Book 3 Chapter 10: Valafor Mountain
“You want to go to Valafor mountain?” Tang said in surprise.
“Yes. I don't know how to explain it but I can sense a strong subconscious urge to go.” Explains Lintian.
Tang contemplated for a couple minutes and said, “alright we will take you there but I suggest you get stronger first. As your level I doubt you can beat the golems even with three attempts. The golem’s strength is at the ninth stage of the Master realm. Right now you are simple at the second stage with no body strengthening techniques.”
“I’ll use my first attempt to test it out and from there I will know how much more cultivation I need to beat it. Are heaven level weapons allowed?”
“No! All weapons used must be under the King’s realm. Since with Heaven’s weapons will make it too simple.”
“Alright lets go then.”
“What happen to your tournament?” Lintian asks.
“We quit,” Lee chuckles.
“There was no point in us fighting anyway. Why injure ourselves? You know what I mean?”
“Yeah, I guess I would have done the same,” Lintian said.
“Lintian follow me I’ll take you there. The rest of you take care and make sure we are ready for the auction,” orders Tang.
“Okay.”
“Right on it.”
Lee nods his head.
“Let me get two Master Realm swords before we go,” Lintian said and Tang instantly produces two upper tier Master Realm swords.
“Wow that was fast,” Lintian said in surprise.
“Lets go. It is an eight hour trip from here.”
Lintian and Tang both hopped on a bird and they flew off. After eight hours it was night time already as they approach an enormous mountain that stretches for miles and miles. The distance was at least one thousand miles in width and length.
There were seven mountains and each of the Mountains we an enormous dragon at the top.
They were made out of stones but to Lintian they felt alive and gives Lintian the feeling of an ant before a giant.
“There are seven trials you can pick from. The strongest Dragon God is the True Dragon God that is in the middle. The second strongest is the Yin Yang Dragon. The third is the space time Dragon. The fourth strongest is the Soul Demon Dragon. The fifth is the twin Dragon who controls the laws of Life and Death. They are one and two at the same time. The sixth strongest is the Elemental Dragon.”
The True dragon stood at the helm with his gleaming gold scales, wings spanned out for miles, and eyes glaring into the depth of a person’s soul.
While second dragon was black and white his sharp eyes also glaring into the depth of a person’s soul. This dragon gave Lintian the feeling of Chao and Creation clashing against each other. Subconsciously this dragon gave Lintian a feeling of familial attachment.

The space time dragon was different from the first two in that Lintian felt like he was looking into empty space. It made Lintian felt alone in this world.
The Soul Demon Dragon was blood red and coal black. It was releasing killing intent nonstop. It was so strong that Lintian decided not to look at its eyes since he didn't want to die yet.
Life and Death twin dragons were smaller than the True Dragon and the Yin Yang Dragon but the Dragon of Life had a tender look while the Dragon of Death had a look of pity and sadness. One look and Lintian felt like he experienced a life time worth of memories.
The elemental dragon was bigger than all the dragons there and the feeling it gave off was that of cold, and hot. The elemental dragon was like nature itself.
After a while they landed on a platform that was a mile in length. In the middle of the platform was a simple building. There were many people there but few were challengers. Most were there to ponder on the laws in front of the elemental dragon.
“Lets go,” Tang said as he got off the eagle.
They entered the building and inside was simple just like the outside. The room was no bigger than a classroom at a school. Behind a window was a teller like person.
“Hi how can I help you,” she asks.
“My friend here would like to take the golem challenge to enter one of the 7 Guardian dragons ruins.”
“The fee is one million qi stones and which ruin would he like to enter?” the teller asks.
“The Yin Yang Dragon ruins,” Lintian said without hesitation.
The teller glances at Lintian and a chill fell over Lintian. A look of doubt appears on her face, but she didn't say anything and simply collected the fee.
“A word of advice. Your cultivation level is currently too low. Maybe come back when your at the seventh stage.”
“Thanks for the advice but I am only here today to test the golem nothing more. If I pass I pass if I don’t only come back when I am at that stage.”
Ungrateful brat the teller thought to herself, “anyway give your interspacial ring any stuff to your friend here. Take whatever weapon you are using with you and the guards will check you out. Furthermore your battle will not be recorded and no one can watch. Therefore we are not responsible for any deaths,” The teller saids systematically and didn't say any more since it was non of her business. It has been 100 years since there has been a challenger for the Yin Yang Dragon. Those who enter only 1 out of 1000 survives. Even those survivors were severely injured. It has been almost half a million years since someone has passed this trial.

Lintian gives Tang the interspacial ring and brought out the two swords. Then he went over to guards and the guards patted him down and looks at the two swords and the dream orb bracelet before letting him in.
One of the doors open and Lintian enters. Inside it was dark room. The torch on the walls were instantly lit the next second. In the middle of the room stood a golem. It had the head of a dragon, body of a humanoid, tail of dragon, and claws like a dragon too.
The eyes lit up red. Kill intent pours out from the golem. A heavy long sword appears in its hand.
Lintian immediately felt the danger as the lightning qi courses through him.
Boom!
Spiderweb cracks appears beneath the feet of the golem.
Boom!
Lintian reflexly brought his sword up and blocked the first blow from the Golem. Lintian was blasted backwards from the impact.
He spits out a mouthful of blood. His internal organs were slightly damaged. Thankfully he moved backwards and didn't receive the full power of that blow. If he did Lintian felt like he would have been squashed like a bug.
One problem after another rose.
This golem was faster than him. Its physical strength was also 100 times stronger. Not only that but qi density was higher too. The only comfort Lintian could find was that this golem was dumber than a demonic beast. In order to avoid the attacks Lintian has been phasing through it.
It’s reflexes were fast too and Lintian only manage to dealt one or two blow to it. It did absolutely close to zero damage. There was also no way Lintian could get close enough to use the soul penetrating punch.
Lintian also realizes that the spiderweb area has already healed too.
Boom! Bang! Boom!
The golem’s movements were large but the speed and power made up for it.
Lintian had no choice but to activate his thousand armament transformation technique and try out his new method of deployment. Strand after strand of threads began to fly out of the ground like thousands of spiders on the ground pointing their butts at the golem.
The threads twists and turns until it became nearly uncuttable. Due to the Golem being predictable Lintian was able to tie it down instantly.
The Golem raged but it was unable to do anything. The threads contained trace amounts of the materials from the floor, with his lightning and fire qi. Combine that with thousands of threads twisted together it gives the rope enough power to endure high tension and tensile strength.
Due to that no matter how much the golem struggles it could not move at all. Even through this technique was able to hold it down it was a huge drain on Lintian’s qi.
Instantly Lintian’s right hand blazes up with lightning and fire qi. Lintian’s hand was like a dragon claw as fire and lightning fused together.
Swoosh! His body seems to teleport to the Golem as his claw like hands became a spear penetrating through the golem’s neck.
This was a move that could kill King realm cultivators never mind a mindless golem.
Then to make sure the golem was destroyed he redirect the lightning fire fusion qi downward, severing the humanoid dragon in half.
From the beginning till now only 2 minutes had passed. His qi was completely drained as the Armament of a Thousand transformation technique shattered away.
Lintian knocks on the door. It opened up and he came out victoriously.
“Done!” Lintian said to the teller.
The look on the teller’s face was disbelief and surprise as she told the guard to check.
Even the guards came out stunned.
“You! Cheated somehow!” accused the Teller.
“I did not,” Lintian refutes calmly. “If you like I can show you how I did it after I regained my qi.”
“We will provide you with the weapons this time and strip you of your clothes and uniforms. We will also supply a uniform for you,” the Teller said.
Lintian sighs, “if its like that might as well let go in naked with an underwear. A golem is just a dumb beast how can it match intelligence?”
The teller than whispers in the guards ears to sent out a message.
Lintian didn't mind facing another one. In his heart he was complaining to himself. If you wanted to prevent cheating just installs some fucking camera.
Even Tang who was on the side watched in disbelief. He was only thinking of staging for twenty minutes before going back because Lintian might just give up and come back with him.
Even he faced the golem once and the golem nearly killed him with a giant heavy sword of his. Even through it was a mindless golem it’s power and speed was more than enough to make up for it.
“You can go to the elemental dragon’s section to meditate until you recover,” advised the teller.
“Suits yourself,” Lintian said arrogantly as he went off to the section of the elemental dragon. It has been a while since he has ponder on the laws of lightning and fire. Maybe this will help him break through stage 3 of the Divine Lightning Body God’s Art.

The story follows as the boy encounters many different things along his growth and embarks on a journey to uncover the mysteries of his past and discover his destiny. Note from Author Hello, readers. This is a rewrite of the original Phoenix Rising that I had started way back in 2014 and am still going with over 500 chapters. I am rewriting from scratch on this one because, when I looked back at the earlier chapters, I found out that I had made a lot of mistakes, plot holes that went unexplained, and links missing between events. That's why, I've decided to write from the beginning with a new vision of improving the story, bridging the missing links, and change our certain events happened to make a much better story than the original. So, I thank each and every one of you for giving this story a chance, and I hope that you will come to like it. Please do leave comments down in each chapter to give me possible feedback or any suggestions for me to improve my story on. I gladly accept all advices from my readers and promise I will adapt to the best I possible could with the vision I have for this story. Phoenix Rising: Wikia

Era: Dawn of the New Gods
Concise Synopsis: This is a post-apocalyptic story about the origins of various powerful figures that appeared after the apocalypse event. During the apocalypse monsters appeared possessing powers and constitution beyond the limits of human understanding. They ravaged the world and brought down all governments. The first part of the story follows Jade, a terrorist that was ravaging the world before the monsters arrived. Dramatic Synopsis: The New Gods, the most feared and revered beings on the planet. They are forces capable of absolute destruction and creation. The Council of Branches Hayley, the Living Lie (if that is her real name) Chao Feng, the Prince of Stars Lara, the Mother of Heroes The Great City of Tver Gog, the Ever Losing War The Unkillable Freak Dave, the Flow Demon Avatari, (only the name is known) Satoshi, the Gentle Hurricane As Impactful as they are no one knew their origin, they are called the New Gods so there must be Old Gods. I and my collegues dedicated our lives to finding their origins only to find out that the beings we fear and adore were once like us, average, mortal and weak... at least most of them were. *It is a sort of reverse RPG as no one knows anything either skills, abilities or how the system works but they find out on their own or develop their own skills or abilites. *The story has many protagonists and point of views but it paints a beatiful story of survival in a world of endless perils for both the humans and the monsters(some monsters are protagonists). *There is a system but it is very limited (not overpowered) and treats everyone equally, monster or human. The system is very different from regular systems; no exp, levels and system items. *The story is a world building story where overall, the world is the true main character. The cover image photo is credited to Angel David *For now it's one chapter a day

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
