《God Must Be Lazy He Allowed a Cultivation Anomaly》73. Spiritual Veins II

Kle In went back to the location of the weak Spiritual Vein and spent the whole afternoon observing it. He left his first experiment in the rivulet after fifteen minutes having confirmed no Spiritual Qi is being produced.
After hours of fruitless observation, he noticed it is getting dark, so he decided to take a break and flew back to the cabin. He took out two Mid Qi Crystals to recover his strength. Before absorbing the second crystal, he noticed how the first one turned into vapor unveiling another problem.
"How does one accumulate Qi and turn into a crystal?"
The size of the Vein he found will certainly not fit his spatial ring and his plan is to resupply his crystals by collecting the Qi produced from the weak vein, but now he is faced with another problem. He sighed that lack simple knowledge keeps his problems piling. He decided to drop by to the closest city later on to get him learn the basics if everything goes fine. Kle In continued to meditate until morning.
When he opened his eyes, the first thing he did is to check the cores in his body for any changes. He felt uneasy every time he thinks about what Urda said. He could accept transforming but is still hopeful he won't die. He sliced a few kilograms of the leopard meat in his spatial ring for breakfast.
Kle In forced himself to think positively. He thought about his observation yesterday to divert his attention. Having failed his first experiment, he would like to know what he would be doing differently this time.
When he went back to the river, the first thing that came to his mind is to redo it and make sure he did not make any mistakes. He activated his divine sight and observed the vein again. When he looked at the waves that were coming out of the spot in the middle of the vein, he realized that the form is very much similar to the waves on his experiment yesterday.

"If that was not Spiritual Qi, then what is it? The fact that it is visible through his divine sight, then it should be a form of energy as well, right?"
Kle In got curious and flew back to where he left the improvised Vein. When he landed beside the rivulet, he felt an increase of Qi concentration following the flow of water starting at where he left the sample from yesterday. Instead of a Spiritual Vein generating Qi in the environment, it is the plants brimming with Qi and emitting it via transpiration.
He slowly walked towards the direction of the flow until he reached around half a kilometer where the Qi density became thin. He walked back up and filled five bottles containing the unknown energy. Kle In summoned his cauldron and placed four bottles and closed the lid. It is currently the only item he has that could isolate this mystical energy. He will observe the last bottle outside.
The image that is formed by this unknown energy through his divine sight is faint murky white and no such image is reflected after five hundred meter distance. While the pressure of the flowing water is weak, traces of eutrophication from the unknown energy should still be seen even at that distance just like Qi produced from the Spiritual Vein he saw near the river which has traces of Spiritual Qi stretching at a two kilometer distance.
He sat and observed the bottle together with the few smaller aquatic animals he saw earlier.
Evening came quickly. His patience had long been accustomed to a long and dull observations that it has become normal not to be bored and irritated. Earlier, he found a few beasts and forced them to drink tainted water and released them nearby.
Kle In noticed how the unknown energy slowly disappeared on the bottle on his hand. When he retrieved the four bottles he placed inside the cauldron, he realized the same thing happened. No image can be traced through his divine sight. It disappeared like it was not even there in the first place unlike Spiritual Qi where it lingers in the environment until it is absorbed.

His current understanding about Spiritual Qi is that it is beneficial to cultivators and beasts, while Death Qi is the opposite. Now this unknown energy based on his current observation can only be processed by plants to generate Spiritual Qi. As for its adverse effects, he has yet to find out but the beasts he released earlier are not showing any symptoms.
Kle In looked for a random isolated plant and watered it with the bottles he contained and observed earlier. The unknown energy could not possibly just disappeared out of nowhere. Since he does not have equipments to determine and study its molecular contents, he could still perform observable experiments.
In the mean time, he spread his Qi to catch two magical beasts and created two more Spiritual Vein Models and placed them on a swamp a kilometer away. If he is not able to crystallize Qi, he could still collect the leaves of the plants subjected to the unknown energy and extract them as an alternative.
Evening that day, the plant he watered with the bottles did not have any change. He continued on observing the effects of the unknown energy while patiently waiting for his supposed time of death.
