《Orb Of Oblivion [Dungeon Story RE-WRITE]》Chapter 13: New Sphere Summoner Skill

Our dead are never dead to us, until we have forgotten them.
George Eliot
Inside a very small dungeon room was a furious young man. He was searching around frantically, trying to find an exit. Naturally this flustered person was David Lee. He was banging onto the walls with his hands, searching for a way out. He had been doing this for a few dozens of minutes after he had found out that his life was bonded to the Dungeon Core.
'If this core breaks, I die...' He thought, sadly while still searching for an escape. He wanted to leave because there was nothing he could do in there since he had no dungeon coins to renovate and expand the dungeon. He also briefly remembers that at level five dungeoneering, you could start earning your own dungeon coins. He didn't know how to, but he would have to reach level five so that he could use those dungeon coins that could be earned and use it to help build the dungeon.
He didn't want to just rely on the 1000 Dungeon Coins that the dungeon naturally generates. The dungeon would give him a total of 3000 DC over these three months and he didn't know if that would be enough. So, he had a plan once he had gotten out of the dungeon, which were; training his combat skills, find some more newbie dungeons to reach level five dungeoneering, and after that, rack up some Dungeon Coins before teleporting back to the dungeon to build it up.
"Master, what are you doing?" A bright squeaky voice echoed throughout the isolated room.
"I'm trying to find a way out" Said David, annoyed at the fact that a tiny fairy that looked like an uncle was calling him master.
"That’s easy, just focus your mind, and think about leaving" The fairy said as if it was common knowledge.
'Eh?' David had stopped banging on the walls and began to focus his mind. Funnily enough, he could feel a barrier in his mind. He made a mental figure of himself, and made that figure walk past the barrier.
Woooooooooooosh
He found himself outside. David opened his arms out wide like Jesus, he was happy to feel the sun ray shine onto him. Taking in a gulp of fresh air and admiring the healthy environment, he was finally glad to leave the dusty, boring old dungeon room, and he was also happy to leave behind the fai...
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" David heard a high pitch voice behind him, he opened his eyes wide in shock as he saw the figure copying his Jesus pose.
"I'm outside!" Shouted the fairy, he was now standing beside David, finally bathing in the sunlight for the first time.
"You... How did you get out?" David said with a shocked expression, he clearly didn't like this outcome.
"I don't know, but master, does this mean I get to follow you around?" The fairy said excitedly, trying its best to fly up into the sky, the fairy then landed onto the shoulder of his master, who was stunned stiff.
JoJo's Avatar
Teleport to Dungeon (Teleport towards your dungeon from anywhere in the world with the Avatar, available only once a month, unused teleportation can roll over to next month and be stacked)
Teleportation use: 1
Death (Death of this Avatar will not result in death of the Dungeon Core, in case of an Avatars death, it can be resummoned again after one month of cooldown, also death will not affect the Dungeon Core functionality)
Long Distant Order (If Dungeon Master and Avatar is outside of the Dungeon, the Master can still take control of the whole Dungeon, through speaking with the Avatar, you can see the inside of the dungeon, this function is useful when you are in the outside world and your dungeon has been attacked.

Idleness (Avatar has zero fighting strength)
David fell into a daze, ignoring the fairy who was chattering away on his shoulders. He thought that this new function was very useful because not only does he have the ability to maintain his dungeon without being inside it, he also gets to teleport to it. But the bad thing was, that these functions were only available if the Avatar was beside him, which means that he had to take it while journeying.
He didn't know when, but he decided to walk in the opposite direction of the Vermont Town. He did not want to be anywhere near that place. This was the town where his former teacher resides, the Elven Guild Leader. He also decided to delay his meeting with the Faeris twin. It's not that he didn't want to, he just had to go through Vermont Town to reach them.
He didn't dare think about going around the town to meet them, that was just suicide because there were many wild beast, bandits and other hidden dangers. But if he was to be honest, those were just excuses. He just didn't want to be caught and found anywhere near that area because then the Guild Leader would get word that he is alive. He did not want that to happen. He would not face her until he knew he was strong enough to protect himself against her.
JoJo was just sitting on David’s shoulders, staying idle and taking in the sight of the outside world. Whenever he sees something new and exciting, he would make noises like 'Ooooooh, Ahhhhhhh'
David was getting bored playing with the tennis ball as to grind for exp, he didn't expect that after getting to level three in his title, that playing normally with the ball took far longer to gain exp then before. So, while walking through the seemingly endless forest he decided to take out the mysterious paper from his bag. He briefly saw the pair of warm socks that Maggie had made which made his heart skip a beat, he then ignored the socks and began focus his attention onto the mysterious paper.
Once he held it in his two hands, the white blank paper began to shine brightly, illumination the vast lonely forest. Some mysterious ancient texts had appeared that looked like the language only gods used. He saw these texts before last time he held the paper, back in the dungeon. If he lets go of the paper, the bright shiny writing will disappear, which was odd and magical.
He felt an invisible pressure of force, radiate onto his body. He couldn't help but tremble slightly, his hands had almost dropped the paper, but he held on tightly with a firm grip, not letting go no matter what.
The paper had caught the attention of the fairy, it began to think on its own before yelping out in surprise. The fairy was then tugging onto the ears of David, who was feeling quite annoyed at the others action.
"I feel that... I feel that you have to rip the paper in half!" The fairy said, yelling into his ears.
"Huh? Why would I do that?" David said in a questionable tone. But the fairy just told him to trust him, before pulling harder on David’s ear.
"Fine, just stop that!" David snapped angrily. In his mind, he thought that it was unfair, why couldn't he had gotten a beautiful female fairy with a higher IQ. He felt that he was cursed with balls because he had gotten a fairy that looked like a round plumb soft ball.

He sighed sadly but he had decided to trust his new companion, and although he was very hesitant, he had decided to rip the paper in half.
[Permission of the Gods has been used]
[1 skill token received]
The sparkling paper had turned into dust fragment, these specks had all gathered into mid-air, they were shining very brightly before they were sent flying into the pores of David Lee. At first, he had panicked, cursing the fairy with every creative curse word that he could think out loud. Jojo's eyes were wide open in shock because he had never heard this kind of mouth before. How could he had known that David had been raised in Australia, and in school he had heard many different kinds swear words between friends, David had even heard his high school teacher swear as well.
"You dumb c*nt, are you trying to kill me!" Cried David as he felt his body heating up to extreme temperature, but he soon had calmed downed after the heat had gone away before ignoring the flustered fairy before concentrating on the strange scene appearing in his mind.
Inside his mind was a giant holographic screen. At the top of that screen was a giant text that says, 'Permission of the Gods' and underneath that was a whole list of text that seemed innumerable. He saw that the list contains names of skills. His jaw had reached so far down as he continue to examine everything, he saw that there were hundreds of skills. But all these skills seem to have a relation to the shape of a sphere.
Some of the skills were so credulously crazy, there were skills like summoning a Sun! There were too many unbelievable skills to count, which had made him excited.
'Would I be able to choose one of these?' He thought, because he saw that at the bottom of the list was a text, it says that he has one token. He thought that it meant that he could use the token to choose one a skill? He didn't dare wait any longer and had directly used it.
Ding!
[1 Skill Token has been used]
He was prepared to choose between a few of the skills that had caught his attention, thought he didn't have time to look through thousands of different skills, he saw a few that stood out.
Wormhole Sphere, opening up a wormhole which can be used to teleport long distance.
Meteor Shower, summon a wave of meteors to destroy cities whole.
Particle Control, bend particles to your will.
He couldn't help but drool over all these kind of skills, he then decided ultimately decided on one of the skill, Phoenix Egg Rebirth, it was a passive that gives you an extra life. If you die, your body is reverted into an invincible egg and after a period of time, the egg hatches and you will be revived but once this is used, the skill disappears.
"Huh?" He had discovered that even after trying to choose this skill that it didn't work, and instead, the very first skill had an arrow next to it, after that, he could see that the arrow began to travel downwards. Only one skill can be pointed to at a time, so he had guessed that this was some kind of lottery.
This had caused his once good mood to take a step backwards. He was frustrated that he couldn't pick a skill and that it was basically a lottery, a game of chance. But he decided to stop complaining, since getting something was better than nothing at all. David Lee then apologised to the fairy, who was hiding from him behind a small bush. JoJo slowly came into view and accepted the apology, he then acted like nothing had happened before returning to sit on David’s shoulders.
David saw that the arrow had been moving too fast. The arrow had been moving past many kinds of abilities. He saw some skills that didn't get to before since it was too far down the list. The arrow went over, Lightning Ball, Ice Ball, Air Ball.... Spherical Drones, Automatons, Nanobots....
He also saw some strange movement techniques like Meteor Rush, Dance of the stars, and many more. It seems that no matter what the skill was, if it was useless or not. If the skill was related to something spherical, then it’s on the list.
He then saw some support skills, he didn't mind getting any support skills such as Healing ball, Defensive Barriers and so. There were also some different kinds of orb totems, these float around you like summons, these flying balls had many uses like gifting bonus attributes, such as increase speed, or increase resistance to elements like fire and water etc.
He saw that the arrow had already reached the bottom and had returned back towards the top. Once the arrow had almost reached a skill he had wanted, he decided to shout "Stop" The arrow began to slow down. He couldn't help but be disappointed. The arrow had slowed down drastically, and it did not stop onto any of the skill he wanted. The arrow slowly arrived at a normal skill called Earth Ball, he was very dissatisfied with this, but there were simply too many elemental ball skills, he had a higher chance at getting one of these skills than unique one.
But before he could blink, the arrow that was moving as slow as a turtle, that was on the brink of stopping, had suddenly moved onto the next skill and stopped.
[Congratulation on gaining the skill: Mystical Hyper Sweat]
His face went blank, 'Mystical Hyper Sweat? What the heck is that?' He thought with a dumbfounded expression before looking into his personal interface.
Mystical Hyper Sweat [Level 1 EXP 0/2500]
Passive Skill, [Mystical Sweat: On]
[Turn On/Off]
[Your body is now able to secrete balls of mystical sweat]
[Mystical Sweat can unclog pores and purge basic toxins, which means that sweat load can easily open the pores and releases impurities inside the body. This also helps maintains your skin, and increases your heat resistance when coated in sweat]
Active Skill [Hyper Sweat Blast]
[Cost 80% of Mana and 99% of Stamina]
[Gathers all sweat inside of body towards the right palm, the sweat grows extremely boiling hot as it concentrates and compresses into a tight sphere, ready to discharge at any moment. The more mana and stamina you have, the stronger the blast]
[Warning, using this blast will leave you in a state of extreme exhaustion]
'What the...This skill has so many different attribute; cleaning the body of impurities and toxins, improves and maintain your skin, improves heat resistance when coated in sweat, and that’s only the passive effect! There is also an ability that seems like a final finisher, a special move' He thought excitedly.
He didn't exactly care about the sweating part because he was an athlete, so what if he sweats twice as much as before. If it helps him grow stronger than it can only be something positive, although he was thinking about the smell factor, he didn't want to always be smelling bad due to the sweat, but thankfully there was an on/off option.
He also thought that since his body and excrete mystical sweat now, would he be able to expel weak poison since the description of the skill said that it can allow him to purge basic toxins.
He was lost in thought, thinking about his new skill and thinking about how it was weird that the skill needs 2500 EXP to level up to level two, but the fairy beside him started to pull on his ear.
"What is it now?" David said annoyed, but the fairy just pointed to the far distance.
He looked towards that position, but he couldn't help but grow bleak, his expression went sour as a band of bandits had appeared in sight. They also saw him and began to charge towards him. But it was too late run since they were all riding horses.
"JoJo teleport us back to the Dungeon!" Roared David who saw the bandits coming closer and closer.
"Master, it takes one hour of preparation to summon the teleportation portal..." JoJo said in a panic, releasing a bombshell in David’s mind.
It was too late for regret now since the bandits had already surrounded the duo, they looked like ruthless murderous, clouds of killing intent had been directed towards them. David couldn't help but tremble slightly as beads of sweat came pouring out of his forehead. The Mystical Sweat Passive is now working, but David couldn't care less since the sweat was hindering him, he was constantly wiping the sweat away from his eyes so that his vision wouldn't be blinded.
All the bandits laughed at the young man since he looked like a scared chicken. The leader of the group had pointed his weapon towards the duo with a murderous expression. It was a pity because David had travelled this way specifically to avoid meeting troublesome things like bandits, he also thought to himself, 'Why would there be bandits here in the middle of nowhere?'
"Was that shining light from before, you? Hurry and take out the treasure and we will leave you with one arm and leg intact!" The Bandit Leader said in a merciless tone.
“Wait, wait, I’ll take it out!” David said in a panic tone. He had taken off the bag on his back and under the watchful eyes of the dozens of bandits, he had opened the bag, he then placed his hand inside.
David then started to pretend to search around inside the bag before pulling his hand back out again. The initial happy and greedy guises of the bandits had turned into one of rage because David Lee had pulled out a middle finger to all of them.
“F*ck you all, dogshit c*nts, go f*ck yourselves!” Yelled David. Although he was scared, he didn’t want to die being a coward, so he bravely put of an unyielding front. His had grown back into his original personality from his old life. When he first came into this new world, he was shy, confused and clueless, but since he had been in this world for quite some time, he had finally integrated back into his true self.
Whether it was tennis or video games, he was a hooligan. Always on the offensive in both pathways. On a particular MOBA game, he calls his useless teammates noobs and trashes while in tennis he always uses overbearing serves and volley attacks. Though he is like this, he is also kind as well, he offers to help those that he calls trash and noobs by giving them pointers in private matches, though they usually reject such notion by sending a bout of curses his way.
“My master will f*ck your mother! You c*nts!” Roared JoJo, he was flashing out two middle fingers while standing on David’s shoulders, he didn’t want to miss out on acting thug-like. David’s swearing had been picked up by JoJo, losing his innocence as this was the start of him turning into a hooligan. But even so, JoJo's was now actually acting like how he looks like, a middle age yakuza uncle, even if he is small in sized.
“You… I will f*cking kill you bastards! Show no mercy!” Roared the bandit leader, he ordered all of his men to attack at once, he wanted them to dismember both of them alive so that they could feel excruciating pain before dying.
David couldn’t help but feel a sense of loss, he absolutely didn’t want to die here, but since he had no way to escape, he wanted to take down at least one of the bandits down with him. He had long chosen his choice of target. The Bandit Leader.
David had decided that he will use his special move, Hyper Sweat Blast to kill the man in one blow.

"I write. I am a writer. I am proud of myself for writing."The last months have been a true roller-coaster of emotions for me, and I did the one thing a writer would do in such a situation-I wrote about them. I wrote until my fingers hurt from typing and I wrote until my hands were stained with ink.For me, putting feelings into words has always made me feel better, or helped me understand what I was going through. I believe in the healing and therapeutic power of writing. And so, I wrote poems. Poems that I want to share with the world. This is the collection of the poetry that I wrote so far. The poems that may be written in the future, after the collection is out, will also be uploaded.
