Book 2 Chapter 19: Distraction

“Alright,” Lintian said, “Sam step back. Once I get it you will take it and leave with it from down stairs. Then I will create a commotion upstairs to distract them from noticing you leaving. I believe Katrina programed a couple faces into the mask you are wearing. This is so they think we have failed.”

“Ok,” Sam said. There is a program on the sphere to shrink the size down from a basketball size metallic sphere to a tennis ball size metallic sphere so sneaking out with it wouldn't be a problem.

Sam took a couple steps back. Lintian then lets Rashu control Micheal’s qi inside the glove to cover his whole body. Once that was complete Rashu under the disguise of Lintian releases 5 rank 3 spell formations that was sent into the room’s spell array. With it the whole pattern for Micheal’s walking pattern disappeared and was replaced with Lintian’s walking pattern.

Lintian then walks through the whole room and grabs the sphere and brought out the other sphere from his interspacial ring or teleportation ring in this case. As he was turning around to go back Lintian’s hand fazes through the sphere and grabs two of the pills. He then uses his fazing qi to cover the two pills and brought it out of the sphere and used his ring to teleport it away.

This was all done under a single breathe of time. Even Sam who was watching diligently didn't see any suspicious movements. This is because as Lintian turns around he uses the sphere and body to block the movements of the arm fazing through. Furthermore since fazing is technically impossible in this world then nobody would suspect it.

When Sam saw those rank three spell formations he was already shocked because those spell formations Lintian sent out were incomparably deep and incomprehensible to him. Even through they were rank 3 formations with felt like rank 5 or 6 formations in terms of potential power.

Under these two guises nobody would suspect Lintian. Furthermore Lintian did it at an angle that not even the camera’s in the room would be able to pic up on it. Furthermore Since they entered the room Joe was able to hack his way to the camera. From there he fed it a loop where it shows the room being empty.

Lintian tosses Sam the sphere as he walks back to Sam.

“You go down out the front door and I’ll distract them to the room top. You got 3 to 4 minutes to go downstairs and leave,” Lintian said.

“Guys hurry up!” Joe said, “they grew suspicious when they saw what Katrina did to interfere them from following Lintian and will be here at the building in 6 minutes. Hurry up and get out. The elevator will take a total of 4 minutes to go from the your floor to the ground.”

“Go,” Lintian commanded and Sam dashes out the door and enters the elevator.

Lintian got out of the room and then closes the door.

“Joe wait 4 minutes then activate the gas to wake these guys up,” Lintian said.

“You sure? You escape right now and nobody will suspect a thing,” Joe said.

“He can’t,” Katrina’s voice said through the earpiece. “The moment you walked through that door with your presence the guards would have been suspicious and start asking questions. Once that happens they will connect the dots. Activate the awaking gas.”

Four minutes later Lintian heard a phwoosh! A colorless and odorless gas began to seep out of the vents. The three guards that fell asleep began to awaken.

As their eyes open they saw a figure in a black ninja clothing. He had a mask over his face and mouth. From the looks of the eyes the guards believe that Lintian was around 25 to 30 years old. It was technically true since Lintian used the face changing mask to change his face to a 32 year old man.

“What the hell that sleeping gas didn't fucking work?” Lintian swore under his breathe loud enough for them to hear.

“YOU!” one of the guards yells. “Who are you!”

Lintian ignores him and dashes towards them. Seeing this al three master realm guards activated their qi to their limits. Baring their claws at Lintian. Them moment their attacks were going to touch him Lintian used the Emperor’s steps to escape.

“EVERYONE THE THIEF HAS MADE IT ONTO THE SECRET FLOOR!” one of the guards yell into his intercom. This message was announce throughout the building.

Some of the people were like huh? How do I get on the secret floor?

The secretary guards on the first floor realizes what has happen and began to call the Patriarch on his emergency phone.

“Sir, the security has been compromised!” the guard yells through the phone.

“INCOMPETENT FOOLS!” Patriarch Hawthorne yells through the phone in rage. The car sped up from 110 mph to 160 miles per hour.

30 master realm experts with the security clearance began to use the elevator and secret stair cases to run up to that floor.

Lintian was in the room battling those three security guards. Lightning flashes around the room. Luckily those three Master realm experts were two earth cultivators and one fire cultivator at the 4th, and fifth stage. Due to that Lintian’s speed was twice faster than theirs a couple levels.

Lintian was thinking of bringing out his void sword but it was too flashing and due to the design if he uses it then he will likely be caught later due to it.

The lightning in his body increase Lintian speed to the max. No other cultivator’s speed in the martial realm can compare with Lintian’s. Thanks to his speed and eyes Lintian managed to keep up with them.

A minute later Lintian found an opening. As his right knee flashes toward one of the guards his left hand moves to the band on his knee. While his body crouches toward that guard. While he saw another guard coming in from his right Lintian right hand moves toward the band on his risk. In a single breath both of the guards died and Lintian flew backwards due to the guard he was kneeing using some kind of fire martial art skill to hit his chest.

The two guards didn't even notice they had died. This is because the two shadow knives that flew was flying at a speed that was invisible to the naked eye. This invisibility was also due to the way the knives were designed.

One had a hole through his chest and another had a hole through his throat.

Lintian hits the wall and felt that his chest actually indented in a bit. Two of his ribs broke and the others were close to breaking. If it wasn’t due to the fact that he killed that guard in the nick of time then he would surely be dead. The guard’s death prevented him from using this earth martial art skill to it’s fullest.

The last guard stares at Lintian in surprise but regain his conscious and charges toward Lintian to finish Lintian off. Due to this shock and him gaining a realization he didn’t notice that there were two shadow knives flying toward his neck and spine from behind.

This was a speed that unless one was paying attention it would not be avoidable at the last second.

Ding the elevator opens up. Lintian saw this and cursed. Give me a f*cking break!

Still feeling the pressing pain from his chest Lintian grunts, “Joe hijack all the video feeds right now. I am about to do something crazy!”

“Aye aye, captain,” Joe answers happily and began to crunch away at his computer.

Lintian ran into the room where the sphere was. He then reaches into his interspacial ring and brought out the tiny bomb Joe made.

“Check and mate,” Lintian grins and shouts out as he slide backwards staring at tall the Master Realm cultivators rushing out of the elevator. He injects the bomb with his qi as he threw it into the air. All the cultivator’s face turn ashen as they realize what the object Lintian threw was. They all quickly move their hands up to their face and chest while a large amount of qi became visibly solid to protect themselves and as they retreat to a safe place. Sadly the room was sealed so there was no place they can run too.

Lintian whispered something and stopped hearing the world as a whole. Dead silence.

Then a weak ripple of energy passed outward from the grenade. Feeling this weak energy, everyone stared at with a what the f*ck and dumbfounded kind of expression. They all began to laugh like crazy.

“HAHAHA This retard can’t even throw an energy grenade properly!”

AH F*CK! Lintian thought in his head.
