It turns out there was still a week left before this hunt was over. Lintian found out that after the event from last time he has two dantians now. Lintian wasn’t stupid and could connect the three dots. Kyuri has phoenix blood in his body and that is why he is called a phoenix dragon. Combined with the fact that Dr. Harris told him about the other Asura and the fact that he was knocked out after Kyuri ate Rashu’s demonic core it could only mean that he gain the same bloodline ability that Rashu has through Kyuri. Therefore he went into his dreamland to talk to Rashu.

“Hey Rashu what is that ability that you have? It seems that after Kyuri ate your core he gained another ability,” Lintian said.

“Thats interesting, I never heard of such a thing before,” Rashu replied his ears perking up, “I don’t know what kind of ability that dragon has but mine is the Divine Ability Nine Suns Reserve. It is a weird ability that has to do with our tails. With our clan the more tails we possess the stronger our ability is. I possess 6 tails and have a total of six dantians. Our current leader himself possesses 8 and our 5 Gods possesses all nine tails. These dantians act like a reserve for your qi. You will have one primary Dantian and then gain a total of 8 more throughout your life. Depending on your talent you might gain all 8 or not. Each dantian has the same amount of accumulated qi as your main. When you fuse one dantian with your main you will break through one stage. Then every dantian you fuse with your main you will break pass another stage. When you fuse all 9 it is known that we enter a completely new realm that has never been reached before.”

“Oh. How do we open a new dantian? I saw 7 bright balls of energy in my Dantian system but I couldn’t access it,” Lintian said dumbfound.

“There are two ways to open those up. One is to pass through a realm. So if you reach the masters realm that you humans call it then you will open up another dantian. The other is use soul qi. That in itself is extremely hard. Even with my skills I was only able to open one extra,” Rashu said proudly.

Lintian began to do some calculating in his head.

“Wait Rashu. Even if I enter all the realms up to Emperor I can only get a total of 8 with my original.”

“Yes, that why most of us are only able to be at the 8th tail without the ability to advance. The last tail comes from nurturing one of the dantians. I originally had 7 dantians but when I was escaping I had to sacrifice one.”

“Okay, never mind that then. How do I fuse them?” Lintian asks excitedly.

“Haha, It is quite easy actually. All you have to do is think in your mind of the two merging. The only problem is when you cross over realms. I will teach you next time. It seems your little friend wants you,” Rashu chuckles.

Abruptly Lintian woke up to Xintong poking at him.

“Xintong?” Lintian sleepily asks.

“Lintian lets get started,” Xintong said.

Lintian checks his watch. It read 5:30.

“Its only 5:30 let me sleep some more,” Lintian said all grumpy.

“Oh,” Xintong said all disappointed, “I’ll go out first and meet up with you later.”

“Okay, okay, I’m awake.”

Lintian got ready and followed Xintong out. The breeze flows through the forest. Lintian took a big whiff of it to wake up.

“Is the little fox Akumy going to be joining us?” Xintong asks hopefully. Lintian could see the expectations in her eyes.

“No, she’s still to young. Kyuri will join us later through. Also about the demonic cores. I will be wanting some of it. I will only be hunting tier 3 beasts.”

“Only tier 3? Are you suicidal?” Xintong asks in disbelief.

“No, with my current strength hunting tier threes will be tough but not deathly. Also the reason I want some of the tier 3 is because you have a tier 4 core so you should have enough to win so I want to propose that I will get 50% of all the tier 3 cores. Tier 2 and 1 don’t need at all.”

“Why do you need demonic cores?” Xintong asks suspiciously. The reason she is suspicious because she knows that Lintian was not in the competition. Also she knows all the talented cultivators of her generation and Lintian’s name never ever came up. This type of strength does not come out of nowhere. Then again some people might be late bloomers.

“I can’t tell you at the moment but what I really want is tier 6 cores but right now I don’t have the ability to obtain those. So we will share the tier 3s agreed?”

From the way Lintian was talking it seems to be simplicity in itself to hunt tier threes to Xintong. At this moment being almost nine years old she has an admiration for strong individuals. Especially those she read about in legends and as of right now Lintian was one of those legendary figures. Heroes that are able to fight those significantly stronger than them.

“Fine,” Xintong replied.

“Your still injured so if you can be back up and act as a distraction that would be great.”

“Right now I really can’t but I can try. My nerves are ten times more sensitive than before and I still can’t use qi, but the good news is that they made pills to temporary suppress the nerves and allows me to use refinement realm qi temporarily.”

Lintian nodded his head and then went off through the forest looking for tier threes without giving her a chance to reply. He combined the two dantians together and his cultivation instantly rose to stage two with the density of stage five. Lintian kept his pace slow for Xintong to keep up. He saw a tier two monkey but they were in groups. There were 5 of them. These were all monkeys in the upper limit of the martial realm.

5 verse 2 Lintian sighed. Kyuri you there?

“Yes,” Kyuri replied mentally.

5 verse 3 should be doable Lintian thought.

“Xintong, do you have any long range attacks?” Lintian asks.

“Yes, but right now I now I can’t do it,” Xintong replied, “but I can still control water to interfere with their movements.”

“Ok. Do that. I’ll handle the rest. Still need to get use to this first.”

Xintong brought out 10 gallons of water and began her water manipulation.

Lintian hops outs. He stood in a visible view from Xintong. The little fox Akumy stood next to Xintong. The monkeys gave Lintian a brief glance and ignores him.

Lintian felt kind of bad doing this. The reason he didn’t launch a sneak attack was to see if they would attack him first. If they did he wouldn't feel that bad but they simply chose to ignore him. The monkeys chatter to themselves and leaped away, completely ignoring Lintian.

“Huh?” Lintian thought. He was flabbergasted. Normally when he meets a demonic beast they attack him without hesitation but this group chose to run away? Due to this Lintian decide not to chase them but the moment those monkeys left a group of Saber Baboon hops into view. These Baboons looks at Lintian with hostile intentions. It was 7 tier two saber baboons lead by a tier three saber baboon.

Oh we are **** Lintian thought. Before Lintian could even react those baboons launch into action. Leaping from tree to tree and coming at Lintian from all different directions.

Naturally Lintian was scared but he also loves challenges. Kyuri read Lintian’s thoughts and went after one of them.

Lintian operated the dancing moonlight body skill with the emperor’s steps and created illusionary images of himself. He appeared before a Baboon and unleash a soul penetrating fist aiming for the saber baboon’s chest. The baboon being a wild demonic beast had extremely fast reaction time and was able to react to it. It’s natural instincts kicked in brought his hand up like a human to block. The first came into contact and broke the Radius, and Ulna parts of the arm bone in one punch. This baboon screech out in pain and Kyuri appeared out of no where and sliced off its head. The other baboons was stunned by the Lintian, Kyuri combo. The Baboon leader looks upon his subordinates like a general planning for his next move.

Through this one encounter there were only 5 tier twos and 1 tier three left. Kyuri being of a dragon species completely overwhelm the tier two baboons with his superior strength, defense and speed. Furthermore Kyuri managed to enter tier two thanks to Rashu’s ability the

Nine Suns.

Kyuri, go back and protect Xintong I want to try this alone with Xintong’s water ability, Lintian told Kyuri because it was simply too easy with Kyuri. Lintian body speed was equal to the baboons making it less challenging but five verse one was a different story.

Come on I want some action too, Kyuri whined back. This message was between a mix of words and speech. In the end he still obeyed Lintian and went to guard Xintong.

While Kyuri was leaving he collected the two tier two cores and the baboons slowly circles around Lintian. The baboon leader exams Lintian like some exotic animal. This time all five jumps in at the same time. All coming at him from equal speed and distance.
