《Asura》Chapter 61-Inheritance

Lintian stares at this mysterious man walking towards him. In but a second the whole surrounding went dark. Only this man stood visibly in front of Lintian. He was about 10 meters away from Lintian. Then from each side of him a row of males and females appears in a straight line with Lintian in the center of the two line. With the fist man being the center a moon arise from this darkness. Lintian saw that each of these men and women held similar designs of this sword Void. It seems that this sword changes itself to fit the uniqueness of its user. Lintian also saw what looked like the Grim Reaper himself in this line with its black scythe.
All these men and women gave off a terribly eery sensation. It was not as terrible as the first man but just as terrifying. It seems that they all killed over a million lives. Lintian turns around and saw that there were at least over 500 hundred of these terrifying men and women on each side. So about a thousand all together.
In a split second they all set down their weapons onto the ground. THUMP!
“Zhang Xiaowei!” The man that seems to be the leader shout.
Lintian’s heart shuddered as his attention immediately shifts back to him. How does he know my name? That’s my true name. No one called me that since I came to this continent.
“You have met the requirement to inherit the Void Sword Legacy,” this man’s voice echo’s deeply throughout this empty space.
“Ok.”
“For the final requirement we will test your resolution, your conviction, and your purpose of power!”
Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump! The thumping speeds up. Million’s of pictures swirls in the air. Lintian couldn’t make out the pictures. They were all a blur. They were swirling around in an infinity loop pattern in a length of at least 100 meters above Lintian’s head. Eventually these images floating in this infinity shape current turns became multi colored. This current began to set upon Lintian.
The center of this loop went through Lintian’s head. Each image floods into Lintian’s head creating a virtual reality situation for him. Lintian saw himself in the center and was looking at the action going on. It was one of the man with the Void Sword. Lintian assumed it was one of the one thousand in that line.

He was in the midst of a battle killing one man after man another.
“STOP! DON’T KILL ME! I”ll DO WHATEVER YOU SAY!” one man beg,
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry I didn't mean too. I was forced!” another man cried.
Swoosh! Both of their heads were cut off in an instant.
Another anecdote played. This time is was a woman. She stood before a man who stood in front of his child and wife. There were many bodyguards laying around on the floor all missing certain parts of their body but they were not dead. Thick red blood oozes out of their body.
“Stop don’t do it! If I die my wife my child!” he cried.
The woman with the void sword in his hand stares down on this man devoid of all emotion. Not even a hint of rage, empathy, guilt, and disgust remain.
“Please spare them!” he begs, “they had nothing to do with it.”
Blood splattered everywhere.
“What… What is this?” Lintian questioned as his mind became scared. His breathing and heart beat became erratic.
“This is the legacy of the Void Sword that I created.” A deep voice echoes. “Revenge, betrayal, mass murder, and the unappeasable pursuit of power!”
More images of death, slaughter, and massacres played in Lintian’s head.
“AHH STOP IT!” Lintian cried. His hands covering his head as his eyes were shut tightly. “STOP IT!”
“OPEN YOUR EYES AND LOOK! THIS IS YOUR DESTINY! THE REASON YOU WERE GIVEN LIFE!”
“PLEASE STOP! LET MY HUSBAND GO!” a women begged before she was brutally killed.
“DADDY! MOMMY! DON”T LEAVE ME!” a child screams as his parents were brutally murdered in front of his eyes.
“YOU WERE ABANDON AT BIRTH! YOUR PARENTS LEFT YOU!” this deeps voice continues.
“Please stop!” Lintian begs as tears flood from his eyes. Not only were they playing images of the sins all 1000 of these bearers of the Void Sword committed but also of Lintian’s own family discussing his death.
“YOU WERE ABANDON EVEN BY YOUR OWN FAMILY! SIMPLY FOR HAVING A GIFT! OPEN YOUR EYES AND LOOK AT THE CRUELTY OF THIS WORLD! THEY ABANDONED YOU! THEY SENT YOU TO A COMPLETELY NEW CONTINENT JUST SO THEY CAN BE SAFE! SAFE FROM A DEVIL’S CHILD LIKE YOU!”

How could Lintian who was only eight years old with no true experience of cruelty bear this? Even through he was ordered to his death he still had his uncle Ming for support. Here he is alone and left to his own devices.
“IN THIS WORLD! POWER IS EVERYTHING! WITH STRENGTH NO ONE WOULD DARE DEFY YOU! POWER CHANGES EVERYTHING! LOOK!”
WAHH! Lintian screams out.
“Mommy? Where did you go?” a child questions as she sits in front of her dead mother’s body.
“If you want strength you must have the resolve to wield the karmic sins of all the wielders before you! Inherit their great legacies!”
“Wield their karmic sins? Great legacies?” Lintian questions. His voice had a hint of anger. “I can never be this cruel.”
“Yes! If you want great power you must be able to wield these sins!”
Somehow Lintian’s mind became clearer. Images of his new life flooded through his memories. His days with his new mother. His new father. His new brothers and sisters. The fun times he had with Yuki, Kira, and Tsuna. The time his Uncle Ming took him pet shopping. The time Kyuri hatched. The time his new dad Mao took him to buy this weapon. The fun times he had with Mr. Rashu. The times he studied and practiced with Dr. Harris. His adventures with Xintong. The peaceful nights he spent with Kyuri.
“NO!” Lintian screams. A small fire was lit inside of him. His new family was not becoming part of his soul. All these memories were becoming something inseparable to him. “If this is the power of the strong then I don’t want it.”
“HAHA you think you have the rights to decide what you want and don’t want? Did you get too decide whether your parents left you or not? Did you get to decide whether you were ship to this continent or not? Did you have the rights to decide any single aspects of your life?”
It struck a blow on Lintian but somehow his mind was clearing. His facial expression became calmer. This was the affect of the Asura. To adapt.
“You will change this world. For good or bad I don’t really care. You are our son and that’s all that matters.” Lintian heard his father’s words. “Anyway, as a man you should take some risk and not be a ***** when in danger. Also always remember this when your training or in any type of situations. Everything has a weakness. No matter how strong or invincible it is it has a weakness. Also never think you’re the smartest one in the room, unless you’re me. Don’t show of too much unless you have the strength to back it up. Mhmm. Think outside the box. If you can’t solve a problem this moment walk away and come back to it later. Pretty much be tricky, wise, and smart and strong and not strong and stupid. Those guys future are so limited so much talent and yet so weak.”
The fire grew bigger. His heart became stronger and firmer.
“If this is the power of the sword then I don’t need it,” Lintian said with conviction.
“What you say!?” thousands of voice echoed.
“If it comes down to it I will destroy this sword to protect the people of my life. I don’t need a something that will harm my love ones to protect them!” Lintian’s rage echoed throughout the empty space.
All those people in here could feel Lintian’s conviction and resolution. No matter how strong Lintian’s conviction was they were still expressionless.
The man whose voice kept echoing throughout this empty space appears before Lintian as he stares down on Lintian. Releasing and oppressive aura that would have left any grown man scarred for life. His face was expressionless. All the void swords and weapons of the surround wielders began to glow to make the final decision.

A story of betrayal, creation, and conflict. But most of that sounds dangerous, so our (anti)hero is going to stay firmly planted in the backline for as long as possible. Thank you very much. He’s not strong. He’s not even brave. But he is a crafter. And someday, he'll become a candle that lights the way. Welcome to Oak.

I should have been the Hero instead
William Valenston had a happy life untill a new demonlord appeared. With the constant threat of the vile creatures he must quickly become a man and defend his Race from the approaching disaster. the synopsis and title will probably change later on And I think it gets better after arc 1 ch 3 The real story won't begin untill the heroes are summoned so you may feel a little bored while Im building the world and te mc' s personality. I wanted to state that this novel will start with a lighter tune but then get dark real fast. For the sexual content: it wont happen untill much longer. And when it happens it wont be overly explicit. Gore and traumatising content: It wont be at the level of nauseous but it may be too so just to be safe. This is my first try on writing novels so I welcome all of your criticism either good or bad. And lastly english isn't my native tounge so expect some grammer mistakes. But I will work on that part I promise.
