《Asura》Chapter 28-Dancing Moonlight

The day whistled by as Lintian was trying to getting the timing down for the Soul Penetrating Fist. After 50 to 60 attempts at the Soul Penetrating Fist, Lintian was exhausted. Not once did he manage to get the timing down perfectly. It was always off by half a second from what Dr. Harris said. It was like playing that sonic and tails spinner game where you try to press at the exact time the light hits your targeted number. While the speed of the light was ramped up by a multiple of ten.
Lintian went home at three o clock completely exhausted. His whole right and left arms were throbbing. Dr. Harris wanted Lintian to be able to use the Soul Penetrating Fist on both hands so he had Lintian arms take turns practicing the timing which makes it a lot harder.
Lintian went to visit his mother Yukira Tsukino.
“Mom how are you?” Lintian asks seeing her in bed reading a book.
“Oh Lin er your home. Did you eat yet?” she asked gently.
“No not yet. I was wondering if mom wants to eat together with me. Dad is busy with work. Yuki, Kira, Tsuna are still in school.”
“Oh. Tina can you go prepare a meal for us.”
“Yes Madam,” answered a middle age maid. She did a quick light bow and left the room.
“Mom wanna go for a walk? I heard the doctors say that it might help you get better.”
“Silly child of course mommy would go for a walk with you. Come over and help mommy up.”
“Ok,” Lintian said and walks over to help her up. Lintian felt his mom’s tender hands. It was warmer and less bony than before. His mom slowly got up and leans onto Lintian a bit. The attendants on the sides were ready to help incase anything happens.
They walked out of the room hand in hands and took a tour of the koi pond they have.
“Lintian hows school going for you? Its not hard is it?” Yakira asks.
“No its pretty easy but cultivation is a bit slow. Plus this really weird teacher picked me to be on his personal students group. I don’t think he means any harms by it.”

“That is good. Being in those groups are normally a good thing. You might get stronger with him helping you. “
They both sat their quiet for a bit.
“Lin’er have you learn in any body movement skills yet?”
“No, not yet.” Lintian replied while thinking if the Emperor Step count as movement skill.
“Oh. How about mommy teach you the Tsukino family light body movement skill? Right now I am weaken to the martial realm because of the demonic wolf and my body is still quite frail even with the martial realm qi but I can still teach you the light body movement skill,” Yukira stated matter o factly. Lintian can see a trace of pride on his mom’s face. So there were no way he could deny it. Plus he loves to learn especially martial art skills.
“Really? That be awesome,” shouted Lintian excitedly.
“Haha of course. You know how strong I was before the wolf incident. I am only number 3 in the family ranking. I’ll transfer the instructions into your brain,” she said as lifts up her hand. Her index fingers touches Lintian’s forehead and information flowed into Lintian’s mind. Lintian was able to digest the amount of information he received. Some he were not able to digest but he’ll just review it later.
“This body movement skill is call the Dancing Moonlight. When using this skill your speed will double. Normally our family kids would practice the basics of this skill when they began training their body so it becomes second nature to them. Your two years late but still not too late. Your dad said you have a high comprehension on martial techniques so you should be fine. Now I’ll give you a demonstration. I can only do this once so watch careful.”
Lintian nodded his head. Extremely excited to watch. He also felt that using Emperor’s Step was a footwork skill and not a body movement skill. While his speed increase his body, and hand speed was still the same.
Yukira got up and began to move. She leaped onto the pond and began to dance. The water ripples like it was giving birth to lotus flowers. Every single movement she does created a blur. She was like a fairy dancing on top of the pond, sparkling and bathing in the moonlight. It seems like her afterimages were being captured by the drops of water she hit into the air. Furthermore in the excitement Lintian’s dragon eyes activated and he notices that the ripples were always about 6 inches behind from the image of her feet on the surface. From this Lintian concluded that maybe her mother’s real body was about 6 inches behind the actual image. Especially since Lintian knows that the Tsukino family techniques deals a lot with illusions.

His mother began to slow down her movements and came back onto the land.
“It beautiful,” Lintian praises in awe. Lintian then notices that she was breathing a little heavy and ran over to support her.
“Lin’er thank you. You won’t be able to practice to my level until you reach at least stage six of refinement realm. For now it will increase your body movement. You will only be able to use it like you're walking when you reach the martial realm.”
“Mom rest first,” Lintian said as he sat Yukira down. Then Lintian felt his watch vibrate. It was Dr. Harris.
“Mom were the images I saw real or illusions? I saw that the ripple was always about six inches away from the images.”
His mother was stun by his question and then she answers, “yes the images are illusions. It's the use of presence combine with qi to create the illusion but yes I am always half a feet behind. Our strongest techniques are with the sword. With this body skill we can confuse the enemy in battle. It will be hard for them to differentiate between distance.”
“Mom I am gonna try it out can you watch me?”
“Sure go ahead.”
Lintian walks over and was about to step into the pond.
“Lin’er stop!” shouted his mom, “try on the ground first.”
“Oh,” snapped out of his daze and realizes he doesn't know how to walk on water yet.
Lintian began move the qi in his body like the instructions his mother gave him. His body began to assimilate the qi. His joints began to absorb the qi like a sponge. Qi began to enter his muscles and began to connect all over his body. Lintian began to move. The movements were a lot faster than he expected. His joints were loose and his muscles release a lot more power. A little bit like he's on steroids.
Yukira watched in amazement. What usually took a kid a week to do took Lintian 5 minutes. This comprehension was a little too scary. Even she took a whole day before getting the basics down. Also the amount of improvements to his speed was about 30 percent. His movements was still inconsistent with the skill but that part usually just takes a time.
After five minutes of moving with the body skill Lintian felt tired. He then saw a maid ran over to greet them.
“Madam Tsukino and young master Lintian the food is ready and I made extra since Tsuna and Yuki have both arrive back.”
“Call them over and we can have a meal together,” said Yukira delightfully.
While his mom was distracted Lintian took a peak at his watch. He saw Dr. Harris’s message.
[Meet me at the forest in the back at 6’oclock. Here is the map of the location.]
Lintian took a quick sneak peak of the map and closed the file.
“Ok. Mom lets go,” Lintian said.
Since his mom was still tire Lintian helped her up and supported her all the way to the dining room. Lintian took a seat next to his mom and waiting for the food to come out. A few minutes passed and Tsuna and Yuki entered together. Tsuna looks a bit grumpy and Yuki was full of optimistic energy.
“Mom, Lintian how was your day?” Yuki asked.
“Yuki good I was with Lin’er early. Tsuna are you ok?” Yakira answered.
“Yeah I was with mom earlier and she showed me the Dancing Moonlight body skill,” Lintian responded.
“Oh cool. Its pretty hard to learn. I took me a whole month when I started two years ago,” Yuki answers Lintian.
“I’m fine,” Tsuna responded grumpily.
“Tsuna if something is bothering you please tell me,” Yukira said.
For the rest of the lunch they all talk back and forth about their day while Tsuna sat there all grumpy.
