Book 2 Chapter 1
Lintian dropped into a deep coma that no one could identify. A thin dark green luster covers his whole body. Every examination that Lintian went under came back as normal function. His brain shows no sign of damage, but his brain activity is a bit low. This shows that he not conscious or had the ability to think, like someone in a coma. It wasn’t until a couple months after that it happened to Lintian that Harris found out that there were 15 other cases of this event happening all around the world. Each one of them were monsters in their generation. Meaning they were geniuses within geniuses within geniuses within geniuses. Chelsie came to visit him everyday and so did Harris. Others came less often. Diana came once in a while too. Alex came not as often as Chelsie but still quite often since he felt guilty of his actions that day. In a way what Lintian said that day drove him to become stronger and abandon that silly notion of him being the strongest. He moved passed lying to himself.
During that year in the middle of the night an assassin appeared in Lintian’s hospital room. He slipped a ring onto his finger. It was an interspacial ring. After he did that he disappeared into the night.
A year has passed since Lintian enter into his coma. His body grew weaker and weaker each passing day. The doctors tried their best to preserve the muscles on his body but all it did was slow down the deterioration rate. When a muscle is not being used it will grow weaker. While his body grew weaker his soul grew stronger. Lintian’s soul became as strong as a rank 1 spell master within a year. Generally speaking without the aid of spiritual fruits, pills, or formation this would be an astonishingly fast rate. Generally speaking someone who just solely focused on strengthening the soul would take at least five to seven years to reach rank one. Then another fifteen years for rank two. Twenty years for rank three. After that twenty years for rank four if they can break pass the bottle neck. This is the growth rate for normal spell masters. Geniuses would take two years for rank one. Three for rank two. Five for rank three. This is all without the aid of spirit fruits, soul pills, and formations. Raising the soul is harder than raising qi but the power it brings was stronger too. Generally speaking a spell master would train both of them in balance but life isn't always fair and eventually some spell master would hit a bottle neck they can never pass and just focus on qi which is easier and faster.

A total of two years has passed and Lintian’s soul has increased to a rank two spell master. His body strength was half of his former self. Another year passed and Lintian’s soul was now the equivalent of a rank three spell master. His body grew taller but his muscles grew skinnier. The doctors managed to keep Lintian’s body health by injecting nutrients and calories into his body. Also from time to time use qi to help strengthen the bones.
4011ZD in the months of July as the leaf blew by a change has begone on Lintian’s body. The green light began to dim and seep back into his body. Then it dispersed into powder and wisp away into the distant sky.
Lintian opens his eyes. His mouth felt dry and his body felt like lead but he was truly happy. He doesn’t know why but he was just smiling. His heart and chest felt all warm. He remembers up to the night of his departure. Something in his mind was tell him that everything was going to be alright. That his foster parents are not dead but still living. He remembers back to that night again but this time it was with clear focus. His soul was now equivalent to a rank three spell master. Everything seems to come to him in extreme clarity. When he saw his parents being murder he now understood that it was all just an illusion. The events leading up to it made no sense at all. How could he just randomly enter into an empty house and then witness his parents being murdered? How could he just faze through Denzel? All those details now became extremely clear to him like he woke up from a dream.
Lintian moves his head toward the light weakly and noticed that it was morning. The sunlight on his face. It felt like a gentle kiss from heaven.
Creak. The door creaks open. A female doctor and her assistant walks in like they normally do to check on Lintian’s vitals.
“Yeah so Mr. Bryan is going into surgery tomorrow make sure Ben is hear on time we don't want a repeat of what happened last time,” the doctor said out loud to his assistant.
“Yes madam, is there anything else?”
Bump! The assistant slams into the doctor.
“Madam are you ok?” the assistant asks wondering why she suddenly stopped.
“Yes I’m fine,” she said slowly. “He’s awake.”
“Whose awake?” the assistant asks still feeling the bruise on his head.
“Get the nurses, psychiatries, and call Harris!” the good doctor yells. She hurries over to Lintian dropping everything else.

“Look over here,” the doctor commands Lintian.
Lintian weakly turns his head to face the doctor.
“Can I get some water?” Lintian asks in a raspy voice.
“Oh yes.” She went into his interspacial ring and brought out a water bottle. Seeing how weak Lintian she helped Lintian sit up on the bed. She then slowly put the water to his mouth. This water was probable the best tasting water in the world. Lintian felt like he hadn't drink water in like three years. Technically speaking he has not.
After a bit Lintian was swarmed with nurses, doctors, and psychiatries. After a while they conformed that he was fine and just need a physical therapist to get back in shape.
Harris came by. “Lintian are you ok?
“Yeah, I’m fine,” Lintian replied with a smile. From the facial expression and body language Harris determine that he was fine.
“Do you know where my parents are?” Lintian asks. He only asks because he has a feeling that Harris knows something.
“No, I don’t know,” answers Harris honestly.
“Are they still alive?” Lintian asks testing the water.
Harris could feel something different about Lintian. These are simple questions but Harris felt that Lintian’s eyes were probing his every twitch, and movement. Like he was testing him.
“Yes, they are still alive,” Harris replied. “When I got to the villa that day to investigate there were no sign of struggle of blood, but I advise you not to go find them.”
“Why?”
“There are forces at work you cannot deal with. Even I would die without a struggle,” Harris answers.
“Um. Dr. Harris your strength is very similar to mine…”
“Hahaha maybe,” Harris winks. “Anyway you should get back to top form as fast as possible. I talked with the principle and we will be going on an adventure for a bit.”
“Where too?” Lintian asks a little bit excited but on the other hand he still wants to find his parents first.
“Everywhere on this continent for two years and you are going to make it back for the national school competition that happens once every four years. The last one happened about 5 months ago. We have been selected as one of the second rate school that will compete in the first division school competition. We are kinda like cannon fodder for them. Since we are the best second rate school then naturally they would want to destroy us as an example. Your principle is a very ambition person and wants to come out shining in that competition. Due to your growth speed three years ago she has high expectations of you. She believes that in two years time you can create another miracle like the one you did before. Like leaping your cultivation into the martial realm in less than a year.”
“Fine but I have one condition,” Lintian said. His brain just thought of it like he has done this before.
“What would that be?” Harris asks in surprise. He thought that Lintian’s mind would still be that of an 8 year old.
“I want the principle to try and find my parents. I want the answer two weeks before the competition begins or I won’t compete.” He specifically said the principle because he remembers the day that he saw Denzel and the principle together. It just so happens that the day that he witnessed that illusion that Denzel was in there. Therefore Lintian concluded that he was definitely connected somehow.
“Thats fine,” Harris answers. Harris assumed that the principle doesn't know the truth behind the disappearance and will definitely agree to help. Therefore any consequences would befall on her. Furthermore whether she finds them or not, was her issue not his.
Harris was the calculating type. The principle tasked him with training Lintian to be able to win the competition and that is what he will do. Furthermore over the three years that Lintian has been in a coma he has developed a bond with Lintian. A little bit like a Master and disciple relationship but one closer to family. This is because Lintian reminded him of someone he use to love in the past, but that is another story for another time.
“I won’t keep you any further. Tomorrow the physical therapist will come by and try to bring you back to your original health. Furthermore we need to get your fire qi training in as fast as possible. Thankfully your coma paused the adaptation rate of the lightning qi inside your dantian,” Harris said.
“Thank you,” Lintian said and went back to sleep. His body was extremely weak. Lintian closed his eyes and began to cultivate qi. The qi were like moths flying toward a flame. Its strange Lintian felt like his absorption speed actually increased but his meridian points were still the same as before. Lintian decided to ponder this a bit further as his consciousness drifts off. His body was tired and can’t keep up with his mind. Naturally he will feel tire and sleep.

The Dungeon of Evolution
The greatest mage and researcher in the universe, Ian Irwin, known to only his closest friends died at far too young an age. For their own goals and to give the mage another chance at life, the Gods and Goddesses reincarnated him into a dungeon. Most would shudder at the thought, in fact Ian did, but not for the same reasons. The plants, animals, fungi, and monsters that inhabited dungeons fascinated Ian in a way nothing besides his wife had. Ian had studied everything he could about dungeons and now he could be one. Traumatising Content: Besides the purpose of dungeons, the presenting of evil morals as a positive is not present in this novel. Evil morals themselves, however, are present. Combined with the gore tag, there will be imagery present that could be considered traumatising. The absence of the sexual content tag means there will be no scenes of that nature. I, the author, apologize to any previous readers that, due to my previous clarification, read the story with the belief that scenes of disturbing imagery would not be present.

Second Wind, legend of Pandemonium (Finished/Incomplete)
The developers of the worlds leading VRMMORPG Edge Online have decided to shut down its servers after over a decade. Shugireth Darkstar, the leader of Pandemonium, Edge Online's top guild, suffers from a deadly disease and his end is near. He hasn't left his VR pod for 5 years, as the medical nanodroids at the hospital takes care of him. Without Edge, he will die, because his physical body has already been all but destroyed by the sickness. Seeing no light at the end of the tunnel, Shugireth Darkstar, the Master of Pandemonium, stubbornly stays behind as the servers shut down... If that was all, we could end this story right here. However, that was only the beginning of the legend of pandemonium. The prelude to the movement, if you will. Shall we see what happens next? -------------- Some notes from Me (The author, gasp surprise): I first wrote this (100k) as an experiment. I saw the advice about having foils for overpowered MCs, and I watched quite a few lectures on writing. I wanted to test things out for myself and see if I could carry a story through other ways than only relying on physical conflict like some thrillers do. Thus this might lean a bit towards slice of life with a romance subplot, but I don't want to give my story away so read it if u want to know more. This was basically never intended for anyone else's eyes but my own, and written to explore writing as a process. This wasn't my attempt at writing a good book, but it turned into something that I think might interest some people, so I decided to pop it up here. It is slightly old so my style and writing skills have advanced considerably since I first started this thing. Having said that, I think it's pretty readable, but I am very interested in how other people will receive this. Please feel free to criticize it and just in general shoot me some feedback on what you think. It contains light Litrpg elements, not heavy table spam, it's just the basis of the world. Although I like that sort of thing, this was written before I even knew of Royalroad and hadn't considered litrpg much. Some of you may recognize that it was slightly inspired by Overlord. Also, the Tags for sexual content and traumatizing content are there as a precaution on all of my stories pretty much, even if my story does not contain any of that at the moment. I can't really know what the future will bring, but in the case of this story I do know a little bit, since I wrote 100k words before posting it here. And I just posted it on a whim because I figured some readers on Royalroad might enjoy this story.

Crimson Gloom
Crimson Gloom. The time when the moon turns crimson, illuminating the landscape with its crimson glow. The time when the ‘doors’ to the Crimson Abyss open. One shall gaze into the abyss and gain its secrets and powers. Concurrently, the abyss also gazes into oneself, gaining one’s sanity and humanity. Dimensional rifts appeared spontaneously on Earth, bringing otherworldly demons along with the Crimson Gloom. Bloody battles were fought, noble sacrifices were made. Humans eventually sealed the rifts and successfully defended their homeworld. Alas, the seals were not perfect. The Crimson Abyss continued to exist, slowly influencing Earth and its inhabitants. Half a century of relatively uneventful years passed… humanity slowly descended into corruption, and the majority of them knew nothing of the effects of the Crimson Abyss. Is there only the dreadful gloom left to the world? Can one find brightness in the increasingly gloomy world? The youth who had gazed into the Crimson Abyss had no answer, nor did he care. He only wanted the Crimson Gloom to end, to forever seal the Crimson Abyss. A mistake and a twist of fate led the youth into a seemingly totally different direction. Will he forget his lifelong goal? Will he instead step back onto his initial path that he fervently pursued? Disclaimer: I do not own the image on the cover. Image edited on canva.com. This piece of work, after all, is only a first draft and by no means an end product by an amateur (beginner) writer. Mistakes are bound to happen. With that said, I will strive to improve as I write. Feel free to point out errors and inconsistencies as you read. I thank you for your time. Finally, I pledge to not rewrite this novel until the first draft is completed.
