Book 2 Chapter 17-Not Enough Time

Lintian pops in a qi recovering pill and began to put on the mask and clothes. His face instantly morph into Micheal’s face. Once he puts on Micheal’s clothes and conceals his aura nobody could tell the difference. Unless a Heaven’s realm cultivator probes him then he is completely like Micheal. Lintian was shorter than Micheal by an inch but the shoes Katrina gave Lintian made up for it. He also puts in the earphones. Once the car pulls up to the front of a tall skyscraper like building Lintian got out of the car. In another car that follows another person got out. Lintian instantly recognizes him as the nerdy guy that was head over heels for Diana. It was Sam. He was also in disguise but Lintian already knew what he was going to look like so Lintian instantly recognizes him.

This is where the operation begins. Once they were ready Lintian and Sam walks through the crystal clear glass door. Lintian had an arrogance face on. He took a glance at the guards standing before another glass door like they were ants. Sam follows behind quietly. First part was getting through this door guarded by these security guards.

The guards looks at Lintian and they felt a chill run down their spine. They had seen the young master many times and every single time his attitude and manner was always like this. Not being able to even speak. Lintian brought out a card from the interspacial ring and swipes it between the two glass doors.

This better work Lintian thought anxiously but he still has his poker face on. In the next second a green light runs around the door. The door clicks and opens. Lintian walks through the security door and doesn't even give the security guards a second glance. This was the arrogance of a young master.

After going through the door Lintian came upon a huge room with multiple doors leading to different areas. Lintian then saw the elevator. Except this elevator was a trap designed by the company incase someone disguises themselves and manage to get across the guards. Luckily Joe snuck in a spider to scan the whole building and found the second elevator hidden behind a wall. The spider also took a video of how they get in.

Walking over to an ordinary Lintian swipes his card again. The door opens and they both went in.

“Lintian you are need to hurry it up,” said a smooth crisp voice. It was Kristina’s voice.

“Ok,” Lintian mutters under his breathe.

Lintian pushes the card onto the wall. Then a keypad emerges out of the wall. Lintian inputs all the codes exactly like the ones obtained with Joe’s spider video.

The wall slides open and an elevator emerges.

Lintian and Sam both steps into the elevator.

“Lintian we are going to need to crunch down the time. I didn't think after your performance this damn family would sent a king’s realm expert after you,” Lintian heard Katrina said in the microphone.

Lintian’s eyebrows moves together and tenses up a bit.

“The elders protecting me caught on to the suspicious movements and has already dealt with him. We couldn't kill him but we did slow him down and he lost track of you. The Patriarch is coming back to the building already and will arrive in 20 minutes. Basically the time is cut from 30 to 40 mins to 20. So we will move on to plan K3. I will distract him down as much as possible but you will need to find another way out besides the roof top since right now we can’t create a commotion downstairs to distract them paying attention to the roof top extraction plan.”

“Got it,” Lintian whispers back. Lintian took a glance at Sam and he looks like he was ready to pee himself.

Lintian steps into the elevator and began to go through the process. He swiped his card and an eye scan came down to scan Lintian’s eyes. The weight measurement activated to take Lintian’s weight. The same thing activate for Sam.

Ding!

They both passed and a hidden button emerged. Lintian presses the button and the elevator began to move.

“Joe now,” mutters Lintian under his breathe signaling Joe to activate the sleep gas. From the moment they entered the building to the point where they reach floor X a total of 6 minutes has passed. Lintian and Sam both puts on a special mask made by Joe when they walked out. This mask is paper thin but it covers the nose and mouth.

They saw that all three guards here and fallen asleep. Knocked out to be exact.

Lintian walks over to the door they were guarding.

Once he puts his key card into the system scanner all the biometric system activated. The weight system and eyeball scan automatically activated and scans Lintian. Two green lights appeared on the screen. Then a fingerprint system activated and a pad appeared before Lintian. This was the tricky part. He has to move Micheal’s qi into the system without letting any of his qi slip. Good news was Lintian practiced it a couple times in the last two days but with only a 80% success rate. Lintian slowly controls his qi to grab Micheal’s qi in the glove.

Then he split up all the qi into tiny pieces. After that he began to control his qi to swing them all in a circle. The tricky put is that as he controls 200 pieces of Micheal’s qi he has to release them at the exact same time which isn't tricky but he can’t let any of his qi swing with it.

Lintian breathes in and then breathes out. Syncing his breathing pattern to the speed of his qi swings.

Release!

The qi all stops their swinging momentum in one instant! All 200 hundred pieces of Micheal’s qi flew forward.

Damn!

Lintian felt one of his qi flying forward with Micheal’s qi. Miniature qi strings shot forth grabbing onto that tiny aspect of his qi and pulls it back.

Ding!

Ding!

Two green lights appears and the door opens up.

Lintian and Sam both walks through the door.

“Hey get in get out quick. The sleeping gas will only work for 43 more mins,” Joe said through the intercom.

“There is enough time,” Lintian said out loud.

The whole room was empty except for one thing. A sphere like object floating in the middle of the room enchantingly.

Lintian was about to take another step forward when Sam grabs him.

“Don’t move another step,” Sam said.

“Why?” Lintian asks.

“There are 20 formations placed all around the room. Another step and you would have activated all of them. These formation would then silently sent a signal to the Valiant family Patriarch.”

“How do you know? I don't sense or see anything that could make the formation.”

“You would not be able to see it or sense it but I am different. My eyes can see the fluctuation of formations, and qi in this world. This is why Katrina wanted me to come along with you. Not because you can’t break formation since you are rank 3 too but to watch out for formation traps.”

“That makes sense I guess,” Lintian replies scratching his head. Even through he said that Lintian already knew about the formations in front of him. His dragon eyes could also see the fluctuation of qi but right now in the martial realm it was still relativity weak. He can only see them very faintly like transparent plastic foil. What Lintian sees is like a whirlpool of invisible energy going around the sphere. A little like when a fire is strong enough to distort the image above it.

Sam on the other hand can see the formations and the connections of these formations clearly like someone gave him new prescription glasses to wear that makes everything crystal crisp.

“Alright since you can’t see the formations I’ll make them visible so you can see and help,” Sam said.

“Katrina is distracting the Valiant family right now. So you have 12 more minutes until they arrive. I don't know how long she would be able to distract them for but use 12 minutes at the most and get out right after. Do not idle around,” Joe’s voice said worryingly.

“No problem,” Lintian said out.

“Lintian I don’t think you understand this formation at all. This formation will take at least an hour to crack,” said Sam in distress. Sam waves his hand outward and some sort of energy burst forth.

The empty room sparkles like a disco ball. Then it settles down and what Lintian saw even caused him to sweat.

“This, this, this is 18 rank 4 spells and two rank 5 spell formations! There’s no way we have enough time even with the two of us,” Lintian stammers a bit.
