When the first bolt of lightning was released, Re'y levitated and using all his might, he created his own Qi Projection in a form of a gigantic fist to intercept the incoming lightning.

Boom!

Deafening sounds were created as the first lightning tribulation was deflected. A portion of the deflected energy managed to arch and landed and charred the nearby trees in an instant.

According to the logs of Avur, the first descent will warn the ascending cultivator how powerful and devastating the succeeding nine consecutive lightning bolts happening in the next five minutes, then after around ten minutes, it will finally be followed by seven weaker lightning tribulations with three minute intervals. The last seven is the most important step as the cultivator must use it to refine his body and meridians and baptize his soul.

The two Nascent elders below wanted to cripple their disciple and save him but upon seeing the might of Re'y, they decided to help their junior instead. What they have not expected is that right after that impact, the two realized a dark flame ball coming from above and reached them in a blink of an eye.

Boom!

The patriarch of Kra'ing Sect had just started placing a seal on Ne'i's dantian so he could not form a defensive barrier but thanks to Raata's life saving treasured talisman that looked like a cauldron activated just in time protecting them.

Both of them went offensive however before Raata could summon his weapon, a refined zombie appeared behind him. Raata instinctively concentrated his strength to form a barrier around his neck and heart.

When he thought the zombie would go after his vital spots, he felt something grabbed his left leg and when he looked down to his side, a drooling zombie has already made a bite to his calf. Raata summoned his sword and pierce the head of the zombie and without any hesitation, he cut of his left leg to prevent the deadly poison from spreading. He clenched his teeth then used his Qi to stop the bleeding.

"Did you like my present?" A cold murderous voice echoed from above as a Mid Nascent Soul expert clad in velvet robes finally revealed himself and is getting ready to attack again.

"This place has been sealed and if both of you surrender yourselves . . . .A Arrggh"

Before this guest could continue, he felt his body completely immobilized. His eyes moved in horror and looked into the direction of the aura suppressing him is coming from. He wanted to escape but he could not even circulate his Qi. His last thought was an image of a hairy horned ape-like devil with a tail.

Kle In estimated that he probably had been heavily injured if not dead if he were the one attacked. With the Isolation Formations hiding the enemy and their attention completely fixated on the tribulation, it was too perfect to camouflage a sneak attack. The duo was just recovering from shock but was petrified and disoriented with another sudden display of power. They looked towards Kle In cautiously.

"They call me Kle In and am returning the favor. I will deflect the incoming tribulations for your junior."

"I am Ingra, current patriarch of Kra'ing Sect. I am indebted to this benevolent master."

Ingra immediately lowered his weapon and saluted with his fist before tending the seal to Ne'i who is still in a trance tightly maintaining his Buddha position.

He is truly grateful they have not acted in greed. The temptation to covet the Spiritual Vein was massive even he as a faction leader heeded the distress signal sent by their disciple. The Nascent Soul elder who sneak attacked them would require the combined efforts of at least four Early Nascent experts yet it was killed like it was a fly. Those Qi projections just now sent shivers to his bone.

After a few minutes, Kle In noticed Ingra activated the seal he placed within the dantian of Ne'i forcefully waking their junior up. When Ne'i woke up, he was lost and was frightened his master Raata lost a leg.

At the same time, the period where the lightning tribulation is at its strongest descended like an apocalypse. Kle In already had his Qi Projections activated at 3rd degree and deflected them at a kilometer elevation. When he felt the strength of the tribulations weakened, he retracted his Qi and allowed it to hit Ne'i. Kle In waited until the dark clouds dissipated.

When the tribulation ended, Kle In looked around and saw Ver'a and a few elders of the village not far away from the temple. They were looking at him with fear and worry creating a dense atmosphere. Kle In realized how the village has been implicated.

Kle In turned to Ingra and said, "Come find me before you leave", then flew back to his residence.

Kle In contemplated on what just happened. He finds it rather fascinating that a Nascent expert would show up within the vast lands of thinned Qi but this time, it was not because of him. He could even be assured that even with the size of the tribulation clouds nor how powerful the ripples generated when he broke through, the distance covered by attenuated Qi is endless that the strongest cultivator he estimated they would encounter would be a measly Late Foundation Expert.

It only meant one thing. That expert was after Kra'ing Sect.

He was just planning on how to convince this sect to do his bidding but today, he plans on helping them exterminate their archenemies. That assailant should be a proof that their sect is at war with someone powerful.

Kle In had a plan in mind. The cultivation world is scheming at every corner and he does not expect Kra'ing Sect to continue implementing his vision, but this should give ample time for another faction to flourish which he plans on establishing with the help of Re'y

His focus now is how to nourish and transform someone into a capable cultivator without turning them into a beast like him and as powerful and cunning like the assassin he just killed.

Kle In summoned a pot and heated his tea and sighed.

He could not help but think about the assassin. .That man expected that he was a regular cultivator who is on a weakened and unstable cultivation state upon breakthrough. That level of patience, timing, and precision could have had made the assassin triumphant should Kle In had been the first target of a deadly sneak attack. At least he died painlessly.
