121. Horrors of a Goblin Nest II
“Our Lord requires those offerings to be stripped naked before we can let them.” Said a tall and menacing Grublin guarding the entrance of a seemingly normal cave.
“Remove all their clothes and gather their belongings here.” The leader of the Grublin of who brought Khor’s party ordered his subordinates.
Everyone are still under the effect of Globin’s Tear poison that no one can control their bodies specially Troru who had consumed the most of the tea. He looked like a wasted vegetable his mouth was foaming.
Clay on the other hand who only smelled the vapor of the poison has recovered his ability to close and open his eyes but he could still not circulate his Qi. When it was his turn for his clothes to be removed, he saw the pathetic conditions of everyone. Especially their two female party members who had their bodies exposed like they are some kind of meat displayed for sale in public.
After everyone’s clothes were removed, the guard inspected everyone again to ensure there were no hidden weapons. Carefully it checked the spaces between everyone’s fingers and toes then lastly, mouth especially Khor.
*Arghh
Clay witnessed how the guard pulled out something out of Khor’s mouth like it had extracted a tooth without anesthesia. Back at the village, Khor wanted to fight back and due to his defiance, Satnak forcefully poured more of the poisoned tea into his mouth. Now Khor can only make that gruesome struggling noise as three of his teeth have been pulled out fresh.
“Bring them in.”
Clay felt a sturdy hand wrap his waist and lifted liked a prized boar after a hunt.
The cave is dark but the Grublins carrying them moved like walking during daylight. He is thinking if there is a way to escape this predicament. It never occurred to him that they would fall prey to the cheapest of tricks that they were never even given a chance to put up a fight.
However what really surprised him the most is the strength of the Grublins. That time at the academy when he accidently joined the lecture regarding these monsters, it was not mentioned how strong they were but Clay who had firsthand experience regarding Beast Core Implants, he could feel that these Grublins have strength almost equivalent to Boosted Power on the 2nd Level. But unlike his own version of Boosted Power when he turned into a beast during his life at Gar Wahger planet, Grublins are not using elemental combination but utilizing the combined power of Spiritual Qi and Mana.
It is no wonder they there are to be feared.
Clay estimated they have already passed 300 meters and they still continued moving deeper into the earth through a tunnel. After a few more minutes, light producing insects could be spotted on the sides illuminating the passages. With the help of crystalline rocks, those lights produced by the insects helped Clay observed everything they passed by.
*Thud Thud
Clay started to hear soft and slow heartbeat-like sounds. He does not know what is going on but those sound echoing through the tunnels played like its portraying their ominous deaths.
The Grublins carrying them stopped and kneeled and everyone was placed to the ground.
“We have brought offerings my Lord.”
There was momentary silence before Clay heard a swishing noise indicating a thick and impenetrable door had been opened.
An invisible thread of Qi crawled out from the entrance wrapped Khor’s party and everyone started floating inside.
“These are all their belongings my Liege.” One of the Grublins held up a sack of all items they have confiscated earlier including everyone’s clothes.

“What have we here. Humans this time huh?” A cold voice echoed throughout the cave.
Clay together with his party members helplessly floated inside a spacious dome-like part of the tunnel. Upon the sight of his enemy, he felt wary for the first time in a long time. The leader of Grublins whose controlling them now like mindless dolls looks like a deformed Elven with an overly sized head and a lizard tail with a skin color of a brown Asian.
Those bulging snake-like eyes coupled with a suffocating aura similar to a boosted strength to the 3RD Power can instill fear with one look that even Clay wanted to escape.
Clay can move his eyes sideways and if the sight of an actual Goblin is not fearsome enough, Clay noticed at least six naked Elven women evenly positioned near the walls lying on a cocoon shaped platform. Tears run down their eyes with their mouths open as tube-like structures are directly inserted into their esophagus.
The most dreadful thing is that, a large white membrane is protruding out of their bellies and those membranes extends multiple times like a tree and end of each branch is a sac of larvae and each one is synchronously producing a heartbeat.
What a horrifying way to die- forcefully being fed and kept alive for the sake of these larvae.
“You inferior race. At least you can help me repopulate mine.” The goblin brought everyone closer. Their women companions were particularly favored and attracted the Goblin’s attention.
It is evident how scared Khor is that he still tries to struggle. “Yaaa think a an get aaay waa tha aaa shh.”
The goblin ignored Khor and closed its eyes.
Similar when Clay would extend his aura and form a hand out of his Qi, the Goblin is doing that same thing to them and now that they are all floating in front of the Goblin, they can only helplessly observe everything this monster is about to do.
The body of Goblin started to shiver and after a few moments, its nipular area started to bulge and then grew into a size of adult breast. If that is not disgusting enough, the breasts started to tremble like it was going to shoot out something however four evenly cracks started to form and after a few more seconds, the two bulbs opened up and blossomed like a flower and revealing a soft transparent egg.
At center of the eggs are multiple wiggling worms.
The goblin controlled his Qi and brought their two women companions closer to him. Since the two cannot resist, it was easy for the goblin to open their mouths. There was no emotion on the goblin’s face as it forcefully inserted the two eggs on each woman.
*Arggh
It is evident how the two wanted to resist but they cannot even control their bodies. The goblin slowly placed the two bodies on floor.
It’s not even seconds and the belly of the two women from their party started to swell like it got impregnated.
“You should be proud you have become my concubines.” The goblin coldly looked down at the two then ordered the nearby guards, “Bring them to the incubation room.”
“As you command.” Two Grublins came to pick up the two infected women.
When two had been taken out, the Goblin brought Khor closer.
“As for you, since you want to volunteer so much, you shall become a host for a second generation soldier.
Bring me your seed.”
Another Grublin entered the hall and brought an unknown egg-like white sac the size of a football.

The Goblin controlled Khor and positioned him to float horizontally in front of them and placed that unknown sac directly in front of Khor’s face.
Small tentacles stretched out of the sac until it completely covered Khor’s face.
*Nooooo! Khor’s futile resistance could not be painted. The white mucose-like tentacles spread and entered his nose and mouth then towards every orifice on his head.
“Take him out of here.”
“Thank you my liege.”
Clay watched in horror. “What should I do?” he asked himself.
“Let’s see, who’s next.”
As a race with an inclination to the strong, the Goblin picked the person on Clay’s right.
Clay tried to circulate his Qi again. He is literally like a sitting duck waiting to be shot. He does not intend on dying without putting up a fight however every time he tries to command his Spiritual Energy, the poison is reacting stronger. No matter how much he concentrated, the circulation just won’t form.
He cursed his carelessness and just as he was about to give up, he noticed the Essence Flame sleeping in his dantian. He does not know if this would help him but when he tried to connect with it, the Essence Flame woke up and spread throughout his dantian.
Clay closed his eyes and focused in controlling the flame. To his relief, his Essence Flame seems to resist the poison. Slowly, he commanded it to pass through is first Qi point.
“Ummhhh. You don’t seem happy? That’s how I feel every time your little fortress alliance exterminates my kind.” The Goblin picked his party member on Clay left.
Clay calmed himself and guided the Essence Flame flow throughout his opened meridians and body. He did not rush to form a circulation and ensured all Qi Nodes associated with strength is protected by the Flame. He has a lot of question in mind but the Essence Flame indeed has an ability to resist the poison.
As soon as the Essence Flame reached the final Qi Node, Clay opened his eyes and calmly assessed the situation. He could feel that his strength once amplified with his Dao Powers is many times stronger than the Goblin but his intuition is telling him that he cannot win and that he should retreat. After all, he has never really tested if Dao Powers can match up to Mana energy.
Clay was still calm as he planned his escape. Having been stripped out of his clothes, he just hopes he can run away without any obstruction. He tried to move his fingers and to ensure he has regained control of his body, then slowly tried moving his neck. He has little time and that instant he moved his neck, the sack where their belongings had been collected into one place was reflected in his peripheral vision.
“So you’re the last one. You don’t seem particularly strong. You can only blame your… “
Before the Goblin could finish his sentence, a terrifying hand suddenly appeared to his side.
*Bang
Clay materialized his Qi and formed a giant hand and slapped the Goblin like fly throwing the Goblin into the wall.
After that, a hand made of his aura stretched from his back to pick up all of their items then activated his wings. Clay pointed his finger to the ceiling and delivered an attack with his Dao Powers fully activated.
*Boom!
A hole was immediately created towards the surface.
What seemed like a long time all happened in a second.
Clay rushed into the hole and while propelling himself upwards, he erased the barriers around the spatial rings of all his party members. He saw how the Goblin survived his attack just and now and thanks to his instinct, he did not feel complacent. With his limited strength, his only chance of survival is to call forth experts from the Fortress.
As he ascended into the air, he searched his teammate’s spatial ring and assembled the communications talismans of his party members and when he exited the cave and floated two hundred meters from the ground, he raised his hand and activated the talisman.
“Goblin Nest.”
Clay still have a lot to learn about formations but the activation of the Leaflet Distress Communicator had a slight pause which should give him time to infuse his message on the distress signal.
*Boom
Like a firework, a flare was shoot out on Clay’s palm then exploded up in the air forming a leaf-like structure then exploded again spreading in all directions.
Meanwhile, the Goblin had already caught up and floated in front of Clay. That deathly and murderous aura its releasing coupled with a boosted strength to the 3RD Power is intimidating that any feeble minded opponent will scram in fear.
With a deep and menacing voice it spoke. “I don’t know what you are but I will give you a chance to become my subordinate.”
Clay already anticipated that the Goblin would catch up to him. It was not even four seconds yet the Goblin is already in front of him maintaining a safe distance like it already knows Clay’s weakness. Clay indeed has Dao Powers comparable or even stronger than Lord Lao but the limit of his Spiritual Qi is comparable to the least talented human cultivator.
“You mean you want to know where my powers come from?” Clay responded. He thought this Goblin would immediately attack but he is thankful he could buy time.
Unbeknownst to the Goblin, Clay is busy checking every item his party members have in their spatial rings using his divine sense.
Clay had never used a weapon before so anything related to talisman is the first thing that attracted his attention. Of all the items he saw inside the spatial rings, the only useful items he found are three one-time use explosion talismans.
“You are smart for an inferior …”
The Goblin was in the middle of talking when suddenly, something came exploding in front of him.
*Kaboom!
Clay had already positioned the explosion talismans to attack from the front and after that explosion, he summoned another explosion talisman above and below the Goblin and when all exploded, it covered the Goblin in flames.
The Goblin on the other hand activated a barrier again to protect himself.
Clay did not know if his surprise attack was successful but he immediately turned around to flee. Although he poured his Dao Powers into that attack, he felt that it did not do much of a damage.
On that moment of explosion, Clay was unaware that the ripples of explosion were deflected towards the goblin nest. Majority within the goblin nest are Qi based cultivators so the ripples caused their beast cores to crack but the Gabalins whose primary strength is derived from Mana, they were not as impacted and began to crawl out of the cave. The Gabalins were unaware that their boosted power relies on the combination of Qi and Mana that their Qi-based cores have cracked making them exert regular Mage powers.
Clay estimated that he can only use his powers for the next five minutes and that he should utilize each second properly. As he flew away, he felt the power of the Goblin decreased to the 2ND Level of Boosted Power. He wanted to look back but his instinct is still telling him to run as fast as possible.
“I will torture you SOUL!”
Clay heard the Goblin roared and felt that it is only a matter of time before the Goblin can outrun him. He wanted to propel himself further however right at this time, two powerful reinforcements arrived.
“FROZEN SPEAR”
A gigantic spear materialized out of nowhere and flew straight to the Goblin.
*Boom!
Clay was tempted to look back but he knew he needed to escape otherwise he’ll get caught in their fight.
“BREATH OF THE PHOENIX”
*Kaboom!
“LIGHTNING SERYPHYS”
*Boom!
Deafening explosions are generated everytime the two powerful figures attacked.
“I command every expert of Manaar Alliance. Exterminate this goblin nest.”
Clay did not need to look back to confirm that another Leaflet Distress Communicator has been activated. As he flew further away, he could feel more and more incoming figures flying towards the direction of the Goblin nest. Clay only cared about his escape he forgot he is still naked as he flew nonstop.
However just when he thought he was safe, he felt a needle pierced his leg. He looked below where the attack came from however, in the second where his attention was shifted, a terrifying fire ball rapidly approached his direction. Clay yet again realized his mistake as he was too focused on escaping that he forgot about Gabalins or Grublins guarding the perimiters of the nest. His mind went into overdrive. He knew he cannot evade that Mana-based Fire Balls and he wanted to check into the spatial ring but it was too late. The only thing that came to mind is try to store that incoming attack into the spatial ring.
The incoming fire ball moved too fast but Clay was able to hold the spatial ring on his palm. He activated the spatial ring and imbued all his Dao Power and tried to reroute the attack into the spatial ring
*Swoop
Clay thought he had successfully imploded it into the spatial ring but the next moment, the ring exploded and created a spatial tear.
*Zzzk
The tearing of space obliterated his whole right arm then created a strong suction force. Clay forgot how Dao Power is the key to tearing spaces.
In that nick of time when he was absorbed into the spatial tear, he spread his Dao all throughout his body and since there is nothing supporting the spatial tear, it immediately closed thereafter.

Journeys in the Fairworld: The Gatekeeper
Lindsey Fluger was only slightly past eighteen. There was nothing particularly special about her, save that she happened to be the right person at the right time. When Lindsey is asked to join an expedition to another world she makes the mistake of saying yes, plunging herself into a sea of perilous adventure and dark intrigue. Journeys in the Fairworld is a fantasy anthology series set in The Fairworld, a magical realm existing in parallel with our own world which is governed by a group elfin beings known only as “The Good Folk”. These mysterious entities work in secret to keep the peace between the myriad of peoples and nations which dwell in The Fairworld. Complex relationships and bitter rivalries emerge against a backdrop of constrained resources and conflicting values to produce a world of high adventure and tangled mysteries. This novel is technically already completed, and I am currently in the final stages of proofing or editing. As such, there may be a few typos and errors here and there. The final version should be about 130,000 words long, which I will be releasing in stages as I continue editing. I'd love to hear your feedback and comments! If you want to read more stories from Journeys in the Fairworld, please checkout “Journeys in the Fairworld: The Brigand of Potham”, which is also available here on Royal Road Legends. https://www.royalroadl.com/fiction/19369/journeys-in-the-fairworld-the-brigand-of-potham

It'll take several chapter just for our little main character to meet her future partner and there will be only a few big time skips to age the characters. I intend to have a lot of this story telling the story of how our duo grow up at a steady pace, so don't expect to see our main characters out saving the world any time soon. XD

The Adventurer's Guild(master)
In a world of adventure, magic, and kingdoms, only one man can keep it all from falling apart. As much as he wished that wasn't the case. This is the story of the man who became the guild master of the most prestigious adventurer's guild in the kingdom, and then came to completely regret that decision, as he is forced to keep the peace, file paperwork, and babysit adventurers. The life of a guild master is not as great as it once seemed. Note: The prologue is an extended -probably should have not took it that far- joke and is completely skippable from the rest of the series. This is my first work on this website, or on any website to be honest, so criticism is more than welcome. Feel free to leave comments on any chapter, not just the latest one.
