I went to take a bath. Inside a tub, I started to wonder about what I am going to do now.
I did spread my name well, and now I was well known, but something just didn’t feel right.
I did not feel any sort of great feeling at all, I thought that was merely pointless, now everyone knew about me, but what was the point?
But I realized why that was? People would feel a sense of accomplishment when they obtained something with dedication, struggle, hard work, and going against the odds but for me, it was just too easy, so I thought I was pointless
Once again, there was nothing to do. But another problem had occurred.
When I used to sleep, I would wake up in my original body.
I then used the time to develop my own dungeon. There were many new things I found out, like how I was able to control the flow of time within my dungeon.
I had started to merge the floors and helped various species to co-exist with each other.
Everything was going smoothly until.
[Your Dungeon has begun undergoing Evolution]
[The Dungeon has started to change into the Interracial Kingdom]
[The Dungeon will emerge to the surface after Evolution is Complete]
[Time Estimated for Evolution: 2 years]
Well, the good thing was that there were at least two years left.
Then I went to bed.
I had bought various storybooks and a novel, so I decided to read some books before sleeping. I speed read through all of them
The stories were mostly about how a guy went around the world, discovering new things, meeting comrades along the way, helping people, becoming a hero.
I just thought how must have been. I did not want to be any sort of hero, I already was considered a hero within this kingdom, but traveling sounded good.
“Ok.”
So, I decided that I will travel around the world for the next two years.

*Note: This story is on hiatus. I intend to pick it up again, but the mood of my life has shifted for the time being and I'm going to be working on a side project for a bit.* What would you give to live the life of your dreams? What kind of deal would you make? And when you were there, forced to stare your dreams in the eye and live them every day, how long would it be... before they broke you? Author's note: This is my first excursion outside the realm of villain fan fiction and I welcome feedback. The thing I've loved most about RRL so far is the potential for writing to be an interactive experience with excited readers. That said, also, the primary genre this is intended for is the blossoming realm of LitRPG. Namely, a slice of life tale in the manner of Grimgar or Re:Zero. So, likewise, I don't expect there will ever be a clear beginning-middle-and-end type of pattern to this story. It will likewise always be a bit more of a reactionary, exploratory novel into realms unknown - much like the 1800 travel-novel theme used by Jules Verne. Or, at least, that is my ambition.

Outlook: The Stars (Consciousness Unbound Book 1)
The year is 2152. Rune Yahui is a nineteen-year-old failure, not having gained entrance to college or the military, with no significant prospects in life. Even worse, Rune is the poorest of the poor, hailing from the mega-slums of New Southern Chicago, the lowest pit of America. In a desperate last-ditch attempt to gain a future more lustrous than toiling the rest of his days away in abhorrent conditions in one of the near sweat-shop level factories that dot the megapolis, Rune signs up for the Virtual Citizen program, a program to cull the excessive world population by transferring just their brains into a video game. In a stroke of rare luck, Rune is admitted into the program and happily submits himself to the surgery and digitization process. Unfortunately for him, he wakes up several hundred years later than he expected... or does he? **Author's Note** This isn't a type of story typical to RRL. You may have noticed LitRPG in the tags, but it's a relatively minor element in the story until later. You may also notice Slice of Life is in the tags. This story is going to be slow and there won't be any power tripping until way later if at all. The focus will be on character development. That doesn't mean I won't still have action/excitement, however. I encourage you to give the story a try. Maybe it will be your thing, maybe it won't. Thanks for even taking the time to read this, and if you do give my fiction a try, I hope you enjoy it. If you don't, well, I hope you find something that you do enjoy. Happy reading!
