Chapter 31 Big Red Button
A week passed and Kyuri shown no visible change. Lintian found out that demonic beast usually eat other demonic beasts’ core in order to increase their own cultivation but since Lintian already absorb all the qi from it the demonic cores that Kyuri ate were basically pointless. So Lintian was still confused. Kyuri lays on top of Lintian’s stomach as Lintian ponders about tomorrow’s spell master test.
The next day Lintian went to school. He met up with Chelsey first.
“Hey Chels hows you're training going?” Lintian asked.
“Not to bad. Apparently he can’t teach us anything until we reach refinement realm five. What about you?” Chelsey said.
“About the same. He’s been teaching us how to detect lies and stuff. I had to read so many face expressions each day.”
“Oh, did he give you any refinement beads to refine?”
“No should he?”
“Well without it I don’t think I would be able to cultivate this fast. After I got it I am already half way to the second of the refinement realm.”
“That fast?” Lintian said amazed by this speed. Normally it takes two to three months for a person to get to the second of the refinement realm. He only broke through so fast because of his special body.
“Yeah. He’s trying to get us to the fifth stage within this year for the end of the year battle. My dad said to slow down and that cultivation with these beads are not good if the body is not ready.”
“Well, there’s always going to be drawbacks, but I agree with your dad.”
“Who do you think will be a spell master in this school? I’m hoping I can be one too.”
“I don’t know. I heard that only 1 in 10,000 people are spell masters.”
“I think spell masters are awesome. My cousin’s friend is a level 1 spell master and he could face a person three stages above him to a stalemate. Do you think you will be one?” Lintian thought her optimism was praise worthy.
“Well, I am pretty smart so theres a high chance,”smirked Lintian.
“Haha hope so last ranker,” Chelsey laughs, “you ready for that math test next week?”
“Yeah.”
“Wanna tutor me? I have no idea whats going on. Multiplications, fractions, shape ugh.”
“Haha sure. Do you want to come over to my house this Saturday? I have my own room so we can study their if you like?” Lintian said.

“Really?” Chelsey asked excitedly.
“Yeah.”
“Hey Lintian!”yelled Alex followed closely behind by Celyis, “what are you up to bro?”
“Oh hey Alex,”greeted Lintian then he introduces Chelsey, “this is Chelsey. She’s coming over to my house Saturday for that math test on Tuesday. Do you guys want to come over too?”
Alex saw Chelsey’s face and after Dr. Harris has been making him read faces for a week he got the hint.
“Nah, I’m good. The world’s strongest gotta train hard yah know?” he said. Out of the corner of his eyes he saw trouble coming. It was a boy clad in black with a group of misfits.
It was Loki and his gang. Loki began to walk over to Lintian’s group to ridicule them.
“FIRST YEAR STUDENTS PLEASE REPORT TO THE AUDITORIUM” announce a male voice over the intercom interrupting the tension.
“I guess its time for the test,” Lintian said matter of factly.
“I’ll see you later then Lintian,” Chelsey said and went back to her group.
“Ok see you later. Alex, Celyis lets go,” Lintian said. Their group left for the auditorium.
“Lintian lets sit over there” Alex pointed at a seat in the middle. Lintian followed behind him. He could hear some of the snickering. Grow up thought Lintian as they arrive at their bleach location.
Lintian and Alex sat there chatting with each other for about half an hour before everyone arrived. All the teachers stood to each corner of the auditorium. While the principle appeared on stage. She had a 3 inch thick disc that has a big red button in the middle of it with her.
“Students as you all know today we are testing if you have the aptitude to be a spell master. Going through every single one of you is tedious when the chances are 1in 10,000. Therefore we have this machine called the sleeper. It will sent out a signal to all 2000 of you and put you to sleep. Those who can stay awake can be spell masters those who fall asleep not so much. Also there is a way to resist this so we will have to do a thorough examination afterwards. Those who had training probable won’t get knocked out and those who don't will be in seconds.”
Without warning she pressed the big red button. A low hum sound rings out. Then an invisible pulse of energy expanded outward. Students began to fall asleep one after another. It was like watching the dominos fall. Beginning from the first row.

When the wave hit Lintian’s row his vision suddenly turned slightly blurry. However, as his surroundings turned blurry, he could see the symbol formations faintly printed on the circular disk that the principle was holding.
Suddenly his mind suddenly felt a poking sensation. That was conscious energy. Streams of formless conscious energy flows out from the disc and actually appeared in front of him poking at his mind. His mind somehow had conscious energy too, that formed a wall that prevent it from entering. Both sides conscious energy slowly wither away.
When two-third of the conscious energy were gone, his mind suddenly felt a violent stabbing pain. Instantly he awoken and found himself completely drenched in cold sweat. Stun, he did not understand what had just happened. He his eyes gazed shifts around looking at all the sleeping students. There were two others still awake besides him.
“You three report to my office now,” shouted the principle. She had a rare smile on her face. It was like it was saying ha 1 in 10,000 and in a survey of 2000 I have three.
Lintian was still somewhat dazed by the experience but did not move at all.
“You there hurry up and go” the principle shouted pointing at Lintian.
“Huh? Oh,” Lintian said and got up and went.
Lintian and two other students sat outside her office. They secretary made them sit there and wait for the principle. It turns out that everyone woke up from their nap ten mins after the device was activated.
The principle walks into her office with Dr. Harris.
“You three come with me,” she instructed.
The three of them got up and followed her in.
“Sit.”
The three of them found a chair to sit on.
“This is Dr. Harris he is a spell master and will instruct you three on the path to a spell master. Whether you become one or not is up to you. He will test you later to see if you were able to resist because of training or because you truly are one.”
“Principle Garner, I don’t think I need to be tested because my mom is a spell master herself and has been teaching me.”
Principle Garner’s eyebrows raised up in surprise.
“Jenny I will test the other one right now. Lintian is in my group so I can test him later,” Dr. Harris said as he walks over to the boy. He place his hand on his hand on the other kid’s head and the kid fell asleep.
“He does not possess the aptitude for spell master. Someone taught him how to resist mind invasion techniques. Lintian, follow me.”
“Harris take care of him. I want to see him ready in seven years time for the inter middle school competition.”
“Jenny I know what my tasks are. You don’t have to worry. In seven years your school will place top for both second rate and first rate schools and I can guarantee that. Just wait for the surprise,” he said smiling.
Lintian followed Harris out the door and into his office. Harris pulls out a paper manual from his ring.
“Lintian becoming a spell master is not easy. I want to see if you are able to understand 25 percent of this manual. It is the way to strengthen your conscious energy. I will teach you how to make seals when you turn thirteen. Without proper cultivation, and strength it will cause more harm than good. Have you got the timing down for the Soul Penetrating fist yet?”
“Yes, I finally manage to get the timing down three days ago. Right now I have a 3 in four chance of successfully using the technique.”
“Not bad,” laughs Harris. He has taught other kids this technique and most of those kids were in the martial realm. It still took them almost five months to get the timing down to where Lintian got them.
“Lintian this technique that I taught you has two stages you are only at stage one. Stage two begins when you are a spell master. Once you complete stage two than the strength of this technique will be able to hurt a cultivation who is a whole realm above you.”
“Would that be a rank 8 martial art then?” asked Lintian mouth wide open.
“Yes and no. If I was to rank it. Then it would be rank 5. Only because of all the requirements and the simplicity of it. Rank 8 techniques usually would take people years to completely understand. Some genius might only take a year but for most people a couple years. For mine as long as the requirements are met one year is more than enough.

Re:Interference- Did something go wrong with my Rebirth?
> The GOD made a simple offer. And the man rejoiced, and gladly accepted. However...something goes wrong, and instead of being reborn, the man wakes up inside a strange room in a ruined temple. > -NOTICE- This series is also available on my personal blog, along with two other series I am currently working on (blog exclusives). -NOTICE- CHANGE OF SCHEDULE- Due to some IRL stuff, I am forced to change the schedule for Re:Interference. Because of that, I will make two major changes to the schedule. First, I will be able to release one single chapter each week. Next, the release of it will be random. That means, one week I could release it on friday, the next one on sunday etc... whenever a chapter is ready (writing, editing, proofreading of 9000+ words) it will be released. If you read this, please do keep in mind that: English is not my native language (so, by all means, if you spot bad grammar/ wrong terms etc take your time to leave a comment, it will help me a lot) As this is my first attempt at writing a web novel (well...technically it's my second attempt...but oh well) please leave some feedback about the story. Any kind of feedback will be appreciated (unless it is just blatant, non-funny insult) Thank You for your Time!
