《Evolution of the Skeleton who walked alone in a Dungeon》Chapter 0005{Room}

The conversion of fireball to fire control piqued my interest.
I was able to control fire freely. I did not need to call its name out like in fireball.
I held out my hand and tried to flow the fire through my fingers and hands. It caused my HP to decrease.
Skill Evolution: [Fire Damage Resistance level 2]
Slowly my resistance also started to increase. I continued to let my HP decrease, and when it was near 10, I would stop and let it refill again.
I repeated the process several times until the resistance stopped leveling up.
Skill Evolution: [Fire Damage Resistance level 5]
Skill Evolution: [Fire Control level 3]
Now I went near the lake and took a dip inside. I did not need to breathe. My body seemed like it could survive underwater. As I went deeper, the pressure started to increase.
New skill [Water Damage Resistance level 1] learned
“This is deep enough.”
I then tried to use fire control. However, a fire wouldn’t ignite. I thought using fire underwater would be more useful for increasing its level.
I still tried to circulate fire through my entire body, but no fire lighting signs were up.
However, after some time, the temperature near me began to rise. There was still hope, but I was nearly out of MP, so I stopped and got out.
Fire control had remained at the same level.
I was on my way back to the cave when I saw a snake. It was in the place where I killed the wolves and left their corpse behind. It was around 15 meters long and as thick as a wolf.
The corpses seemed to have attracted their attention. It was merely eating the bodies.
I used stealth to get close to it. The snake covered its body in scales.

With the little man I had, I used fire control and covered my hands with blue flames.
Ding!
The system noticed your actions!
Your affinity with the system has increased!
The system has granted you combination skills!
“What?”
Skill Combination: [Fire Control level 3] + [Pierce level 1]
New skill [Fire Piercer level 1] learned.
“Nice, very nice.”
I used the sage's eyes to find its weak point and used my new Skill on it.
It was a one-hit kill.

[You leveled Up]
Required level met:
New Skill [Darkness Attribute] obtained.
[Darkness Attribute] is evolving Skills.
Skill Evolution: [Flame control level 3] ==> [Dark Flame control level 3]
Skill Evolution: [Fire Piercer level 1] ==> [Dark Fire Piercer level 1]
New Skill [Absorption] obtained.
“Since most of the information seems locked, I have no choice but to analyze on my own, sigh.”
As I reached level 40, two new skills got added: Darkness and Absorption.
I used appraisal on both skills.
The darkness attribute seems to help evolve my skills and grant new abilities in contrast with their attribute, like how dark flame can burn a person’s life force and add it to my own.
Absorption takes away the skills of the beings I kill and adds them to my own.
Both seemed pretty useful.
As I leveled up, my MP recovered. So, I used dark flame and burned the snake’s corpse as I wanted to test my new abilities. I did not get any life force; however, I did gain a unique ability.
New Skill [Poison Breath level 1] learned.
[Posion Breath: Grants you little control over posion]
The color of the flame was a mix of dark blue and a bit of black. It was very similar to the fur of the wolf I was wearing.

I then went around and burnt a wolf's corpse.
New Skill [Sense of smell level 1] learned.
As I was a skeleton, I did not have a sense of smell, but I could smell the things around me when I obtained the Skill. However, all there was, were a bunch of rotting corpses which gave of a foul smell.
I burnt them all to ashes to get rid of the smell.
Skill Evolution: [Sense of smell level 2]
.
.
Skill Evolution: [Sense of smell level 7]
By killing beings with the same Skill as me, I found out that I can level up my skills.
The snake had left a trail from where it has come from. I followed it and found a den of snakes.
The snakes saw me, and one of them tried to strangle me with its body.
I simply grabbed its skin and used my flames. The flames were small at first, but they spread like water on a sponge and burned until not even its ashes remained.
I was surprised by how powerful it was. Snakes filled the den. All I did was light up the ground, but soon the fire consumed the entire shelter.

Even though I killed a lot, my level only went up by 1. The kills required to gain a level seemed to increase with every increasing level.
Behind the den was a gigantic door which was almost 20-meters high and about 10-meters wide.
I could not sense anything behind the door. I tried to open the door, but I couldn’t even budge it.
I even tried to burn it only for it to be ineffective.
“Appraisal”
[Floor Master's Room]
It can only be opened when all other species created within this floor cease to exist.
“All other species!!”
I started to think about how troublesome that would be. I tried to come up with a way to deal with this as soon as possible.

The New World
An AI calling itself Schema has assimilated earth into its system. As a consequence, everyone gained access to status screens, power-ups, and skills. This AI turned these concepts from fiction to fact. It's easy to become intoxicated with leveling up and becoming stronger. To some, it's too good to be true like living out a dream. For Daniel, however, it's closer to a nightmare. He's in a bit of a predicament. Cracks in our dimensional fabric have unleashed terrifying beasts from dark, abyssal places. Schema organizes these cracks into dungeons, giving the native species of the planet a chance to fight back. Daniel finds himself trapped in one of these dungeons. Not long after, he discovers there's only one way out. Kill or be killed. (Note: I am currently editing the story and I'm uploading those edits. It will take time to do this, so if you find a huge shift in the story's formatting, that's why. I'm steadily hammering away at it, but it's going to take time. Thanks for your understanding, if you're offering it.) This is a lit-RPG inspired by the Fallout series of games and the Legend of Randidly Ghosthound. Schedule: 2-3 releases a week of around 3,000 words. I have other fictions! *They're of questionable quality* Here's Monsters Dwell in Men If you want to support me and maybe see other content, check out my patreon: Patreon Here's my Youtube Channel as well, Monsoon117

This Used to be About Dungeons
This Used to be About Dungeons is a comfy slice-of-life adventuring story that occasionally features dungeons. Updates Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Mostly it's about walking in the woods with a friend, looking for mushrooms to put in your soup, or haggling with the guy selling squash, or taking care of a neglected garden. It's putting some jam on shortbread biscuits. And yes, sometimes you go down into the dungeons with your friends, and you kill monsters there, or disarm traps, but when you come out, you realize you've found the perfect magic item to give to one of the local kids that helped you out when your cat was sick. Look, the dungeons are always going to be there, and sometimes you need to make a journey to one of the Spirit Gates, or make a pilgrimage with the local Cleric of Symmetry to a holy shrine. Your tour through the local dungeons can wait. You'll have rivalries with other groups, and find some dungeon eggs that need to be carefully incubated in case they turn out to be something valuable, and help a friend to build a fishing weir. There's a big world out there, a mostly tame place with lots of magic, and even more to do and see. Join me, won't you?The cover image is Morning Sunlight Effect, Eragny, by Camille Pissarro.

The Rules of Dungeoneering
The First Rule of Dungeoneering: This will kill you Sylvester Bayes, the 4th son of a small baron, has suddenly had his head filled with the memories and work of someone who had dedicated their life to memorizing every dungeon they could find and designing a new RPG system. Not about to waste these gifts, Sylvester quickly sets out to get rich quick and discover the reasons behind his sudden knowledge. (Please note, this is dressed up actual play from my testing of a tabletop RPG. It is actually how the game has gone and there is a very real chance that anyone, including Sylvester, could die in any encounter. To help make my job easier I am using dungeons written by other people, which is why I have listed this as a fanfiction. I put links to all of them in the chapters where they are relevant.)
