Feng Ye, after returning to his suite, takes a seat and starts brainstorming the best method to gain energy points [EP]. At first, he was debating whether or not to just join a club specializing in martial arts or sabre play to defeat more students to “farm up” on points.

However, such plan is not truly effective and it would be essentially a single point per student. It also would seriously damage the students’ potential and result in an increased difficulty in their awakening. This would have a high chance of being noted by the higher ups and perhaps dissatisfying the mysterious student council. As Feng Ye already knows that today’s impulsive confrontation had been noted, he needs to stay under the radar for some time. Thus, he decides over the next month to still challenge some individuals but only once per person and only limited to around ten individuals. This would allow Feng Ye to still gain some points, but not exhausting the potential of the individuals in question completely.

Feng Ye sighs.

At the very least, he had obtained 1 EP from today’s event. Feng Ye takes a look at the Kami Institute forums and sees numerous threads describing today’s fight. Truly, it seems that this would be what they call, “A fight becomes famous.” If there were any who had forgotten that Feng Ye was ranked 1st in the entrance examinations, now none will forget as each post also thoroughly described his background and past achievements.

Feng Ye’s mouth twitches as he glances at the numerous posts and comments. He takes a look at the popular thread titles. As the forums are for Kami Institute, threads with replies that amount to over 200 are considered extremely popular as there are only currently 200 students enrolled.

The loli in Feng Ye’s mind can be found rolling on the ground laughing. Feng Ye always had felt that this loli’s appearance looks quite similar to an anime character that was popular in his previous world. He can’t quite remember as he decides to start preparing dinner in the kitchen.

As he prepares to make another commoner’s chicken fried rice meal, it had dawned on him. In his mind, he immediately takes a closer look at the loli’s clothing. The loli has the appearance of a pale-skinned girl with long silver hair. She is rather slim and about the height of an eleven year old while wearing a loose fitting purple sailor uniform.

“Wait, a minute… isn’t this loli similar to Shiro from No Game No Life?! O_O With the difference being her pale hair, and mysterious golden eyes…” Feng Ye exclaims in his mind.

System: Stop staring. Pervert. >.>

“....” Feng Ye stays silent and will not even try to argue back. After having a nice meal of chicken fried rice, he prepares to retire for the night.

A month passes like this...

Classes are perfunctory completed by Feng Ye. No one approaches him or the group due to his new found prestige. School life is quite tranquil and in somewhat boring. However, Feng Ye likes this type of carefree life as he continues to figure out ways to increase his meager energy points. The system status also successfully is filled with energy and is fully awake full time. This means that an annoying loli constantly makes underhanded remarks in Feng Ye’s mind even when he’s asleep. Sometimes when Feng Ye falls asleep, the system intrudes into the dream causing havoc left and right. Thus, Feng Ye’s life is unfortunately filled with this energetic system loli during both the day and night.

Akimichi sometimes arrives back late. The past month both Feng Ye and Akimichi had no short amounts of adventure. They had essentially experienced the majority of popular locations in the city of Aven. Akimichi regards Feng Ye as a younger brother. The two with the passing of time unknowingly had developed brotherly fetters. A mysterious bond between roommates had developed. Akimichi had successfully helped Feng Ye’s transition into this new life while Feng Ye had made Akimichi’s life more flavourful and less monotone.

In the past month, Feng Ye had gained a total of 10 energy points. These were quite hard to accumulate. Feng Ye had essentially gone to challenge several representatives in combat-related clubs. Although these individuals would have their potential slightly decreased, it shouldn’t affect them in a big way as Feng Ye isn’t farming the energy points until they reach zero.

Feng Ye recalls the system shop in his mind and consumes 5 EP for 1SP and 1AP. This leaves Feng Ye with 5 EP remaining which he decides to save for now.

The next few weeks, Feng Ye had noticed that Akimichi had started to return later in the night more frequently with a somewhat stressful appearance. One night when Akimichi returns late, Feng Ye inquires while showing some concern.

“Hey, Akimichi-kun, are you alright?”

“Thanks for asking Feng-kun, I’m alright. Just quite busy. I’ll be heading to sleep.” With that reply, Akimichi heads directly to bed.

The next day in Kami Institute, Chu Feng requests to speak with him privately. On the rooftop, only Chu Feng and Feng Ye are present.

“Hey Feng-kun, have you noticed that Akimichi-san is acting weird lately? Kira-san had found out that Akimichi has been skipping his classes on the main campus. Quite strange. Is everything alright?” Chu Feng inquires.

“He has been coming back quite late more frequently. It’s odd that he was skipping classes and he does seem more stressed than usual. I’ll see what I can do.” Feng Ye replies.

“Let me know if you find out anything. Kira-san and I are worried as well.”

“I’ll let you know. No worries.” Feng Ye reassures.

With this conversation completed, investigation about Akimichi’s circumstances have begun. Feng Ye hates to see his roommate and friend in such a stressful and unhealthy manner. Akimichi has some brotherly fetters with him and he wants to do his best to help.

The following night after Akimichi goes to sleep, Feng Ye exchanges his remaining 5 EP for a Tracker NanoBug from the system store.

Feng Ye inquires the loli who is sitting in his mind with the appearance of being bored, “Could you tell me the specifics of this item?”

System: Of course. Since Fury Fist Feng asks, I’ll be glad to. So, the Tracker NanoBug lasts a month’s worth of time. It is essentially a tracking device on the nanometer scale. It is essentially undetectable by the normal human eye. It comes with a external usb port which can be plugged into your tablet and relays the location information with a map of where the Tracker NanoBug is. After a month has passed, the Tracker NanoBug no longer works as it runs out of energy and dissipates. If you would like to make it last longer, each additional month would be the cost of 5 EP.

“I see. Perfect, I’ll just use this one then. No need for more.”

System: You are poor. You can’t afford another month. Don’t even ship out that ugly appearance. I am poor too and need energy. No discounts!

Feng Ye takes out the Tracker NanoBug USB port from the storage space and approaches Akimichi’s jacket. As the weather has become cooler, each resident of Aven city have started wearing jackets, sweaters, or hoodies to stay warm.

System: Simply, open the compartment on the back of the USB capsule and pour its contents into a pocket. As the Tracker Nanobug is on a nanometer scale, you won’t be able to see it. It will automatically embed itself into the surface of which it is in contact with.

Feng Ye follows the system’s instructions and pours out the contents from the back of the USB compartment into Akimichi’s jacket front pocket. The USB lights up indicating that embedding was successful. Feng Ye then quietly goes into his room and inserts the USB into his tablet. A secure program appears showing the location of the Tracker Nanobug. On the screen, Feng Ye sees a red dot on a model which resembles Aven Tower. He zooms in on the program and notices that the red dot is on the 15th floor in suite 15A.

With this task done, Feng Ye will need to rush home after classes the next few days to check where Akimichi may be headed to in the night.

This is his duty as Akimichi’s friend, roommate, and non-biological brother.
