Kle In felt like an eternity has gone by when in fact only less than a minute passed. He could still blink and barely able to move his neck.

The rabbit did not continue its attack and gathered the three pills and stacked them in the piles of pills and covered it with a white sticky fluid. It turned to Kle In and that moment, it did not perceive any danger from him since Kle In deactivated his Qi and is not moving.

Seeing Kle In was no longer a threat to their food, the rabbit took a pill and brought it to his cage. The kittens could still not see but they were able to sense the food their mother brought. The mother rabbit took a bite from the pill and after a few moments, it looks like it was kissing its offspring however it was actually feeding it.

Kle In woke up from his stupor. A moment ago he was thinking he will die a horrible death but the actions of the beasts just now gave him hope. Although he is still anxious the rabbit would attack him any given moment.

Back on earth, some insects and animals have ways to preserve their food like a Jeweled Cockroach Wasp for example. It will sting and sends a chemical directly to its prey, paralyzing then lays eggs into the prey's body which then secures the food of the next generation and this was how it felt to Kle In.

The paralysis effect began to wear off and after a quarter of an hour, Kle In could slowly move his body. He prayed the beast will not notice nor make any move against him. He did not act rashly and pretended he was still paralyzed. After confirming he can move freely will he make an instantaneous escape.

Clock ticked and after another ten minutes, the petrification spell completely wore off giving Kle In the ability to move freely. His eyes moved and looked at the cage where the mother rabbit was occupied. All he could think of is to escape.

His surroundings seem to have stopped and he could feel and hear his heartbeat. Kle In took a deep breath and turned and moved his body.

Whoosh!

Kle In madly run and escaped through the door with all his might. He wanted to run as far away as possible but upon reaching outside, he realized it was night time he could barely see the neighboring houses giving off a dreadful vibe.

Kle In stopped and stood by the gate. He looked back to confirm the rabbit was not after him. The will to live is instinct to all when faced with danger and upon seeing the it was probably even more dangerous staying outside during dark, he was lost as to what to do next.

After a few minutes of hesitation, he decided to stay close to the gate and will just run away the moment the rabbit shows up. He really should not have had sent Aunt Mabna'y away. He regretted having such arrogance and carelessness on this new world.

He was not aware how much time has passed but after encountering the attacks of the rabbits two times, the stress and exhaustion took a toll on his body making him fall asleep.

It was already morning when Kle In heard a carriage nearby. As he regained consciousness, he realized he slept on the grass close to the fence. Upon remembering what happened last night, he immediately went on alert. Since it was already morning, the fear of going outside went away as well. He stepped out of the gate.

He wanted to commission someone to get rid of the beasts. When he retrieved a few gold coins from his spatial ring, he hesitated and realized if it's even a good idea to ask a stranger for help.

Giving out a gold coin or two is very generous for such a task however what he was worried about were the pills collected by the rabbit. Recalling his Buaki brothers and Sar Aran’s reaction when it came to pills, he feared the person he asked for help for will have a change of heart.

While he believed in human moral values, there is always an intrinsic evil hidden among us waiting to be triggered, more so that this world's standard is akin to jungle where strength decides things.

Kle In was suddenly made aware how he was becoming paranoid. He casted that feeling of distrust and decided to ask Sar Aran for help instead.

He looked back to his residence but before he could close the gate, something occurred to him.

“Were those rabbits even trying to kill me?”

He recalled the rabbits according to Aunt Mabna’y are docile and even he can testify to it. He was even able to observe them up close and even without the presence of Mabna’y. Which means, something triggered the rabbits to go berserk. The first time was when he concocted pills and the second was when he picked up the pills the rabbit collected as its food reservoir.

Kle In calmly assessed and rationalized the entire situation.

After a few minutes, he gathered his courage and stepped back into the gate towards the underground cellar. He was still in alert in case sudden danger but his state of mind was unlike yesterday when he feared being killed. Confident he will not be attacked, he bravely decided to confront the rabbits.

Upon entering the room, he saw the rabbit and its kittens sleeping and unmovable like a rock. He avoided the pile of pills as he approach and got closer to the cage. As he had predicted, the rabbit woke up and looked at him but immediately went back to sleep.

Kle In saw the water container almost empty.

While it is important to gather data by observing these docile beasts, his safety comes first and he always redo it when Aunt Mabna'y comes back.

To sedate the rabbits, one has to dip a grass into the Galis'a Powder. Seeing the grasses besides them untouched, he knew the pills were enough to satisfy the stomachs of these beasts. He refilled the container with water and poured all the Galis'a Powder in it.

He just needed to wait until the rabbit drinks from the container before executing his plan.
