Breakthrough Pill

After breakfast the following morning, Kle In prepared the cauldron to attempt to refine Foundation Establishment Breakthrough pill. As practice, he wanted refined Qi Sensing Pills without relying on his flame but using fire crystals as described in the book.

It took him around five minutes to have a feel and complete control of heat produced from the crystals and threw in ingredients for Qi Sensing Pills.

Kle In could not be happier upon realizing the convenience of using fire crystals. His Qi reservoir was not touched at all.

Seeing there were total of twelve crystals including what he was currently using, he guessed these minerals may cost a lot as well.

He read the book one last time before finally springing into action. While he did ask permission to use one or two sets for practice, he wanted his first try to be successful. He unsealed the first set of ingredients and placed the four primary ingredients into the cauldron.

He was not blindly extracting the essences of each medicinal ingredient without considering the step by step process depicted on the book. He believed that the reason the Tier Two Alchemist took almost three hours to completely refine the pill is because they have not considered simultaneous essence extraction. He had experienced it firsthand when he refined the Bloodline Awakening Pill and having knowledge about pill explosion, he had an idea when something is about to go wrong.

After fifteen minutes, Kle In could feel the size of the fire crystal decreased by twenty percent. Having completely extracted the essences of the four primary ingredients, he opened the lid and used his flame to contain them separately and brought them outside the cauldron. He then used his Qi to place all the secondary ingredients for extraction.

Another ten minutes passed, there were now sixteen floating goblets of liquids outside the cauldron all contained within Kle In's Flame and Qi. Four of them had the size of an adult human fist. It was time for the main course of action.

Kle In had always compared pill refinement to cooking. The approach varies from one person to another. The Tier Two Alchemist he saw mentioned about quenching technique and essence sealing which he was not able to see since the cauldron was not transparent. For him though, he believes that simultaneous essence extraction is about having all ingredients completely prepared before mixing them together at the required period until the pill is concocted.

Kle In controlled the essence of the three-hundred-year-old Green Gaewud Fruit into the cauldron and mixed it together with Alsnu'u Ginseng, Four Leaf Nura'a, and Bee Stinger Clover extracts. According to the book, this would form a gaseous cloud to set a stable foundation of the pill and to protect the entire refinement process from outside contamination.

After the gaseous cloud was formed, Kle In was ready to set the stage of the first combined essences.

Fifteen minutes passed, all the essences floating in front of him had been placed into the cauldron. At this point there were now three set of combined essences ready to be mixed. The Tier Two Alchemist from the recording crystal was able to concoct two Low Tier Foundation Establishment Breakthrough Pill, however from Kle In's experience, these amounts should be able to form three High Tier Pills. Kle In separated three small goblets from each combined essence to establish three separate Gathering Formations.

Kle In activated his Failed Superman's Eyesight to view the image of the formation and used his Qi to connect to it and begin the pill synthesis. If one were to observe what is going on inside the cauldron, they would notice that it is similar to how heavenly bodies are formed after the Big Bang. Like the creation of a planet, three small moons or satellite are orbiting around it. However, these satellites are getting bigger as it is absorbing the essence of the planet.

Kle In controlled the intensity of heat produced by the fire crystal to maintain the pill that is slowly coagulating. Unlike Qi Sensing Pills where he did not exert any effort at all, this pill was completely the opposite

The combined essences in the middle was slowly being absorbed the rotating three small pills giving him confident he could concoct the pill. It just amazed him that he has already consumed a third of his strength.

Twenty minutes later, the combined essences in the middle disintegrated into ashes and three white translucent pills were formed. Unlike the Tier I pill he concocted, this pill does not have a dark hue that stretches from the middle.

Kle In was gasping for breath and beads of sweat soaked his clothes. He deduced that if it had taken another ten more minutes, he would have had probably passed out. He opened the lid and retrieved the pills and sealed them in a bottle.

Kle In took a bath and slept for the rest of the day. He asked Aunt Mabna'y to wake him up before dinner.

Two days later, he refined another batch.
