Book 2 Chapter 11:Present By Alchemy
“Boss its only 8 in the morning why are rushing?” Kyuri yawned mentally.
“It’s because the fluorite flower only blooms in the morning between 8 and 9. It’s a flower that will help her get into the third stage of the martial realm. The effect is at it’s most potent when it is just picked and freezes when it blooms. Fly faster.”
“Aye, aye boss,” Kyuri grins and immediately increased his speed.
About 20 minutes later they arrived in Granite Forest. This forest is actually a low level demonic beast forest. It stretches about 300 hundred miles. They have been here multiples before so Lintian and Kyuri both knew the location of the flower.
Kyuri was about to glide into a landing when he felt that something was off. There were over 200 demonic beasts swarming that location. They were all at the very least in tier two. Some were even in tier three. They were not life threatening but when so many were together it causes problems.
Lintian’s face went into a frown. Lintian stared at the demonic beasts crawling around below. Great, he thought. Why? Just why? I just want one time where it would be simple.
“Dive down and distract them from the air. I’ll hide my qi and get the flower as quickly as possible and leave.”
Kyuri angled his body into a dive. When they were near the trees Lintian jumped off like a leaf flowing through the breeze. Not a single one of those Demonic beasts even noticed him.
Kyuri on the other hand made a huge racket in the forest. All their beady black eyes shifted their gazes toward Kyuri’s beautiful red and blue body.
Kyuri opens his mouth shooting out salmon color flames. The demonic beasts feeling the heat began to flee.

Lintian saw the fluorite color flower. It was a mix of purple, green and even blue. Lintian snuck closer and closer towards it. A knife appears from his interspacial ring and he was like a machine cutting 10 of those flowers and incasing them into a freezing container he prepared weeks ago. Kyuri seeing what Lintian did swoops down towards him. All the Demonic beasts realized what has happened and went into a frenzy. They all charged toward Lintian like possessed monsters.
Lintian leaps into the air grabbing onto Kyuri’s hands. Then climbs onto Kyuri’s back.
“That went well don’t you think,” said Lintian.
“Hahaha, boss your too daring,” Kyuri laughs.
“Perhaps,” Lintian told Kyuri, “but, I think its time to go back. I still have to make this into something useable.”
Back at the school in the Alchemy department room Lintian whips out a cauldron about the same size as a bathtub and began to fill it with water. Then he turns on the fire and blazes it at 2000 degrees celsius. A minute later the water began to boil. From his interspacial ring Lintian summons 6 different color veils blue, green, red, orange, purple, and yellow. He opens all of them up and pour it into the cauldron. Then he brought out and extra blue veil and pours that in too. Afterwards he began to stir the liquid in the cauldron like a mad wizard. When the color was just about muddy brown with a hint of blue Lintian controlled the fire at the bottom of the cauldron to fly around and attack the liquid. After that Lintian brought out 6 stalks of Fluorite flower and controlled the fire to heat the Fluorite flower. The flower sitting inside the sphere of flames began to slowly melt. It was not burning like how you would think when a plant meets fire but melted like metal instead.

Lintian then slowly increases the temperature of the flame by injecting it with his fire qi. Due to his SS ranking of his affinity with fire the fire qi he harnessed were extremely pure. As the flames temperature rises higher Lintian began to merge it into the cauldron. With extreme caution Lintian created a tunnel for the melted Fluorite flower to drip into the liquid he made earlier. Sweat were pour down Lintian’s forehead like the great Niagara Falls. This part was the part that many Alchemist were fail at due to the extreme precision needed. Each drop of liquid from the flower cannot touch the flames but it must also be heated along the way down.
The muddy brown water with a blueish hint began to change colors. The brown would begin to disappear as a orangish color take over. After half an hour of doing this Lintian finally finished. Lintian plumped down onto the floor as balls of sweat drip from all over his body like he just jumped into a pool with his clothes on.
Stretching his neck he thought, this is why I hate doing alchemy. At least thirty percent of his qi was spent on this. After a minute of cooling Lintian got up again and release his qi into the cauldron to gather the remaining purple puddle of grade 4 Fluorite Ascending Water into 3 vials of 6 ounces. If Lintian was to sell these vials he would be able to get 60,000 qi stones per vial.
After storying the Fluorite Ascending Water veils away into his interspacial ring Lintian left the room. It was about 2:15 right now.
Lintian decided to run off to the qi gathering formation room to cultivate. In other words nap. It has been almost two months since he reach the tenth stage of the Martial realm.
Lintian opened up the door to find that there were at least 800 students in the room cultivating. Keep in mind that this room was the size of a football field. Hard workers, Lintian thought, but I’ll take a nap. Lintian nimbly weaves through the crowd until he found a good spot in the center somewhere. Everyone was so deep into cultivation that they didn’t even noticed him coming in.
Lintian brought out two blankets and a pillow from his ring. Then he lays it out onto the floor. Put one blanket on floor and one on top of him and began to nap. The qi essence began to dance around him as he slowly drifts off into a deep slumber. As time passed some got up and looks at Lintian. What is wrong with him? Some wondered as they left. Time flowed like a snap of the finger. 7 hours went by and many students went in and out already.
For the next two days Lintian did nothing but cultivate and eat. It wasn’t until Chelsie’s birthday that Lintian stops.
Getting up Lintian felt like he is at the very tip of the mountain and can fall over anytime now. Just a few more hours and he would be at the Master realm. Sadly he just ran out of time and he needs to be at the party.
“Alright Kyuri, time to get going,” Lintian said and went back to his room to change into a brand new sets of clothes.
