All strange and terrible events are welcome, but comforts we despise

He was glad that he didn’t overreact at the time or else he would had attracted the full force of the goblin tribe, and that would had been very unfortunate since he only had a little bit of mana.
So, he let them take him behind the huge boulder and decided to act like them, laying low for now. Malcolm was happy to see David alive and well, so were the other two for some reason, and before they asked what happened, they turned their eyes to search for the young thief with an annoyed expression.
They all tried to spot her coming in from the entrance where David had come from, but David just shook his head, he couldn’t help but feel angry when remembering her, it was the second time he wanted someone to die so badly, the first was that bandit who made fun of him and Maggie from before.
After carefully thinking about what to say, he decided to come clean about what had happened. How he had accidentally stumbled up a random ledge in the cliff which had saved his life. He found three treasure chests in a hidden cave from where he fell. The trio’s eyes lit up when he mentioned those two words, but then went dumbfounded as they heard that two of the chest were carnivorous mimics.
He also come clean about the details of how the young thief died and everything she said. The Monk stared at him with his black pupiled eyes, scanning his face with what seemed like an ability. The monk felt that he had detected no hint of dishonesty. So, the monk and the other two boys believed the story. They wanted to know the treasure he got from the last chest. David only told them that it contained the mysterious vial, and a poem.
He purposely left out the crystal for obvious reason; he didn’t want anyone to know that he absorb crystals yet. He then suddenly remembered something, he slowly took off his bag and took out the mysterious vial of murky green liquid and passed it onto the dumbfounded appraiser.
He told Alfred that he wanted it appraised. Alfred nodded in agreement. Alfred also did say that Malcolm did not have to owe him for this task as appraising new items will give him free experience points, and that would be enough payment for him to bear.
Alfred took a hold of the vial carefully, he tinted his glasses and started to seriously look observe the object, suddenly he activated an appraising skill, luckily it didn’t cause any big commotion, but the skill made his eye light up for just a moment. David saw that Alfred was carefully reading something, he thought that it should be a holographic note. So he smiled, because that meant the appraisement was a success.
Alfred had sighed, before handing the vial back to its owner. David quickly, but carefully held it in his hands and focused his mind on it.
Goblin’s Insanity Potion (Max upgrade is E+, Last for 3 minutes)
[Increases Strength by a minor grade]
[Increases Dexterity by a minor grade]
[Decreases Intelligence by a minor grade]
[Decreases Perception by a minor grade]
"So, this potion is called Goblins Insanity, it is said to increase your strength and dexterity by a minor grade but decreases your intelligences and perception by a minor grade also. The limitations are that that you your strength and dexterity will not increase over E+ Rank and that the potion will only last for three minutes"

He read out softly for the others to hear, but he couldn't help but be let down from disappointment. So, if he was to drink it now, his strength and dexterity will go from F to F+, but his intelligence and perception would go from F to F-…
‘Does F- even exist?’ He thought with confusion.
He would not dare use it because, who would want to go extremely dumb? He wanted to move on, so he placed the potion back in his bag, and then he told them about the strange riddle.
“What's round, fragile and holds half the formula to life” He said embarrassedly.
To which they dismissed, it was totally random which is why he left the paper back at the hidden cave. They were now on another matter, the goblin tribe. Observing the village from afar, they could see that there were around twenty or so goblins, maybe more inside their village grass huts.
Malcom suggested that they should just rush in, but there was a problem with facing both the spear wielding taller goblins, who can poke from a safe distance, and the goblins with bows that could support from afar, anyone of them would quickly turn into a human porcupine. Another fact is that there will only be three of them fighting as Alfred is at least almost useless in combat. He could at most, with his higher perception, small frame and appraising abilities, become a scout if needed.
David suggested to divide and conquer the enemy, but they were all confused as to what he was talking about. Instead of explaining, he decided to give a little show, he did repeatedly say that it fine for me to go and that he knew what he was doing. This calmed them down a little, they were all following from a position not so far away, so they could see his every action.
He walked out slowly from the hiding spot, crouching down low as to avoid detection, holding tightly onto the bone dagger and luckily in this underground dungeon, there were a lot of huge rocks to hide and sneak around, so he could get closer to the outer edge of the village while still hidden.
He saw that there was a spear wielding goblin wandering around on the edge, kicking stones and picking its nose. He saw the goblin eat the slimy green booger which made him nearly voice out in disgust.
He was stalking him from behind a rock, so he decided to take out the tennis ball slowly. He was still very nervous, but he held himself together while breathing softly as to not make a fatal mistake. David then decided to roll the tennis ball a few metres away from him, the ball wasn't too far away, and it was lead to an area out of sight from other goblins. The noise was at a minimal, but enough to attract the attention of that singular goblin.
“Dar daan maach” The goblins voice was croaky and hoarse, David didn't understand a word it said, but the goblin had slowly scuttled towards the tennis ball, still on guard. The goblin pointed it spear in the direction where it heard a sound, and it didn't see anything but a small green ball. The goblin decided to drop its spear just to pick the ball up slowly for a closer observation.
“Tuun tuur” It played with the ball while squeezing it with joy, but little did he know that a human was sneaking up from behind with a sharp bone knife.
“A kuugaan ar” Was the last thing it said before a flash of red blood squirted out of its neck like a waterfall. David quickly hid the body behind a large rock, so it could hide out of sight from the village before returning towards the dumbfounded trio with his tennis ball.

Health 54/100 Mana: 31/100
[Killed 1 Green Rank Goblin]
[+ 8.16 Dungeoneering EXP]
[+ 7,14 Sphere Summoner EXP]
"That was so bloody awesome! Where did you learn that from?" The Monk whispered excitedly.
"Just from a game I use to play a lot" David said, remembering his old earth, his memories were still there... He also saw that he gained exp for his title, and his tennies, ball, albeit only a little bit because it was used to set up a trap.
"Wow that's awesome" Malcom said while giving a thumb up.
After they all finally calming down they all planned to do the exact same thing all over the village until the number of goblins dwindle down vastly. It was decided that Malcolm and the Monk will handle the archers, while Alfred and David will take care of the spear wielders.
“Break a leg” David whispered to them for good luck, but this saying wasn't known to this world, so they were all confused by what he said, but David had just shrugged and laughed it off without explaining and started to move off on his own.
“Haac Rhach”
“Daarelaan”
“Rhaan Ghech”
Health 54/100 Mana: 31/100
[Killed 3 Green Rank Goblin]
[+ 24.48 Dungeoneering EXP]
[+ 21.42 Sphere Summoner EXP]
These were the last words of the three goblins that he had managed to slay smoothly. For some reason, killing goblins didn’t bother him as much as he thought it would, maybe because the situation he was, was still unbelievable to even himself. He cleared his mind of any distracting thoughts before another trap for another wandering goblin. But something unexpected had happened...
"AHHHHHHH"
He heard a loud scream from the distance, it was Alfred, he saw that Alfred had a spear penetrated his left shoulder, it stabbed through cleanly.
All the goblins had turned to that direction and snarled, screeching out in their own language while preparing to rush out to attack. David took advantage of this, and came out of hiding, he sneaked up behind the goblin he was about to trap.
Wooosh
He had used a little too much force due, the knife slashed towards the back of the neck of the tiny goblin, its neck was very thin, so the knife had cut through cleanly, a head fell down towards the ground with a thump, the sight was very alarming as blood was squirting out of the neck like a fountain.
David had to question himself in that my moment, he was thinking about what the hell was he doing? Why was he in a dungeon? Why did he let himself be convinced to go dungeoneering? Was it because he had one week of training? He had overestimated himself, because he could sense the anger of all the remaining goblins, onto himself. He suddenly thought that the Dungeoneering Guild Leader was not a simple person after all or else, why did it feel like she had sent him to his death…
“Huukec Araalkaan, Akhan!” The Shaman Goblin yelled in anger, pointing towards the stabbed human intruder, some of the remaining goblins went to charge towards Alfred, and some to David because they saw him killing one of their own.
“Ha!”
Something happened, a fierce voice echoed through the dungeon, it was the Monk, he came out of hiding and charged into the village with speed, he held his giant club tightly before smashing the head of one goblin into a pulp.
This diverted the attention of the goblins focus, making them all split up, and so this is how the fight became messy and uncoordinated. The Shaman was very confused, he seems to have been shouting over and over in his own language, recalling all goblins. But as the Shaman observed his surroundings, all his loyal subjects had seemingly disappeared, the numbers of goblins had dwindled by many folds! All the archers were nowhere to be seen, the spear wielders were also missing, the Shaman had never panicked this much before, he felt immense anger, hatred and wanted to slaughter all the impudent humans as revenge.
In total there was the Shaman and six other goblins, one spear wielder and five sword wielders. David was facing two sword wielders. He gripped his bone dagger tightly before rushing out, the clumsy goblins attack seems too slow to David as they slashed down towards him. But who was David? Someone who was one step closer to becoming a pro tennis player, he had top notch athletic skills, ingrained into him since he was young by his parents.
He had easily dodged the two blows from the two goblins and side-stepped before leaping forward and stabbing the dagger into one of the goblins eyes. The dagger had penetrated all the way towards the brain.
Health 54/100 Mana: 31/100
[Killed 1 Green Rank Goblin]
[+ 8.16 Dungeoneering EXP]
[+ 7.14 Sphere Summoner EXP]
He then took out the tennis ball he had on himself and threw it towards the other goblin. This goblin had started to panic as a green mysterious ball flew towards it, the goblin strike was too slow before the ball had hit its head. This made the goblin dumbfounded as it felt no pain, it was in a daze because what happened was too weird. It suddenly heard footsteps, but it was too late because David had stabbed it in the brain. The goblin died with endless regret and rage as it fell towards the ground, lifeless.
Health 54/100 Mana: 31/100
[Killed 1 Green Rank Goblin]
[+ 8.16 Dungeoneering EXP]
[+ 7. 14 Sphere Summoner EXP]
He had gained a little exp from that throw, making him almost level up again in his title. He was a little bit tired from all that action, but he remained calmed, he picked up his tennis ball before running off towards the others. He saw that the Monk and Malcolm had easily killed off their goblins, which means that there were only two goblins left alive, it was the Shaman, and the spear wielder who was still standing over the injured appraiser with arrogance.

Rain Sabbath
Weeks before graduating highschool, Marie Weiss encounters the transfer student Felix Conti; a strange boy claiming to be on a research mission in the oceanic town of Sapphire Isle. In the following days, strange phenomena occur in alarming intensity. Monsters stalk the night, shadows come to life, and an invisible storm looms on the horizon. Out of everyone, Marie has the most reason to worry. No town is big enough for two witches, after all. Updates every Saturday at 5PM EST. Note: This is the first draft. Expect some fumbling and numbling and fiddly dunwhoozithowers here and there. Apologies in advance.

After trading his own life to save a little girl Daichi Akiyama found himself in an empty space where nothing exist nothing but his consciousness, until one day a black hole appeared out of nowhere and transferred him to another world. (Thanks for reading my first story! And yes the cover and all illustrations in the story are made by me just in case you want to know.)
8 137Chosen - A CYOARPG
“Help me Chosen. You are my only hope.”You have found yourself in blackness, with several options before you live your new life. That's right, this is a CYOA and a LITRPG all in one go. I'll be using something like a water downed DND 5E ruleset. I will typically wait 6-24 hours between chapters in order to make a decision, and then start writing after that.
8 175The Protector and the Peacemaker
The secret war between the Slayers and Mythics is secret no longer. Porter the Slayer and Sarah the sphinx have, through their unlikely love, become the bridge between the human and Mythic races, and together they hope they can find a way to end the fighting without one side destroying the other. With incriminating evidence against the Master Slayer, Drake Mortoph, there may be a chance that they can disband the Slayers before the two armies reach each other. Mortoph has more secrets than Porter and Sarah realize, though, and he will stop at nothing to keep them from being revealed.
8 178A Liliful World
Think about it, what were to happen if you were reincarnated to the virtual world you wanted to create; what a dream right, being able to live peacefully with no limitations... That was what I thought; the experiment failed...?! And to make it worse, I met a Yuri-fanatic Goddess who wishes to reincarnate me to the world I attempted to create but in exchange... I had to entertain her with yuri?! "What is going to happen to me?!!!!" Awards: ScribbleHub Anniversary 2 (3rd Place)Warning: This story is not meant to be taken seriously as it is a seriously not serious story, absolute fluff as always, additionally, this story is Girls' Love.
8 296Bedrock 巖盤 Ganban
Not everyone is born equal. In a world where everyone is born with an ability, some people get the short end of the stick. Kazuki is one of these people. He is one of the few people born with an F class ability, an ability so weak he is powerless against any foe. So weak that he holds the title of bedrock, a title that literally means “at the bottom.” But sometime very soon he will discover his true abilities and become the strongest adventurer in the land. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New version at https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/27723/bedrock-ganban This is the official version again. We decided to edit the chapters and change them instead of making an entirely new account. ~November 30: All of the chapters have been updated and improved. It took a few months, but the story is better than ever! As of today, new chapters with be posted every weekend.~ ~January 20: First off, Happy New Years! I hope you all can make use of this year even more than that last. I know we will.... Secondly, one of our writers has finals so the next couple (and previous) chapters may come out a day or two late and shorter than usual. We'll pick up pace after this week!~ ~April 20: Happy 4/20/2020, since we're starting to write longer chapters, it'll probably take longer for us to post some chapters. The output for chapters should be amped up after AP exams are over. ~October 20: Edited previous chapters some and re-wrote chapter 17 as it was terrible and didn't deserved to be released. Almost done with 18. -Posted 18
